Natsu POV:

"I'm a third generation dragon slayer." Luna says looking at me.

"What the hell!" I yell looking at her shocked.

"I couldn't tell you...I was too scared....He did this to me Natsu." She looks at me with tears in her eyes. "I'll explain everything later, but for now. We need to show these two the power of Fairy Tail." 

The determination in her eyes is almost terrifying but I understand where she's coming from, lighting my hands on fire I smile at her.

"I'm all fired up." 

"Lets do this." She says and lights her fists with the blue and silver flames.

She and I run forward to Sting and Rogue and begin sending fists and spells at them like a machine gun, one after another after another. Sting pants and then looks angry.

"Light Dragon ROAR!" He yells sending the beam of dragon slayer magic at us.

"Apocalypse Shield!" Luna yells and a large blue and white magic circle appears deflecting the spell.

The spell sends a destructive blast through the lower half of the arena where we're fighting, Luna looks a little breathless and I notice she's gone pale.

"Power down Luna, before you pass out." I say as Rogue sends his fists flying at me.

I dodge and duck but still manage to get hit a couple of times, we keep fighting and fighting and I feel like we're not making any process. Luna's powered down and is still able to fight, but she looks as drained as I do. She looks at me with a smirk and then takes my hand in hers.

"Unison Raid?" She asks me.

"Hell yeah." I say and light my hand on fire.

She lights her hand with her flames and then I glance at the two dragon slayers who look terrified, I pull Luna close and wrap an arm around her our hands still connected the flames mixing together. The light grows bigger and bigger until Sting and Rogue are covering their eyes from the light.

"Fire Dragon!" 

"Apocalypse Dragon!" 

"Unison Raid ROAR!" 

The flames come spewing from our mouthes in a large beam which envelopes the whole arena, once the smoke has cleared Luna is passed out in my arms and Sting and Rogue are down for the count.

"AMAZING! Team Fairy Tail wins 10 points for defeating Team Sabertooth!" The announcer yells.

With one hand on Luna keeping her upright I lift the other into the air and make the Fairy Tail hand symbol, with my pointer finger pointing up and my thumb sticking out I smile brightly. The sound of cheers is defining and Luna begins to wake slightly.

"Did it work?" She asks looking up at me.

"Yeah, we won." I say as she stands up.

People come down and help us back to the surface where everyone is cheering and calling our names, we walk over to the medical station to get some first aid. Luna has a couple of scrapes and some bruises but I have things that need a little more than a bandage, some deep cuts and I somehow managed to dislocate my shoulder in one of the blasts.

"How you feeling Luna?" I ask resting my hand on her bandaged one.

"Drained, but I think I look better than you." She says smiling.

"Hey! No Fair! I was in there longer than you!" I say giving her a playful nudge.

"Yeah but I helped you to win, just think if they hadn't said that I could come in you could be sitting in the Fairy Tail booth sulking." Luna says and then presses her forehead to mine.

"Why didn't you tell me you were a third generation dragon slayer? I could have helped you Luna, I don't know how but I could have helped." I say and notice the tears fill her eyes.

The people who were helping us take this as a time to leave, Luna sits down on her bed and pulls her knees to her chest resting her head on her knees. I've noticed that she does this every time she's nervous and if she's comforted when she's nervous then she stretches her legs out and wiggles her toes. I swing my legs off my bed and look at her, she sits pulling her legs in tightly and then she sighs looking at me with those beautiful blue eyes.

"It happened when I was being tested, I was eight at the time. Zeref came and before he started testing on me he pulled out this blue crystal, I noticed that dad looked terrified when he saw the crystal. But before I could react it was forced into my body with such force that I still have the scars from it...Then he tested on me and he told my father that the results were better than he could have hoped for." She says and sniff wiping a lone tear from her face.

"You were eight? That young?" I ask staring at her.

"Yeah, he said that the younger I was when he implanted the crystal the greater success I would have in learning the magic. Zeref also told me that the sooner I mastered the magic the sooner I would be able to become one of his followers. I knew it was something that I didn't want, I never wanted to be like him. I wanted to be like my father, the kind and caring person that he was...He saved me when I was all alone and I wanted to be like him, but then Zeref started to mess with him and I realised the only person I wanted to be like was me. It was a difficult childhood because I was constantly fighting with my self trying to figure out how to be my own person." She says and her legs begin to relax but her hands are still in fists.

"When did things get easier? I can tell the way you've been in the guild with your family that they've been helping you." I ask moving to sit with her on her bed.

"It was when I met you Natsu, the first thing you said to me was why do you smell like a dragon. Looking back on it I can't help but laugh, most people might have said that I looked like Mirajane or maybe that they felt strong magic within me. But you said I smelled like a Dragon, it might not mean a lot to just anyone but to me. I don't know why Natsu but it meant the world to me, and my family may have helped me to fit into the guild. But you helped me be me, Natsu without you I might have fallen away from the good person my dad taught me to be. Natsu.." She starts but I cut her off by pressing my lips onto hers.

The fire flows through my veins and I feel like nothing else in the world matters to me, she's been through so much and I've been able to help her keep being herself.

"I love you Luna, and I promise I'll help you stay being you. Even if Zeref were going to smash down that door right now I would protect you with my life." I say and take her hand. "Hey look, no scales." 

"It happened when I released the Dragon Drive, and I love you too Natsu Dragneel. I will love you until my dying breath." She says pulling me into her arms.

We lie together on her bed in each other's arms giving soft kisses every now and then until we've fallen asleep from the medication, and each other's warmth. I meant what I said, I will protect her and love her until she tells me otherwise. And tomorrow since we have the day off I'm going to show her how much I love her, by the two of us spending the whole day together.

Just the two of us.
