tango down

IT ALL HAPPENED SO FAST THAT NO ONE HAD THE CHANCE TO REACT. The detonation, the fall, the silence, the shock. The girl had reversed her quirk on herself, defying whatever propelled her to harm her classmates and friends, and take it out on herself instead, leaving Magnus and most frozen in place.
Tamaki reacted superbly, quickly snatching the girl from the bubbling lava circle with a tentacle and gently resting her on the ground. Eyes were closed, but her body was most definitely active. Dim green light courses through her veins, sparkling under her skin as she twitched and heavily breathed.
"Y-Y/N! Wake up!" The elven boy pleaded, now surrounded with heroes and students alike to see the girl. Tamaki reacted out to touch her, but yelped as his skin made contact with her, a zap keeping distance.
"Tamaki! What happened?" Mirio asked, kneeling down besides his frown as the boy rubbed his hand and stared at the girl, confused.
"I- just felt something... weird." He murmured, barely audible. "Nobody touch her... please." He looked up, watching as the heroes all exchanged a look and nodded, with most looking out onto the battlefield to observe the villains, mainly this 'Poltergiest'. He stood deathly still, magenta eyes unreadable as he gazed out onto the field of debris and shards.
"Wait!" A voice yelled, excusing himself through the crowd to see the fallen girl. "It's her quirk, I'm sure of it. Here, allow me." Taking of his helmet, Iida adjusted his glasses and removed his gloves, gritting his teeth. "She's trying to regenerate energy, but she can't do it on her own."
"Wait- what are you-"
Without warning, the knight pressed both hands on the girl, one on her shoulder and another on her knee, and gave a grunt in return. Green seeped through his fingers and into his body, shuddering as he closed his eyes and trembled.
"Iida! What are you doing!" Izuku shrieked, lunging forwards, only to be caught by Todoroki, who onlooked with a nod.
"He's transferring his energy to her." The half and half male said cooly, "He's saving her." Biting his tongue, the greenette nodded, and was forced to watch as the girl unconsciously absorbed the boys energy, green turning stronger and more vibrant in colour.
With a hiss, Iida fell back, landing on his ass as he breathed heavily, sweating profusely. His glasses were crooked, but he didn't seem to care as he stared intently at the girl, hoping his attempt wasn't for nothing. Emerald eyes fluttered open, coughing ensuing as she sat up and almost threw up.
"Thank... god." The navy haired boy heaved, before laying on his side and carefully breathing with Midoriya and Shinsou by his side. The girl was wide awake now, twisting and turning at the towering figures around her, unable to form words. Her eyes landed on the ragged form of Iida smiling at her, and clarity seemed to click.
The heroes all seemed to go silent, a few stepping back and away from the awakened girl, who stared directly through the crowd and at something in the near distance.
"You." She breathed harshly, hands clenched into fists as she walked forwards, the crowd dispersing and making a path as all eyes were on her. Boots clicking against the gravel, she walked, and then abruptly stopped, eyes locked on the figure a yard in front of her.
"I... will end... you." She growled, magenta eyes locked back onto the girl, a sigh escaping him.
"I tried, Y/N. I really did." Poltergiest yelled out, the silence enveloping his words after the echo. "I tried to make you into the perfect subject. The perfect soldier. And what do I get in return? A failure." Silence. "You could've been extraordinary. Something legends would've spoken off. But no." A crude smile broke out across his face.
"You just had to play the hero."
He hummed, swiping his silver perm away from his face, only for it to fall just above his fading eyebrows. The white suit he wore wasn't dirty, surprisingly, and even from a distance seemed to hold the class and perfection such a suit presented. He took his silky white gloves off, discarding them on the ground as his face blanked.
"Y'know, it didn't have to-"
"Are you happy with yourself, dad?!"
The blackette screamed out, voice cracking as she interrupted the older villain. "You weren't satisfied with ruining Takeyo's life, so you had to try and ruin mine as well!" She yelled out, making the male scowl, magenta eyes ablaze.
"He was weak! Unfit for my quirk! Such a waste of potential."
"DON'T YOU DARE TALK ABOUT MY BROTHER LIKE THAT!"
Sparks enveloped the floor as the enraged girl slammed her foot on the ground, heading towards the villain at frightening speed. Spikes run along the ground, piecing their sharp points directly at the male, wiping through the place he once stood in an instant. There was silence, and then an abrupt smash that erupted, shards flying every which way, decimating the energy spikes that were just formed.
Seven Nomu stood besides the tall male, a wide grin on his face, his white suit displaying smudges of dust now. He laughed heartily, petting one of the monstrous creatures before looking out towards his daughter.
"Did you really think I wouldn't bring backup? Nomu, kill them all! Stain the streets with their insides!" He cackled, the amalgamations by his side not wasting a second before charging towards the group of heroes, with the exception of two flying. If All Might struggled to fend off one, then how would the group fare with seven?
Before she got the chance to charge herself, an arm was held out in front of her, red orbs staring into hers as he looked back.
"Y/N, I can't let you do what you're about to do." Kirishima warned, displaying such a serious tone that even he did not know. Without a word, heroes rose to the front quirks activating as they made a line. "Leave it to us, I promise it'll all be okay." He gave a warm smile, before hardening his skin and standing side by side with heroes he had looked up to for most of his life.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Best Jeanist hauling away Iida with the help of Magnus, but she also saw something else.
"Shit."
She ran. Hard. Super speed making her body feel light and versatile as sparks danced along the ground she had stepped on. Gravity shifted, and now she ran vertically, boots clinking on the dying energy spike she ran on. Deactivating her primary quirk, she stood tall atop the pillar, the energy crumbling the longer she stay up there.
Pressing her hand to the surface, she disintegrated the crystal like face of the pillar, revealing a large, green and black grenade.
Cursing and disintegrating some more, she now shook the body of Bakugou Katsuki, who had his eyes closed and breathing shallow.
Hands gripping his shoulders, she grunted and wrapped an arm around his waist, hauling him to his feel with great difficulty. Escaping the crystallized energy stronghold, she looked down at the battlefield, and gasped softly. Nomu fought against the heroes, who seemed to have their work cut out for them as they continued to hit them over and over again, only for them to shrug it off and hit them back. Harder.
She ran over her options in her head, and they didn't look too hot right now. So instead of planning out an attack, she did what she did best. Ignore her thinking. She leaped off the pillar, taking the ash blonde with her. They free fell until her fingertips grazed the spike, created a surge of energy that tan down the spike and made a slope for them to slide down.
Sliding off the slope, she took the fall and let the unconscious boy use her as a landing pad, making her grunt and pushed him off her. Getting to her feet, she grabbed the ash blonde and activated her super speed, dashing to the trucks and safely delivering the male before sprinting back to the battlefield.
She made it, and ran across an ice spike, gunning for a Nomu fighting against Kirishima and Todoroki. With its back facing her, she leaped forwards off the ice, latching to it's back, swiftly absorbing it's energy. Deactivating her primary quirk, she let her secondary one rein supreme, the beasts limited thrashing doing next to nothing thanks to Todoroki encasing it's entire lower half and arm in ice.
Five seconds had past and it's thrashing ceased, it's body shutting down as it went limp in the ice, allowing the girl to easily jump off. Tossing her gaze to the side she watched as Endevour grabbed a Nomu by the brains and completely torched it, everything above its hips completely unrecognizable when he was finished.
Hawks had also taken down one of the flying ones, slashing its brain so much that what remained was mush. It hit the ground hard, snapping a wing as the number two hero landed and gazed over the body with disgust.
Without warning, both monsters sprung back up, scaring the two heroes as they backed up quickly and dodged an attack.
"What the fuck?!"
"Aw man!"
"Y/N." She glanced behind her to see and feel Todoroki place a cold hand on her shoulder. "What's happening?" He asked calmly, making the girl toss a glare to the villain behind all of this.
"His quirk is necromancy, meaning each time these things die, he'll make them come back and keep fighting over and over." She looked over to Todoroki again, who nodded, his expression twisting into anger.
"We need to stop him."
