"Just your trust in me is enough"
When I caught a glimpse of her eyes, it was as though I were looking into a galaxy filled with constellations. They sparkled with more than pure solace.
It was beautiful. I felt my heart thump harder and faster when I gazed into her wonder-filled orbs as they glistened right before me.
I watched as her hair flowed majestically at the sight of her beginning to walk past us. The sound of her shoes as they echoed in the corridor after every step sent a frenzy of emotions through my body.
The scent that I caught as the gust of wind blew towards us when she made her way past. A scent intoxicating enough to send butterflies to my stomach and make my entire body dissolve from the inside.
I was mesmerised. I spaced out for a while just at the afterthought of the earnestness in her smile.
"...ung?.... Hyung?"
?!
"Ah. Jungkookie. Mianhae. I just blanked out for a bit" I said as I patted his shoulder and walked ahead with my cheeks slightly flushed with light pink. I couldn't stop thinking about her.
While walking, I heard Jungkook chuckled under his breath and slowly jog to catch up with me as we both headed to the cafeteria to get hamburgers before they run out.
Once we had gotten our lunch, we joined a table where the hyungs and Jimin were seated.
"What took you guys so long?" Jimin asked while chewing on a fry. Jungkook answered him as he sat down.
"Mianhae, it's my fault. I asked V-Hyung to help me with some supplies." He said as he scooted in to make room for me to sit.
"Shouldn't your classmates have helped you though?" Hobi-Hyung asked. Jungkook simply gave him puppy eyes. Whenever he would ask for help, only female classmates would volunteer and our little Jungkookie didn't like being alone with girls. He was really shy and uncomfortable with that.
"Oh, we ran into y/n noona too." He said as I slowly glanced up to see the guys looking at us, waiting for Jungkook to finish but all he did was sip on his banana milk.
"What do you mean?" Namjoon asked. "Did you guys talk?" The look of concern and worry was slightly evident in their eyes. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try and convince them that the rumours are false.
"Yeah." Jungkook said indifferently between his sip. "We spoke about the rumours going around." He momentarily paused to continue sipping on his banana milk again when Hobi spoke up.
"The ones about her sleeping around?" Jungkook nodded while still sipping his milk and was about to answer.
I couldn't understand why but hearing those words again really upset me. It felt like bullets being shot indirectly at me even though they're just words.
"What about her father. Did you ask about that?" Namjoon asked. Jungkook just swallowed his last sip and was about to answer, however, I just got really upset. Not with them but with the situation.
"She didn't do it!" I blurted out, sounding a bit irritated. They looked at me confused as I kept my gaze fixed in my lunch. Jungkook then explained what had happened moments earlier while the guys would involuntarily share nods to let him know that they're still listening.
"So that means she's innocent, right?" Hobi asked as Jungkook nodded and I continued eating my burger. Namjoon then added on to the conversation. "Ahreum is the one that started this. I can't believe she would make something like this up."
Jimin looked at us, finally speaking up. "Maybe her words have some credibility. We should give them both the benefit of the doubt. She is the school sponsor's daughter."
These words broke my heart. I didn't want to say anything more but it hurt to know that Jimin was still doubting y/n. Especially since the other party was Ahreum. Another part of me thought that he was just being a fair person. We have only known y/n for like two weeks.
The table went quiet as we all continued eating our lunches, however, what was on everyone's mind was obvious. Minutes of loud silence later the conversation picked up again. Trivial things like seesaw games and love for just dancing.
The next period started and this time it was a PE class. Jimin and I changed into our gym clothes and headed outside to join our classmates waiting for the torture to start. Our PE teacher was Mr. Park. I think his first name was Chanyeol? We don't know much about him. It's as though he isn't really under Mr. Bang's authority, to begin with, but he's great for a workout.
His training regime was more than intense. It's as though he tries to dehydrate you through sweat. Jungkook said he enjoys it but that guy is a beast and would take Mr. Park down I think.
We were about to start when I noticed y/n walking behind some of the other people joining our class. Wow, she does look good in her gym clothes. I was mesmerised by her angelic beauty as she walked closer and closer towards us.
Her clothes were kind of baggy but if you think about it, it looked cute. Her sleeves reached the middle of her palms as she wore them in moe style and she gently rubbed her one arm with the other.
My attention shifted when I heard laughter behind me. I don't want to turn around but the laughter is coming closer. Aish. Here we go again. Ahreum behind me giggling her life out meant she wants attention. When she got closer, she bumped my shoulder to get my attention.
"Whoops. Sorry" she said with a flirtatious smile and a soft giggle. She stood a few feet in front of me and bent down to tie her shoelace. May I just add that with the skirt she was wearing, she wouldn't even need to bend down for it to be 'revealing'.
As always, this made me uncomfortable, so I nudged on Jimin's shoulder and motioned him to come with me. We walked over to y/n standing on the other side of the field.
"Hey y/n. Cute tracksuit." I said to get her attention. It was cute though. It was a white Adidas tracksuit that looked slightly big for her but that made it cuter really.
"Ah. T-Thanks." She said as she looked down and twiddled with her fingers. She did however keep glancing up as though she were looking for someone. I just tried to keep the conversation going since she continued giving me one-word answers that would usually end it.
This time it wasn't her answer but Mr. Park that ended our conversation. He came running in with his whistle in his mouth blowing loudly so we can hear it from the other side of the field.
Turns out we're playing soccer today. As a warm-up, he told us to stretch and do 20 laps around the field. This was nothing compared to our usual classes. One time he made us do burpees for 20 minutes straight as a warm-up. This guy is seriously no joke.
My eyes kept wandering over to y/n though. She must not be very flexible. Her arms aren't stretching very much and are pretty bent most of the time.
With stretches over, we started doing our laps. I was happy with this since I'm a fast runner, Jimin can barely keep up with me so I need to slow my pace down for him. However, there was always that one person that tried to catch up and grip everyone's attention. Can you guess who?
She always runs in such a flirtatious way to make her chest bounce and get everyone's attention. Never really worked on Jimin and I thought since we never cared.
On our third lap or so, I heard someone trip. When I looked back I saw that it was y/n. She got back up and dusted her clothes off. I slowed down my pace, even more, to let her catch up with me.
"Hey, you good?" I asked when she finally reached my side. She nodded her head.
"You can go on. You don't have to slow down for me." She said as I looked at her with an 'are you sure' face and she nodded. I sped up, catching up with the mochi up in front.
A few laps later I heard her fall again. I was going to slow my pace down when I looked back and saw her white tracksuit sleeves start to go red. At that point, I turned around completely and bolted up to her.
