Before I wanna start I wanna crash out about the Furfur drama because there's an update and I'm so fucking done.

So for those who don't know, I included a half cyborg version of Furfur in my group animation project because we all had the opportunities to design characters. Furfur was accepted as one of them.

Anyways I'm working yesterday and just so happen to glance over at a girl in our group who's not only been bullying my friend and calling him names (which needs to be addressed more bc it's absolutely fucked up), but also went behind the group's back and got a voice acted part for our film despite the group agreeing we didn't want that. Already two big warning bells in my head.

But then I see this. Now, I'm gonna put the og image next to it so yall can compare because this genuinely makes me mad.

The og (mine) is obviously first.

And eyeballing colors isn't even an excuse because every other color, including other characters, is accurate. Meaning she HAD TO have looked at the references and actively had to have CHOSEN to whitewash Furfur.

Now this next part is why I blame myself for this tbh. Because instead of immediately confronting her because I'm a pussy who is scared of confronting people, I made an announcement to the whole group about using color palettes. She fucking goes "too late". Girl WHAT. We have ALL OUR ART CLASSES OFF for the next week to work on this project. Are we deadass. So today my teacher gave our group a reminder to use color palettes for consistency and a crash course in easily changing colors (because yall the program we use makes it so that you can fix a color once and it fixes it across EVERY FRAME). I look over after. Still nothing. This is when I take the photo and am getting upset. I'm talking with my friend, a couple other people get in on it, and I tell people that I'll talk to her tomorrow to give me time to collect myself. I tell multiple people they don't need to do it, I'll do it. Someone talks to her anyways and later posts a message to the gc saying we need to do a better job at talking with the girl and including her in discussions, and that she didn't know. They said they weren't blaming anyone but it felt a bit accusatory towards me for not talking to her dead on. Hence why I feel like it might be my fault.

Now here's where it gets tricky: the girl who's doing all this isn't from the US. She's a transfer student from Russia and doesn't speak much English. So a lot of people give her some grace because she has some issues with English. But mind you:

Number one. SHE HAS BEEN SAYING MEAN THINGS ABOUT MY FRIEND THE WHOLE YEAR. IN ENGLISH.

Number two. She went behind the whole group's back to get her part voice acted despite the group agreeing we only want music and sound effects. And the script SHE HERSELF WROTE? IN ENGLISH.

And finally number three: She whitewashed a character despite clearly having looked at the reference, because otherwise how would she have known ALL THE OTHER COLORS? On top of that, the person who talked to her argued that she didn't know. That argument is fucked no matter how you look at it:

A: she didn't know you can't whitewash a character. What.

B: she didn't know there were color palettes. Already debunked because she's been color accurate for literally everything else.

And yet people are accusing some of us (INCLUDING my friend who legitimately can't talk to her bc of her bullying) of not conversing enough when she's the one doing shit without telling us. Are we so fr 💔

Ok I think that's the full story I'm so sorry for yapping so long, I assume most of yall just skipped the crashout anyways (don't lie I KNOW some of yall did)

Actually can I ask something of you guys? It's completely optional but it would mean a lot.

Remember how I mentioned the friend who got bullied? He's been going through a lot and isn't doing well mentally. He's had to put up with so much and very few people actually listen to him. Like, a lot of people genuinely disregarded the fact that the girl was bullying him. It's awful and I'm doing what I can to help him.

But I was wondering if yall would take a few minutes to even just sketch his favorite oc? I'll post the character sheet below. The character's name is Randall and he's unhinged. It would really mean a lot to me to be able to show him that some people went out of their way to cheer him up.

I don't think cookie finch will be canon to the plot line I've developed (I have a notes app document of every individual beast yeast stage and the summary of the lore for each episode) but that's an option now I guess

So onto the official concept/intro art of Owl Butter

Anyways that took be four hours which I'm surprised about

This was also before I fixed his talons to be zygodactyl like an owl's so whooops I ain't fixin that

His backstory is essentially, he was a beast cookie along with the actual ones (SMC, MF, SS, BS, and ES, also why are two of their initials so funny). Around the time everything started going downhill (aka all of them going insane) was when his sense of justice became twisted. Anyone who harmed his friends he deemed a threat and ended up resorting to murder. It spiraled out of control and resulted in the deaths of all of his friends. Appalled by what he'd done, Owl Butter forfeited his soul jam, locking it away. He disappeared right before the rest of the beast cookies were sealed in the tree. From that point until present day Beast Yeast, Owl Butter spent all of his time building his shoya house, a beautiful, large building with a garden in the center including a memorial for his lost friends. The reason the house is so large? It's not because he likes lavish, grand homes, but to remind him of his loneliness as a result of letting himself get lost in his rage.  He also went on to disguise himself as Owl Blossom cookie. He pretends to be the caretaker of Owl Butter's home, not that anyone ever visits considering his home is in the clearing at the center of a very dangerous forest. Until now, as the ancient cookies need help facing the beast cookies in a final showdown...

In hindsight the color of his soul jam is a little close to Golden cheese's but in my defense there are NO options. Red? Burning spice. Orange/yellow? Golden cheese. Green? White lily. Blue? Pure vanilla and shadow milk. Purple? Dark cacao. Pink? Hollyberry. Beige? Mystic flour.

Though I could always try cyan ig
