I thought I had like BARELY enough to make half a chapter but lo and behind I found two sketchbook pages of child Derrick that I'd forgotten about

Also six hour dnd session tomorrow me and our bard are bringing SO MUCH FOOD

Here's lil Derrick when he ran away from the cult and proceeded to live on the street for the next five years or so :(

Then he landed a job as a blacksmiths apprentice for the next five or six years so yay he's employed

18 year old Derrick, still not as rugged and cowboy-y but starting to think about crafting his own gun and stuff

Then there's 28 year old Derrick who gets paid to kill people yay

Also I finally made his jacket longer it wasn't dramatic enough when it was short

This is exactly how he first showed up in session one btw. First thing he did was aura farm I shit you not. Dm had me GRINNING when he gave this paragraph description (and immediately pointed out the ONLY thing I wanted to hear kept secret but heyyy nobody remembers that)

So fun fact I have actually been wearing a cowboy hat during sessions and it has made me realize how expressive a fucking HAT can be. Started practicing drawing a little with that in mind

Oh this is a good time to mention- Derrick (and Alan) has silver blood. I was unaware of this until I asked my dm what he wanted Derrick's blood to look like after looking it up and finding Aasimar blood caries.

So Derrick is incredibly fucked the second he gets injured bc humans don't have silver blood. I've decided in advance he will be lying through his teeth and claiming to be a werewolf if absolutely necessary.

Also! Derrick hates the color silver too. Because that was the color that was everywhere when Alan was sacrificed.

Sure does suck given there's a silver dragonborne in the party.
