Will gets experimented on so frequently for being a silly goose that he's completely rendered mute and refuses to let anyone heal his injuries (because Marzy is typically the doctor of the group). Even Zeeb can't help him and eventually his wounds start getting REALLY gross and infected and infested by maggots (maggot mention !!)

His name is Derrick! He's the DND character I've created for my new school's DND club. I've also been testing him out in my best friend's mini campaign.

When Derrick was little, his brother Alan was sacrificed by a cult, but ended up ascending and becoming a god. Derrick was his loyal follower and did everything asked of him, as unethical as it may have gotten.  This started to corrupt Derrick both emotionally/mentally and physically. Because he's the first "sinner" of Alan's religion, technically, he slowly becomes the devil himself. (I'm still working this out trust) So basically he goes from human to tiefling. Ultimately the choice he's gonna have to make is between his party and his brother, but it's not even really his brother anymore. Alan died at that altar all those years ago. Ascension changes a person. And by the time Derrick understands that, he can't even recognize himself anymore.
