Kassidy POV
Killian and I sat at our normal table for lunch. "I'm surprised you haven't ditched me to to sit with Dylan." Killian said. "As long as Emma sits at that table, you won't find me at it." I said. "I can't promise to behave myself." "I wouldn't ask you too." Killian smirked. I went to say something before Liam walked over to the table. "You two, come with me." He said. "Whats up?" Killian asked. "Now." Liam said using his teacher voice. Killian and I stood up and followed him to his classroom. Liam shut the door and paced holding the bridge of his nose. "Seriously Liam..what is wrong?" I asked. "You bloody know whats wrong Kassi. Tell me the truth where were you two last night?" "We told you, we were running the block." Killian said and rolled his eyes. "So, I'm to believe that you two didn't vandalize Golds car?" Liam asked and looked at me. Damnit Liam..
Liam knew that all he had to do was give me one look and I would cave. So as if it helped at all, I looked at the floor which instantly sealed our fate. He knew. "Damnit!" Liam hissed. "You realize he's thinking about getting the police involved." "Over Window chalk and silly string?!" I squeaked. "Really??" "Its cool, Sean will get us out of trouble, he always does." Killian said. He was right, my Dad always managed to get us out of any legal trouble. "Sean shouldn't bloody have to! What reason did you have to do this?" "Golds a prick." I shrugged.
Liam sighed heavily and pinched the bridge of his nose again. "You two are going to turn yourselves in." "What?!" Killian and I yelled at the same time."And you'll pay to have his car cleaned." Liam added. Killian and I both groaned. "Come on Liam, really?" Killian asked. "Aye. He already knows you did it. He's agreed to drop charges, If you admit it, of course you'll likely have saturday school for the next month." "So if you already knew Why did you drag us in here?" I asked. "I was hoping to scare you, but that is no easy task apparently. Every Time you do something to get yourself in trouble, It falls back on me." Liam said glaring at Killian. "I get in trouble to." "I didn't know.. Liam I'm sorry." Killian said averting his eyes. "No, I suppose you didn't. You don't care about anything but yourself." I saw Killian flinch at Liam's words. I knew Liam was just upset and he didn't mean to say what he did, but Killian always took it hard when Liam got this way. "Liam come on..thats not fair." I said. "You can go now Kassi." Liam said and pointed to the door. I put my hand on Killians upper arm. "I'll see you after school Kil." I said. "Yeah. See you." He replied and looked away. I shot Liam a quick glare before I left the room.

After a miserable day at school, including confession our crimes to Gold, earning a month of Saturday detention, Killian and I met at our spot at the flagpole. "How are you doing?" I asked. "Fine." Killian shrugged but I knew he wasn't. "You know Liam didn't mean it. You know how he gets." I said. "Yeah, I know. Doesn't make it hurt any less." He sighed. "He tries Killian. We are assholes. I didn't realize he was getting in trouble too, so maybe we calm down a little bit?" "Only a little?" Killian smirked. "Only a little." I agreed. Dylan walked up and wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "Hey, we're about to go to Granny's. You in?" He asked. "Oh, I don'-" "Jones. You in?" Dylan asked. I looked at Dylan confused, impressed that he was being nice, but confused." Killian looked at me, and then looked at Dylan. "You know what? Sure." "Are you both sick?" I asked with a laugh. "Maybe we've just come to an agreement. Right Jones?" Dylan asked. Killian gave Dylan a quick nod, but I noticed the muscle in his jaw twitch, and the way he grinded his teeth when he said. "Yeah. Right."

Killian POV
We had to push a couple of tables together but we all sat together at Granny's I had never really been invited to spend time with the football jerks, nor did I care, but I could tell Kassi wanted to go and I didn't trust Humbert one bit. Everything was fine, we were eating, they were not being complete assholes to me and Kassi seemed to be having a good time so it was okay with me, until she walked in. Swan
She strolled over to the table and squeezed in next to Neal and winked at me from across the table. "Hey Killy, how you doing?" She asked. I hated being called Killy. I hated, her. "Swan.." I muttered. Kassidy put her hand on my forearm. "We can go." She whispered. "No. Kass, its fine." I whispered back. "So, how have things been? I liked the work you did on Golds car." Emma smirked. "Things are good." I shrugged and narrowed my eyes at her. "Never been better." Emma returned my look. "You seeing anyone?" She asked. "No." I replied. "But I've heard you've seen a lot of people." "Hey! Watch it Jones." Neal snarled at me. "Maybe Emma should watch it." Kassidy suggested. Emma turned her green eyed glare to Kassidy. "You care an awful lot about him. I'd watch out Dylan, seems like she may be playing you."
Emma shrugged.
"Oh you would know all about that now wouldn't you Swan?" I asked. "Hey man I told you to watch it!" Neal said. I stood up. "Yeah how about you make me mate?" I asked. "Killian!" Kassidy hissed and tried to pull me back down into my chair. "No, its good. I'm leaving." I scoffed. "Killian wait." Kassidy said. "No, Kass if these are the people you want to hang out with, cool but you can hang out with them without me." I said and walked out of the diner.

Kassidy POV
Dylan and I walked towards my house as the sun was setting. "So you coming to my game next week?" Dylan asked. "Yeah of course!" I smiled. "I wouldn't miss it." "Not even for Jones?" Dylan asked. I raised an eyebrow. "What does Killian have to do with this?" I asked. "You tell me, I saw you practically holding hands with him at the diner and you've checked your phone at least 6 times since I started walking you home." "He was upset Dylan, I'm trying to make sure he's okay." I said. "You cheating on me Kass?" Dylan asked. "What? No." I said.
Dylan pushed me into the side of a brick building hard enough I knew it would leave a bruise on my back. "Ow! Dylan!' I cried. "Don't fucking lie to me Kass. Is Emma right? Are you playing me??" He demanded. "No! Dylan I'm not! Stop. you are hurting me." I pleaded with him. "I don't want you around him. Got it?" Dylan demanded. "Dylan he's my best friend!" and I didn't even have time to flinch or think before I felt a sharp sting on my cheek. It took me a couple of seconds to realize what had happened. He slapped me My eyes welled up with tears. "Dylan why?" I asked. He grabbed my shoulders holding me to the wall, the bricks dug into my back. "I mean it I don't want you anywhere near him you understand?" "I.. Dylan..he.. I.." I stammered. He shook me. "Answer me!" He said. "Okay! Okay! I understand please! Just stop!" I cried. He let go of me and backed away. "Don't let me catch you around Jones again." He warned before walking away from me. I held the side of my face and started bawling as I made my way home. Why was I letting him do this to me?

Killian POV
The next day at school I waited for Kassidy at our normal spot. She hadn't answered my texts all night so I was a little worried. I saw her walking up to the school. Usually she didn't give a damn about makeup, but she had really caked it on today. Probably to impress Dylan. I thought she was beautiful without it. She glanced at me, and quickly walked away. That was odd. I followed her. "Kass.. hey wait!" I said but she kept walking. "Hey what the hell?" I asked and caught her wrist. She turned but she wouldn't look at me. "I.. I can't." She said. "I..have to g..go" She stammered. "Kassi what's wrong with you?" I asked. "Nothing Killian!" She snapped and pulled her arm away from me. "Just.. leave me alone.. I can't.. Hang out." She said. "Fine, okay. I'll see you later." "No.. just leave me alone." She repeated and walked away. What the hell had happened to my best friend? Because that girl..was not her.
