It was three hours flight and finally they were back in Mumbai. When they exited outside the airport his Mercedes Benz was already waiting for him with a driver.

Radhika chirped, " You are quite rich."

He shook his head," Oh baby you haven't seen anything still. You'll be in awe of my place once we reach there."

She spoke," Arjun think again. You can keep me somewhere else. Why break their heart?!"

He intertwined his hand with hers," No I won't because I am not a coward. I didn't do something wrong then why I should hide."

But the cameras flashing on them popped their eyes out. Radhika who had not been around so many people ever in her life was chilled to the bone. She snugged closer to Arjun hiding her face in the crook of his neck. Arjun wrapped an arm around her protectively.

"Sir who is she?!"

"Are you both married?!

" What about Aisha Diwan?! Weren't you guys in a relationship for a long time?!

"Did you kept your marriage under wrap because you wanted to make a career?!"

"No comments." He spoke impassively.

"Is she one of your flings?! Is she a hooker?!"

That's it. He saw red. He punched that journalist hard in his gut and roared," You should be ashamed of yourself. Only because of assholes like you the whole man race is tainted. As for all your questions. She is my wife and rest I don't think you have any right to know."

Radhika gasped in shock. She detached her head from his chest to look at his face. His face was red with merciless rage. He was breathing rapidly in anger. He had his hands balled in fist and nostrils flared.

His bodyguards pushed the media away from them and escorted them to his car. He pushed her inside," Get in fast Radhika. We don't have one full day."

She sulked. Why can't he be polite?! She thought.

He got in next to her and instructed the driver to start the car.

"Why did you do that Arjun?! You could have told them I am your friend." She spoke in a sad tone

"Are you nuts?! You have all the wedding signs on your body and you were crushing your body into mine. They aren't fools, Radhika. They had anyway guessed it." He scoffed at her.

He was sure going to kill someone soon if she didn't kept her mouth shut.

"Oh God I can't imagine what Aisha will go through after watching this all over the news." She spoke with pure concern in her eyes. She hid her face in her hands and cried over her fate.

"I am worried about her but more than that I am scared of Mom's reaction." He replied back.

"Sir we reached." His driver interrupted.

For the first time in his life he was scared to look in his mother's eyes fearlessly. His hands were shaking with fear so he shoved them in his pant pockets. His heart was hammering in his chest as his brain  engulfed with the fear of losing his loved ones who meant the world to him. He was a heartless remorseless shrewd businessman but he had a heart for his family.

Radhika assured," Arjun I am sure they'll forgive you after hearing your side of story."

Arjun gulped," I hope they do. I can't imagine my life without them."

She touched his cheek with her soft hands," I know and I am sure they feel the same about you."

His blood heated up feeling her soft delicate touch on his jaw stubble. He looked at her with a mix of fear, nervousness and anxiety," Tell me everything is going to be fine."

She shook her head and smiled," No it is going to better than just fine."

He pulled his hand out and forwarded it for her. She placed her hand on his staring at him without a blink. She knew how difficult it was for him but he wasn't a heap of dust to crumble up with a blow of wind. She admired him for his strength and confidence without realizing she was unknowingly feeling something for him.

His mom opened the door and he swear he felt a shiver run down his spine.

"Oh you really don't have any shame. After putting our family's respect at stake and almost crushing it down to earth's crust, You have the guts to come here." She spoke in a hurt accusatory tone. Her eyes filled with tears of pain of the betrayal by the one she loved most.

"Mom I can explain. Please just hear me out once...." He pleaded.

He had never pleaded before anyone but this was his mom. He could lay down his whole world at her feet if she asked.

"I don't want to listen to anything. JUST LEAVE!!" She spoke in a high pitched fury filled tone.

"Mom please I had no choice. Why can't we sit and talk it out?!" He urged.

"Because there is nothing left to talk. You showed us our place today in your life. You married someone, I don't know who without my blessings. I guess you don't even need them. Fine if you don't need us then even we don't want you in our life." Hot angry tears peaked out of her eyes as she felt like her own heart was pulled out of her chest with her own hands.

"Mom please don't do this." Ananya cried and tried to reach her brother but his mom blocked her path.

"No Ananya. He has his new wife now. He doesn't need us anymore." His mom angrily clenched the words between her teeth.

Arjun breathed out the words,"Let's go Radhika. " his heart shrunk but he gulped his pain and tears down his throat.

Radhika shook her head and turned to his mom and folded her hands and spoke earnestly," Aunty Ji I belong to a small village of Uttarakhand and I haven't ever been to big metropolitan cities rather I haven't stepped out of my hometown but I know one thing that a mother's love is same all over the world. She can never turn her back to her children. She can fight the world to be with her children then why are you leaving your son for a nobody?! Yes I am a nobody in Arjun's life but you are his everything. Every beat of his heart takes your name. You know when you asked him to choose between you and Aisha. Though he was very confused still he knew that it will always be you. I ran away from my own wedding because my parents had fixed my marriage and I wasn't happy with it. I had dreams like any other girl and I was just trying to save myself. For Arjun's bad luck I fell in front of his car and he offered me a lift because he thought it wouldn't be right to leave me all alone there. My parents found us and they misunderstood that he is the one for whom I eloped from my own wedding. We wanted to tell them the truth rather I wanted to confess to save Arjun. But my mother said that I was a curse to my family and they wished they could just get rid of me. I couldn't think anything, do anything. I was so scared. But its my fault not his. This is not what he wanted. He never wanted to hurt you. He would kill himself before that. It's just that everything happened so fast that we couldn't handle the situation. Don't punish him for my mistake. If you want I'll go away and I will never come back here but please don't make me do a sin of separating a mother from her son."

Her true tears that pooled in her brown innocent eyes which had so much of emotion in them melted the mother's heart like butter. Avantika was a very talented brainy woman who was psychologist before giving up her career for her family. She could read eyes like piece of cake and all she saw in Radhika's eyes was pure undiluted honesty and concern for her son.

She took slow strides towards her and lifted her hand but Radhika felt she was going to smack her, to her surprise she touched her cheek gently," I am fond of people who speak truth and only the truth. I think it was all destined to happen and we have no control over destiny. And about leaving my son then do you know anyone in Mumbai?! "

Radhika shook her head, " No Aunty Ji. None I can think of at the moment."

Avantika glared at her fiercely," Are you mad?! You are in Mumbai not some Haridwar. Did you think about where you will live?! what you will eat?! Most importantly your safety."

Radhika's eyes welled up, " I just didn't wanted a son to part from his mother."

Avantika cupped her face and spoke in a soft tone,"You have a very good heart along with a beautiful face. And you know this is a dangerous combination. You aren't like those calculating, selfish gold diggers who are just behind my son's money. You shouldn't be left on your own and you thought about my feelings without thinking about yourself. I like you."

Radhika fluttered her eyelashes, "Oh I like you too. You are deadly gorgeous and my college mates use to say they haven't seen any girl as beautiful as me. I should send them your address. They'll know what it feels like to see the eighth wonder of the wonder."

Avantika burst into spits of laughter and pulled her ear," You are naughty but cute."

She pecked her forehead," It takes a life to trust someone but I am trusting you in a minute. Because I can see through your eyes that you are perfect for my son. You can call me Mom and I accept you as a part of my family."

She continued,"So welcome to the Mehra clan."

Radhika naughtily replied,"Are you people werewolves or vampires in human form?!"

Avantika hit her head lightly, "You are just too much."

Radhika licked her lips," No mom I am three much."

Avantika wrapped her arm around her and opened her other arm for Arjun. He sprinted towards his mom and hugged her tightly like his life dependent on it. She felt wetness on her shoulder. She could make out those were the unshed tears of her son which were streaming down.

Avantika stared at him with so much of affection and unfathomable love, " Arjun its OK. I have forgiven you and there are no hard feelings until you don't see that bitch again. I hope I have made myself very clear."

She didn't wait for his response and dragged them inside the house. It was indeed a billion dollar house. Ananya was jumping with joy as if it was her 18th birthday. She was so excited about having a sister in law. The concept really wooed the young teenager's heart. She could tell her own secrets and discuss all girly things.

Radhika was astonished by the beauty of the house. It was spellbinding and so heavenly. It felt like Nirvana. The interiors were so intriguing and she was just in awe of the eternal beauty of his house.

"Radhika you must haven't eaten anything right?!" Avantika asked out of concern.

"Mom I am your son. You didn't even ask me how was the flight?! I ate something or not." Arjun spoke in a jealous tone.

"So?! She is my daughter now and why would I ask you, how was the flight when you are standing in one piece in front of me." His mom spoke in a no nonsense tone.

"Come Radhika. Let this jealous man sulk here. You know I have made chole  bhature today. It's Ananya's favourite but since Arjun hates oily calorie containing food so we don't make it usually." His mom spoke enthusiastically.

"Mom you just stole my heart. Even I love chole bhature." Radhika spoke with a dreamy expression on her face.

She taunted," As for those people who are so worried about their oh so precious six pack abs they don't know that they are missing out on real fun. Food is life and life is food. Right Mom?!"

Avantika affirmed," Absolutely sweetheart. "

Arjun warned,"Radhika, listen you don't mess with me."

"Hey don't threaten my daughter in law or else you'll have it from me." His mom scolded him as if he was a five year old kid.

Radhika showed him her pink tongue teasing him.

"Mom this is not fair. She started it."Arjun chided.

" No matter who started it. I'll finish it." His mom stared at both of them warningly.

"Are you both going to stand there like statue of liberty?! Aren't you hungry?!" His mom looked up at both of them while setting the dinner table.

Radhika ran like a cheetah and took the chair beside Avantika, " I'll sit beside mom. "

Arjun glared at her," Get up now. This is my place. Only I sit beside my mom."

"She is my mom too. I want to sit beside her and you have sat here whole life. If you lend me your place for one day then you won't get grey hair." Radhika replied stubbornly.

"Its OK kiddos no need to fight. Arjun common don't break her heart. Is that what I taught you?! Fight for a chair that too with a girl?!" Avantika asked teasingly.

"Mom but..."

"Sit down at once Arjun. Can't I have some peace while we dine?!" His mom spoke in a fake angry tone.

Arjun huffed in anger and took a seat beside Ananya who was giggling all while witnessing the banter between her brother and sister in law.

"Stop laughing Anu. You'll choke on your food."Arjun scolded.

Ananya answered chewing the food, "ItsjustthatIlikebhabhisomuch."

"What?!" He exclaimed. He couldn't understand a word she spoke.

She swallowed her food and spoke, " I meant I like bhabhi so much. She is just awesome. "

Radhika fluttered her eyelashes, " Thank you baby. I know I am just too cute to resist. What this world would have done without me?!" She spoke in a dramatic tone.

"World would have had so much of peace without you." Arjun stated as he shoved the spoon full of brown rice in his mouth.

Radhika complained,"Mom see naa he is troubling me."

Arjun cringed," Look who is talking!! She is the one getting on my nerves and now she puts all the blame on me."

Avantika couldn't control her giggles anymore, " oh you two.....You are fighting like kindergarten kids. You two are just made for each other."

Arjun shook his head, " No never. She is so irritating."

Radhika narrowed her eyes at him," Then what are you?! You are no saint. Do you want me to tell mom how you entered my room when I was just in to...." She then understood what she was about to say. She pressed her palm over her mouth and her gaze dropped down in embarrassment.

Avantika's lips twitched into a mischievous smile," Radhika honey did you mean towel?!"

Radhika's cheeks flushed and she hide her face in her tiny small hands. She wished the ground swallows her today.

"Radhika its OK. No need to feel shy. He is your husband. It happens." Avantika rubbed her arm.

Arjun couldn't shift his gaze away from Radhika. He wanted to strangle the chit out of that girl for speaking about that awkward encounter in front of his mom. But then this girl had a big motor mouth which he was getting used to slowly and unknowingly.
