"Who knew we'd be cleaning out your grandmothers old attic again Taehyun!" Huening Kai exclaimed loudly, lifting up boxes and stacking them on each other as Taehyun walked around the very dusty attic, slightly annoyed. "Who knew this whole time while she lived at Yuri's, she didn't even sell her house at all!"

"She's an idiot for doing that," Taehyun replied, crouching down as he picked up some really...dusty old things on the floor. "I don't know how she didn't get caught or what her bills look like."

Taehyun sighed and closed up the box, looking around the room he slowly felt a sense of deja vu rush through him as he and Huening Kai were packing up the last remaining things inside of the attic. Just a few hours ago his grandmother contacted both him and Huening Kai to help her clean out her attic for good, he was shocked to hear that she didn't even sell the house and that after long months the things that were still in the attic were not touched at all...He swears some things appeared out of no where though.

"I thought we cleaned this whole place out back in November?" Huening Kai huffed, lifting up his sleeves as he wiped his forehead from how humid it was in the attic.

"I guess after we found the spell book we got too excited and forgot about this place, my grandmother didn't even remember she had this house still until her landlord called her asking why she was behind on bills." Taehyun said, shaking his head when his grandmother told him all of that silly stuff.

"Ahh! The spell book, doesn't it feel...Weird? Being in the same room where you had found the book that changed your entire life just 8 months ago!" Huening Kai said, appearing behind Taehyun out of no where as he shook the males shoulders excitedly.

The ravenette scoffed teasingly and swatted the males hands away from him. It did feel weird, being in the same room where he had found the book that changed the course of his life forever, it was such a distant fond memory it made his heart ache.

"Eight months ago, I was obsessed with making Yeojin mine, doing whatever it would take to just have her in my arms," Taehyun said, walking away from Huening Kai as he approached the spot where two of them found the book, finding it all dusty and bare. "Now fast forward those eight months, I'm now dating someone who isn't Yeojin, that someone who I consider my soulmate and my life." He said smiling, touching the necklace that hung on his neck.

"If you were still the same old selfish you eight months ago, I'm sure you'd be furious that you didn't get to marry Yeojin!" Huening Kai teased, walking away from Taehyun to go put more stuff in the boxes.

"I'm glad I moved on from Yeojin, she was beautiful indeed...But I can't imagine myself having a future with her." Taehyun said, his tone wavering as his face scrunched up slightly, as if he were remembering all of the wrongs he did, feeling very disappointed in himself.

Huening Kai took notice of the males sudden mood change, with a wide smile he dropped the box he was carrying, not caring about the faint shatter noise that happened as he approached the male. "Taehyun, you were selfish, you used the spell book for your own greed because nobody told you about the consequences you'd face. Even though you were selfish, you grew. You finally stopped using it for greed, you stopped using it on others for selfish purposes, and now that you finally understand the consequences, you found happiness."

"Even if meeting Beomgyu was a huge accident, wouldn't you say...?"

"It was the best accident of my life." Taehyun breathed out, feeling much better by the comfort Huening Kai had given him. Patting his best friends shoulder gently he pulled the male into a tight hug. "Thank you for staying with me, throughout everything."

Huening Kai nodded and hummed, letting go of Taehyun the male went back over to the boxes to finish up. "By the way, I haven't seen you use the spell book in a while, are you officially done using it? Or planning to cast a spell on a molang and make it come to life again?"

Taehyun shuttered at the thought of fishing out Huening Kai from the inside of a live molang again. "Fuck no! Let's never recreate that incident again, you know how horrifying it was to get swallowed by a molang and then explode it's stomach?!"

Taehyun and Huening Kai both stayed silent after he had said that, staring at each other for a few minutes the two suddenly burst into loud laughter thinking about how a round two of molang paradise would go.

"It was hilarious though, do you remember Beomgyu's reaction? I swear...Soobin told me he was so close to shoving him inside of molang's mouth because of how annoying he was when you got eaten!" Huening Kai laughed loudly, slapping Taehyun's shoulder as he did.

Taehyun smiled widely, shaking his head. It was only eight months ago where he had accidentally casted that love spell on Beomgyu, eight months ago where his life turned upside down, eight months ago when his life changed with the use of magic. Now here he was, back at the same old attic where he had found the spell book...Not the same person as before.

"Have you seen Yumi on campus at all? It's been a while right?" Huening Kai asked the male, walking away so he could stack boxes up on each other.

"Yumi...?" Taehyun hummed out, thinking hard for a few moments before his face flushed red from the embarrassing memories. "Oh....Her....I haven't seen her at all, I don't even bother to ask."

"It was kinda scary right? Casting a spell on someone only for it to backfire, you had a total stalker on you!"

"I learned my lesson and never did it again..." Taehyun mumbled, scratching his head as he walked over to some weird things on the ground. "I don't even have the balls to face her again, she forgot about me but seriously...That shit was embarrassing."

Huening Kai chuckled at Taehyun's embarrassed reaction, staring at his best friend for a few seconds he continued on packing away things.

The two packed away in comfortable silence, neither of them cared to say a word to break it, having each others presence was enough for them to work on getting stuff away comfortably. It was a bit hard, just the two of them packing away items that were scattered everywhere on the floor, it would've definitely been faster if Beomgyu, Soobin, Yeonjun, Yuri, or anyone showed up! But as always, two of them were workaholics, one was stuck baking all day, and one just didn't show up. Classical Yuri.

Taehyun sighed softly, glancing over at the spot where he had found the spell book, it really did wonders for his life. He always considered it a curse, something so little that brought upon a mass amount of misfortune suddenly turned into a half miracle, he always wonders, what would've been his life if he had never used that love spell? What would his life be like if he had never crashed into Beomgyu, what if he really did manage to cast the love spell on Yeojin?

All of these possibilities ran through his head, the path he had almost taken changed when he involved himself with Beomgyu, and for once...He was glad he didn't go down that path, he's so glad he met the elder accidentally even if it cost him half of his heart.

Furrowing his eyebrows his thoughts immediately went to the spell book, there was no use for it anymore. He was graduating next year and his life right now seemed just perfect, besides using it for little things like teleportation and stuff...The spell book was a slight burden, there were nights where he would sit and stare at the hook as he reminisced about his embarrassing past. A burden so heavy that he would rather lock up the spell book and never ever look at it again, he just wonders...If his grandmother managed to hide it...Make it seem like a regular old book, would he be able to do that?

"Hyuka..." Taehyun spoke up, making the latter look over at him curiously from the sudden call.

"I think...It's time I let go."

Huening Kai's eyes widened from what Taehyun had said, he knew exactly what the male meant by that. It was always a discussion they had once in a while, it shocked him that he chose now to do it. With a wide smile he nodded, completely supporting Taehyun's choice.

"Let's finish up fast then."

"What do you need that required to meet up with me? Or did you miss me too much you couldn't stand being away from me?" Eun-Ji teased, picking up her cup of tea as she stared at Taehyun who was glancing over at her nervously.

The two were currently at the garden she had taken him to long ago, they were currently in the gazebo having a small picnic with just tea, something his grandmother loved doing before gardening for hours on end.

He shouldn't be shocked, his grandmother raised him, she knew when he needed a favor or not, and now was exactly that. If he didn't need anything then he would've done it himself but...He didn't know who else to talk to about this.

"I just wanted to ask you something, If you can help me?" Taehyun asked, dropping two sugar cubes into his tea since he loved it sweet.

His grandmother hummed while raising her eyebrow, gently placing down her cup she smiled as he cupped her hands together, leaning back into her chair. "Does it have something to do with the spell book?"

Taehyun's heart pinged from how spot on his grandmother was on what he needed.

"Uhm...Yes." He cleared his throat, scratching the back of his neck nervously. "I was wondering...Is there any way I can like...Uhm...How to word this...?"

"You want to stop using the spell book, don't you? Turn it into the regular old book you saw and become magic-less again?" His grandmother said, taking the words straight out of his mouth which made him ease more down.

"That's specific, you knew I'd ask you?"

"I noticed when you came to the house to prepare dinner for Beomgyu's father, after you used the spell book you didn't touch it at all, even when his father was giving you a hard time you didn't dare to cast a spell on him to silence his mouth. I figured you'd eventually have no use for it since you've finally made that Beomgyu boy yours, hmm?"

Taehyun sat there very amused by how well his grandmother knew him, and by how observant she was. He didn't even realize that he barely touched the spell book when they had finished cooking, how he didn't even think about casting any spells when the old man had managed to trick him into almost starting a small fight. The spell book was slowly starting to become something in his life he didn't need at all anymore.

"You're right, grandma. Ever since I finally made Beomgyu mine I never had the thought of using the spell book for anything other than small chores. I did use it once to change his fathers mind but that was it, I swore to myself I'd never use it on other people for my advantage...I don't want to be selfish anymore, just thinking about my past mistakes on trying to cast love spells or any other spell on others sends an uncomfortable chill down my spine...I think it's time I finally give up my magic and the book."

His grandmother just smiled at him, listening to every single word he had to say. She completely understood what he meant, the past eight months have been a complete rollercoaster for Taehyun, and now the males life is slowly becoming more calmer and better. She can tell he was way more happier than he was when he had that major crush on Yeojin.

"I'm glad you've made that your decision, I'll tell you how."

Taehyun leaned closer, prepared to pay attention and make sure he didn't miss any detail that she was about to tell him, he finally felt free, he was soon going to give up his magic, he has no use for it anymore now that he found the love of his life.

"Thank you, grandmother."

"I completely understand the whole giving up the spell book thing, but is it reaaalllyyy necessary to do it in my house?" Huening Kai whined, watching Taehyun flipped through the spell book frantically.

"If anything goes wrong like the first time we used it, I won't be killed by Yuri or Beomgyu. Plus we can just clean it up easy straight away!" Taehyun replied, confident in his choice.

After his grandmother told him how to release the spell book from his use, he had spent a few more hours with her at the garden before running back to the apartment, he wished he saw Beomgyu there but he knew the elder had to stay late tonight at the company due to something big that came up, so he decided to head on over to his dearest best friends house! Just like the first time he had opened the spell book, he wanted to be with Huening Kai to finally let go of it.

"Will you miss it? Using magic and all?"

The ravenette hummed softly, thinking about it for a minute. "I will, it's been a big help, but then again I have no use for it anymore...I mean seriously what am I going to do with fifty pages of different spells about fire? Nothing really. This book was just passed down from generation to generation, spells being added by former grandmothers. Maybe they were helpful back then but for right now? Not at all, plus I think it's a good thing, i'm letting go of something that just screams my mistakes I made."

"Ahhhh, I remember it like yesterday, the cute little fire ball that followed you around when you first used the spell book." Huening Kai said, completely accepting how Taehyun felt and allowing him to do whatever with the spell.

The male chuckled softly, his eyes roaming the pages of the book one last time before he flipped all the way to the front where it was just blank. Remembering the way his grandmother told him on how to let go of the spell book he prepared himself mentally before standing up.

Gently placing his hand on the book he glanced over at Huening Kai who gave him a big thumbs up while slowly backing away. Rolling his eyes he shook his head and stared at the book, exhaling softly.

"My dearest magic world, I bid you farewell."

Standing there dumbfounded, nothing had happened. Looking over at Huening Kai he shrugged slightly, just as confused as Taehyun was. There had to be something wrong, correct? He swore his grandmother told him to do exactly this! Perhaps he placed his hand on the wrong-

In an instant, a bright light flashed from the book, causing Taehyun and Huening Kai to cover their eyes as the ravenette's hold on the book had slippped, causing the book to fall to the floor.

Shielding his eyes, the male squinted towards the book, starting to realize that the book was now levitating slowly as that bright white light shined brighter and brighter every passing second.

"Taehyun what did you do?!" Huening Kai called out for the latter, quickly hiding behind the couch as he tried to shield the bright that was in front of them.

Taehyun tried to answer, but the moment he opened his mouth his body began to feel numb, as if all the energy he had for today was slowly leaving his body. Glancing at his arms he noticed the faint mist of gold slowly coming off of them...?

Quickly pulling his arms down from his face, he looked down at his hands, witnessing that beautiful golden mist slowly coming off of his body as a trail of it went towards the floating book, almost as if the spell book was now absorbing the only thing that showed he could use magic.

It's tiring, but it's working. Taehyun thought, his face scrunching up as he felt his legs trembling, nausea slowly hitting him as the golden mist was pulled away from his body faster.

He noticed that the spell book was slightly shaking the more the golden mist went back into it. His eyes widened finally realizing what was about to happen, but just in time he was quickly pulled back behind the couch as Huening Kai yelled out his name, the white light shining brighter and brighter until the two couldn't keep their eyes open anymore, curling into balls to protect themself behind the couch, just incase things go wrong!

BOOM!

. . .

"Taehyun? Are you okay?" Huening Kai spoke up after ten minutes, the loud explosion that echoed out throughout the room was now gone, eerie silence was only around them as he stared at his best friend who was curled into a ball to protect himself.

Taehyun slowly looked up, staring at Huening Kai with wide eyes. "The spell book!" He gasped out and quickly stood up, looking at the spot where the book was once levitating to only find it on the floor, the entire book now changed.

The once beautiful navy blue color of the book was now replaced with a old tacky brown leather binding. The once golden leaf life patterns on the sides were gone, and the title "Book of Spells" was now gone as well. The once near looking white paper was now gone, replaced with the crusty yellow paper. It looked like what it looked like when they had first found the book. Just a normal antique piece of paper with no use at all.

"Did you...? You did it...!" Huening Kai gasped out, jumping over the couch to approach the male who stood there staring down at the book in shock.

"I did..." Taehyun breathed out, bending down to pick up the book. Standing up straight he looked at Huening Kai with pure fascination in his eyes, he had actually manage to get rid of his magic! "I cant believe that worked, when my grandmother told me how to do it...It felt so simple!"

"Test it out! See if she was right!"

Taehyun scoffed teasingly, he knew that his magic was gone, there was no point in testing it out...But it wouldn't hurt to try.

Opening up the book, instead of being greeted by multiple fascinating spells he only saw blank crusty yellow pages. "There's no point..." He mumbled, flipping the pages that were slowly ripping from how much he was moving them.

"Alright, let's see..." He mumbled, extending his hand to test it out. "Whispering flames."

Waiting a few minutes, nothing had happened at all. No flame ball, golden mist, anything magic-like appeared! Hearing Huening Kai gasp loudly the males eyes widened as he tried again, it really did work!

"I have no magic...I have no magic Hyuka!" Taehyun squealed, jumping up and down excitedly as he faced his best friend who was just as equally happy as he was.

"Wait! What are you going to do with the book?" Huening Kai quickly asked, staring at the old book in the males hands. Taehyun's smile instantly died down when the latter had said that, he didn't think it through at all on what he wanted to do. His grandmother hid the book in the attic which kinda meant that she didn't want it at all, and he was pretty sure Yuri didn't want it either.

"I think I'll just give it back to my grandmother, she might know what to do with it." Taehyun nodded, staring at the book in his hands.

Huening Kai gave the male a bright smile, pulling him into a tight hug, causing the male to drop the book onto the floor as he immediately hugged his best friend back.

"Now you can be happier right? There's no more use for it, we can live our life like it was before the spell book now!"

Taehyun smiled widely, feeling fuzzy happiness bloom in his stomach, he couldn't wait to tell Beomgyu about it, see how his life will be like now that he let go of something that reminded him of his past.

"My darling!~" Beomgyu called out excitedly as he walked through the door walking over to Taehyun who was sitting down in the living room, reading one of the books he had in the room.

"Welcome back home hyung!" Taehyun greeted the elder, closing his book and tossed it to the side, getting up from the couch as he ran over towards the elder, practically jumping onto the male.

"Wah!" Beomgyu yelped, dropping all of the stuff in his hands as he wrapped his arms around Taehyun's waist as the younger wrapped his legs around him, as his arms found their way around his neck. "What's the sudden...Burst of excitement? I wasn't gone for that long...Was I?"

"I just missed you, idiot." Taehyun spoke softly, moving his hand onto Beomgyu's cheek, slowly getting lost in the elders eyes before pulling him into a longing kiss full of love, which was accepted back by Beomgyu almost immediately.

"I have news to tell you." Taehyun said after pulling away from the kiss, he would've gone on for longer but the need of air was becoming more urgent.

Beomgyu curiously tilted his head, "Is it good or bad news? I've had enough bad news for the year...No more." He playfully said, gently letting go of the younger so he could stand up properly.

Taehyun chuckled softly, he also was done with bad news for the year. Grabbing onto Beomgyu's hand he led the male over to the couch so they could sit down, he knew Beomgyu was most likely tired after a long day of work so what's better than relaxing on the couch?

"It's good news, I think, whatever news you consider it!"

Beomgyu nodded his head, humming softly as he leaned back into the couch, his hold on Taehyun's waist not lessening at all. "Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be okay, so hit me with it my beautiful darling."

Taehyun coughed loudly from the compliment, his face began to slowly burn red from how flustered he was after Beomgyu had called him beautiful, which the elder took note of, he enjoyed compliments.

"I-I...Uh...Anyways," Taehyun stuttered out, hearing Beomgyu snort loudly from how he made him stutter. Rolling his eyes while he shook his head he turned his head and faced the elder. "Stop laughing or I won't tell you!"

"I'm sorry! Please go on."

Taehyun stayed silent for a few seconds, there wasn't any reason to be nervous. So why did he feel nervous?

"I...I gave up the spell book and my magic. I returned it back to my grandmother."

Beomgyu stared at him silently, his eyes widened with shock at what Taehyun had just said. The elders creepy silence made a terrible scared twisty feeling form in his gut as no answer was given from Beomgyu, he understood it was a shocking thing to say but he didn't know the elder would react like this...What if he wanted him to cast a spell for him?! Oh god...Now Taehyun was started to regret this.

"I'm sorry-"

"Why're you apologizing?" Beomgyu interrupted him before he could apologize any further.

"I thought you were upset, magic is...It's a special thing so I thought you wanted me to like- cast a spell for you- or do anything!" Taehyun rambled, nonsense spewing out of his mouth as Beomgyu slowly started to smile seeing his boyfriend panic over him.

"I'm not mad at all Taehyun, I was just comprehending what I heard." Beomgyu reassured the male to make sure he wouldn't panic any further, grabbing onto the males hand. "I was shocked because you were so protective of the book! You wouldn't let anyone take it or even let it out of your sight, I always thought you'd keep it around but I did notice you started using it less and less."

"I stopped using it because I had no use for it," Taehyun spoke up, moving closer to the elder so that he was practically squished up against him. "After realizing how much I needed you, and how afraid I was of losing you again I never wanted to cast any spells on others, I didn't need a spell book to make someone fall in love with me anymore, I had you. Plus there's no particular use for it currently, I don't even open the damn thing unless I'm too lazy to clean the apartment!"

Beomgyu stared at Taehyun with the purest amount of adoration in his eyes. A sweet smile formed on his lips, bringing the younger closer he practically just dragged the male onto his lap and hugged him tightly, his heart racing so much after what Taehyun had said.

"Well I support your decision no matter what, okay? So don't ever assume I'm mad at you for something you decided on that would help you be happier." Beomgyu said, leaning into the younger so his face was resting on his shoulder. Looking up at Taehyun with the sweetest gaze ever.

"I love you so much." Taehyun mumbled under his breath, loud enough for Beomgyu to hear. "I want to have a future with you, forever."

"You're so sappy I may puke Taehyun!" Beomgyu joked, gagging teasingly which caused the younger to scoff offensively, punching his chest harshly causing Beomgyu to choke out a cough. "I'm sorry! I'm joking!"

Taehyun rolled his eyes and slowly let go of the elder, but his sudden attempt was quickly shut down when Beomgyu flipped them both over, the elder now laying down on the younger causing him to scream out a surprise yet pained yelp from the sudden pressure on his chest.

"Get off of me you damn bear! You're heavy!" Taehyun whined loudly, trying to push Beomgyu off who was just attacking his neck with kisses.

"You're just so cuddly my love! I can't wait to marry you in the future."

Taehyun's heart skipped a beat when the elder had said that, the idea of marriage with Beomgyu wasn't always something that was on his mind. But now thinking about it, having a future with him, it all felt so...Fuzzy, something that he was definitely looking forward to in the future if either of the two proposes first. With a wide happy smile he pulled the elder closer, kissing him on the cheek.

"I'll be waiting for that day." Taehyun mumbled into the elders neck, not holding back how wide his smile was.

The spell book was gone, it was like a whole new light feeling washed over him, he finally let go of that book that caused so much chaos in his life.

He was so excited to start a new chapter of his life, with Beomgyu.
