Sudha and shyam stood there with eyes filled with tears while all the panchayat members and villagers started leaving. Devamma couldn't stop herself from weeping silently. Her tears of joy were unstoppable and her face was free from stress. She came in front of shyam and hugged him tightly crying in his arms. Shyam consoled her while sudha also shed tears looking at them.

Vikas and his friends sighed in relief and satisfaction seeing the scene unfold before them. They all smiled with tears and left from there after exchanging few words. Dadi hugged sudha tightly and chanted how proud and happy she was for them. They all went home happily and Aabida smiled looking at them coming back happily.

" From where did the remaining money come from? As far as I remember there was no money at all " shyam said as soon as he entered home. Not only him but Devamma and dadi also were eager to know and waited patiently.

" When I was... " Sudha started explaining the incident from earlier and Devamma was deeply moved by her gesture. She hugged sudha and cried her heart out with happiness.

" That's really so kind of her. And yes I will handover the papers and thank her " shyam said and went inside to get the papers. He brought the papers and went to Aabida's house.

" Aunty I cannot express my gratitude in words. The help you did today I will not forget until I die and I will be at your service till my last breath " shyam said and broke down in front of Aabida who's eyes filled with tears.

" No child do not say such words. You have always been very helpful and supportive to me. And to be honest this is not even considered a help for which you should be at my service. Just be happy my child. I always had prayed for your goodness " Aabida said holding his hands. He immediately handed her the papers and she took them without even checking them.

" Fine then I am taking, but you should promise me something " Aabida said with mischief.

" Anything for you " he replied.

" Always be happy and take care of my daughter sudha " Aabida said looking at sudha.

" I promise with my life aunty " shyam said and hugged her and she reciprocated. Later uncle also came to house and shyam thanked him enough. Sometime later everyone thanked them and left to their home. Devamma left for work after sometime.

" This is the remaining money aunty gave to start next crop. Take them " sudha said and handed him the money. Shyam took the money and sudha was about to leave to kitchen. Shyam held her wrist and pulled her towards himself.

" Thank you so much sudha. I can't thank you enough for whatever you have done till now " shyam said holding her shoulders. Sudha nodded with a small smile and left to kitchen while Shyam was disappointed to see her being distant.

Dadi was sitting in backyard with the letter in hand waiting for sudha to show up who did come there after finishing her work in the kitchen. She sat near her feet and started massaging them and dadi sighed in relaxation. She forwarded the letter to her and waited for her to respond.

" Why are you giving me this dadi? " Sudha asked after reading the same letter of job offer.

" So that now you can put it to use. You need to check out whether it is still available or not " dadi said looking at sudha who was in deep thought.

" I don't know dadi. He is upset that I didn't tell him and now this " she said looking at the letter.

" Just talk to him my child. I believe shyam will understand and do apply for the job. I think you will not be disappointed " dadi said placing her hand on sudha's head and sudha nodded.

Tyagaraj came in the late afternoon and talked with his mother. She explained about the panchayat and he sighed in relief. He was finally off the burden now and wanted to take his mother back home. He waited for shyam and Devamma to show up so that he could offer his pleasantries and leave soon.

Shyam had gone to his farm land and nostalgia hit him hard. He saw how his land looked deserted eventhough it was just a few days that he left it. He started clearing all the mess and also removed weeds. He was exhausted after the work and wanted to return home. He would buy the necessary stuff for the crop tomorrow morning and start farming, he thought. He washed his hands and went back home to see his father in law talking with sudha.

" Namaste damaad ji. How are you? " Tyagaraj greeted him standing up. Shyam smiled and exchanged few words before going back to clean himself. When he came back he got to know that he's here to take back his mother and he felt sudha is little upset about it.

" Papa ji let dadi stay here for a few more days. It's not like I am asking her to stay forever " sudha whined like a kid.

" If you want to spend more time with your dadi why don't you come with us to home. It had been a while since you visited. It will be a great time " Tyagaraj replied making shyam shocked.

He was expecting to mend things with his wife and if she goes with her father she will come back only after weeks which means he will not get time to talk to her and improve the relationship. Perhaps he should stop her from going.

" Sasur ji why don't stay for the night? We can catch up on things we missed all these days " shyam interrupted the conversation.

" No damaad ji I couldn't. I should have reached here morning itself but there was an important meeting which I couldn't miss that's why I came late. And moreover I want to take my ma home. If you insist I would like to take sudha with me " Tyagaraj said and waited for his reply. He didn't reply for sometime and to be honest he want to run away from there. Dadi and Tyagaraj suppressed their smiles looking at his expression.

" Sudha I think damaad ji is fine with you going with us. You better pack your stuff " dadi said teasing him more. Sudha was silent not looking at either of them.

" Where is sudha going? " Devamma came from outside and was surprised to see Tyagaraj there. Both of them exchanged few words and now she got to know that they want to take sudha home.

" No bhai sahab. I am sorry to say this but I am not sending sudha this time. We need her to be with us. I will send her as soon as everything is settled in well here. What do you say sudha? If you want to go I am not stopping you dear " Devamma said looking at sudha who now looked at her maaji.

" I am fine maaji. I will stay here " sudha replied making shyam release a breath of relief.

" Behen ji we need to leave now or else it will be too late till we reach home. It was nice meeting you all. Hope to see you soon again " Tyagaraj said and got up to leave.

" Sure Bhai sahab. Next time we will definitely visit your place and have a feast " Devamma said making him chuckle. Dadi hugged sudha and shed tears. No matter how many times they see each other the parting will lead to tears.

" Take care of yourself and your family sudha. My blessings are with you my child " dadi said and kissed her. She even blessed shyam and Devamma and bid bye.

After dinner they all settled to sleep and shyam was eagerly waiting for his wife to show up. He wanted to clear the mess and become normal like before. Sudha came in after few moments and he waited impatiently for her to close the door. As soon as the door was closed he went near her and hugged her from behind shocking her. She relaxed and allowed him to hug her. He inhaled her scent and nuzzled her nose in her hair making her lose control over herself.

" Now tell me what you have been keeping from me? I am really sorry for what I said to you. Now please tell me everything " shyam said pulling her to bed. Sudha looked at him and saw he was genuinely interested in knowing about her.

" Well then I will tell you everything but promise me you are not going to be upset about what I say to you " sudha said hopefully.

" I promise I will not be upset " he said placing his hand in her and she nodded. He held her hand in his and waited for her to start.

" I have studied till twelfth standard. After school there was no college in our Village so me and dadi convinced papaji to go to town to study. After twelfth I had to stop studying because papaji want me to get married but I was rejected due to my problem " sudha said sadly the latter part looking at her leg. Shyam held her hand tightly allowing her to continue.

" When I was getting rejected repeatedly I would feel very depressed. Once I came across an article which said about writing a column in newspaper. It was an opportunity I don't want to lose as I was always interested in writing. So I started writing a column in the newspaper for many days. For that I would get paid money. Dadi really helped me throughout the journey and no one other than dadi knows about it except you now " sudha completed saying.

" So you write a column in newspaper? " Shyam asked raising his brows.

" I used to write but after marriage I stopped writing. And moreover there was a letter which offered me job in newspaper editing or something but I didnt pay much attention to it as I didn't say anything to you " sudha said truthfully.

" Wait, if you write column in newspaper don't they write the persons name who wrote that column? " Shyam asked confused.

" Yes they would write ofcourse " she replied.

" Then how come no one knows its you who is writing column? " He asked getting more interested in knowing about her.

" No I used another name for my column " she replied playing with her fingers.

" Who's name? What's the name? " He asked curiously.

" Ramani. It's dadi's name " she said.

" Your dadi's name is ramani? As far as I know her name is Rama right! " He said.

" But dadi's full name is Ramani. I want to use her name for my column " sudha replied.

" How long have you written columns? " He asked.

" Two years " she replied making him gasp.

She then explained him about the job offer and her wish to join in the job. She was very much interested to join the work. She explained how much she loves writing and how she wished she could write something revealing her name not her dadi's name.

" Fine. I understand. Let me talk to maa about it. Then if possible you can join too. I don't want to stop you from achieving your dreams. But make sure you share them with me " shyam said making sudha's eyes fill with tears.

" I promise I will not keep any secrets from now on " she said and hugged him tightly.

He rubbed her tears after separating from the hug and she leaned into his touch. She was looking at him with an emotion which made shyam close the distance between their lips. He smooched her lips ever so sensually that she held his collar tightly pulling him closer towards her.

So finally Sudha will be writing stories. I know many people wanted her to continue writing(even me from the beginning 😉) finally it's happening 🎊
