Lena -

I was really worried theo would not like his gift but he loved it and when i opened mine i was in shock it is a beautiful silver ring with a heart shaped moon stone its beautiful im staring at it in shock when he tilts my chin up to look at him. “ it is a promise ring Lena i promise you i am not going anywhere and i do whatever i can to protect you and i promise to love you. I love you lena.”  

He just told me he loved me i know we have not been together long but everything with him feels like i am ment to be with him. “ i love you too theo” we take a minuet longer and head back downstairs and all of our friends are there but all i can think about is the ring on my hand and how he promises he is not going anywhere and that he loves me. Jamie walks up and i hug her and smile and she stops and grabs my hand. 

“ wait what is this!!” she examines it and looks at me and Theo. “ are you too…” i shake my head and laugh “ no Jamie alittle early for that it is a promise ring theo got it for me.” she wiggles her eye brows and i roll my eyes then griffin and kraig come over. And jamie asks griffin how come he hasnt gotten her one yet and he rolls his eyes and sips on his drink. “ thanks theo just had to one up us guys huh” he laughs. 

“ hey my girl deserves the best” he says and pulls me in i smile and take his hand in mine squeezing it. We all gather around the table i sit down smiling looking around at my friends my family and my wonderful boyfriend life could not be better. I have love i have family and friends and i got into the school of my dreams life is perfect right now. I wish my dad was here to see everything but i know he is watching me. 

With it being winter break i picked up some more shifts im at work and i smile at john. “ hey john im going to get some air ill be right back okay??” he nods and i step out front the cold air hitting my skin feels amazing vs being inside sweating to death. I see will and shake my head as he walks up to me i cross my arms. 

“ will why are you here??” 

He rolls his eyes at me “ i came to drop off something for john dont worry princess i wont be here long.” he stops and stares at me and then i go to shove my hands in my pocket but he stops me and looks at my hand. “ wow that guy moves quick huh “ i pull my hand away. 

“ not really any of your concern is it now do what you have to and leave.” He walks past me and i text theo.

Lena - hey babe how are you feeling still feeling sick ??

Theo - yeah i feel like shit i prolly wont be at school tomorrow 

Lena - okay ill make sure to grab any assigments from first period and ill ask Jamie to get anything els feel better. I love you 

Theo - i will try i love you too 

I slip my phone back in my pocket and get back to work when my shift ends i stop and theos and leave him some hot soup but he is passed out i kiss his forehead and head home and get in the shower and pass out as soon as i hit my bed. 

Theo -

After christmas i am super sick with the flu so i cant see lena because i can barley get out of bed and i feel like trash to where i only sleep i let her know i probably wont be at school and she said she would get my home work for me.

I wake up and stumble downstairs and my mom said lena left me some soup i warm it up and go upstairs its late so i leave her a text saying thank you. I fall back asleep almost instantly after eating atleast i can hold food down.

It has been a couple days and lena has dropped off most off my home work i still cant get out of bed. She normally comes over after her last class of the day seeing her always makes my day better. Its wednesday going on 10am i take a long hot shower feeling alittle better. I send her a text but get no respond but she is prolly in class and can not answer. I lay down and turn on the tv flipping through the channels when breaking news comes on. I try to turn the channel but it is on all the channels. 

Active shooter at covert highschool! I jump up and make sure i read the headline right. That i am not hallucinating from being sick I pull my phone up and text the group chat

Groupchat -

me - hey guys what the hell is going on are you okay!!

Griffin - i am fine i am with jamie we are hiding there is an active shooter i dont know where kraig and lena are.

Kraig - i am safe guys stay safe stay low keep volume and brightness down!!

I read the texts heart pounding i throw on clothes and rush down to the school it is surrounded by cops and swat. 

me - has anyone seen or heard from lena are you okay where are you

Grffin - no i havent seen her since this morning 

Kraig - same last i saw her she was walking to 3 period. 

I pull at my hair looking at everything around me i can hear gun shots echoing from inside i feel like im going to be sick. Where is lena and is she okay please answer.
