Lena - 

I try to get out of the class as soon as the bell rings, but Theo, the new guy, is waiting for me at the door when I feel a hand on my shoulder. My chest feels like it could collapse in on my heart. Little sparks fly through my skin when he touches me.

He introduces himself  "Uh hi, I'm Theo" while jitterily biting his lip. I stare down at the ground before turning to face him again. I stumble. How humiliating.

 I'm Lena, and it's nice to meet you, Theo. He asked if I know where room 321 is even though he appears nervous and when I answer yes, he grinned as I led him there.

"Thank you, Lena" I give him a smile then look back down at the ground nervous.   

"You are welcome Theo well I should get going before the bell rings," I say and turn around to head to my next class. 

"Wait, uh, can I get your number?" He asks, and I am shocked and nod in acceptance before he hands me his phone. I put my number in it and dashed to my following class to avoid being late. I can't help but smile when I sit down next to Jamie in class. I mumble to her.

Jamie, a new student in my first session, asked me for my phone number and, my god, he is hot. As the bell sounds and the teacher asks us to quiet down, she exhales in excitement and smacks my arm.

His speech is so unbearably dull that I just sit back and listen. My phone vibrates in my pocket. He is writing on the board when I look up. I take it out and check the number; it is unknown. 

Unknown: "Hey, it's Theo ;)" I purse my lips and consider my response.

Hey Theo, you should be paying attention in class, says Lena.

I put my phone away and turn to see Jamie beaming broadly. she has finally given us some free time to collaborate on a paper and whisper.

He texted you, didn't he? I noticed your grin. She starts to speak a little too loudly, so I hushe her, nod, and jot the answers down on paper. 

"Yes, did he only say hi and not much else?" She shakes her head at me while leaning back. I sigh and groan as the morning drags on, but eventually I make my way to my locker, take out my keys, and stuff my books inside. Jamie is standing next to my locker.

“I can't believe you are only doing half days so lucky!” she groans and I laugh. 

"I suppose you should  have enrolled in more classes so you were able to have half days." I hear a strong voice behind me as she straightens up.

“ Hey Lena, are you heading to lunch?” I turn around and it is Theo I feel lost for words and Jamie jumps in.

 “ Hi, im Jamie nice to meet you” She holds her hand out and he shakes it. 

“I'm Theo nice to meet you Jamie” I look between them and shake myself from my thoughts trying to get the words to come out. 

 “I uh no I'm heading to work I only do half days” Jamie groans 

“Yeah she is a loser and is ditching us!” I laugh and shut my locker. 

“Sorry Jamie, maybe Theo will sit with you. I'm sure you could show him around the rest of the day” he grins at me.

 “Any friend of Lenas is a friend of mine.” she grins and claps her hand in excitement and stands beside him. 

“ Don't worry Lena I'll just tell him all your embarrassing stories” She drags him along to the cafeteria before I can protest i laugh and start to head out to the parking lot to go to work. 

Theo - 

I didn't see Lena after my first class with her until this morning. When the bell for lunch sounds, I'm making my way to the cafeteria when I see her chatting to a girl who is a bit taller than her and has black hair and green eyes. She appears irritated as she talks to the other girl. She doesn't answer when I approach from behind and ask whether she's going to lunch, but her friend does. Jamie is her name, and she says that Lena only works half days when she introduces herself. That makes me a little sad, but her friend and I go to the cafeteria anyhow.

A few more of her friends came over after we sat down. They all appeared to be pretty cool. I used to hang out with a small group of friends from my previous school, but we were not as close as they appeared to be. Just from lunch, I've seen that Griffin, the boy Jamie has a thing for, appears to be ignorant. Griffin and Kraig have the same class as mine, so when the bell rings, we walk together to my next class. I flit in and out of the conversation while they discuss something.

“ So what is up with Lena..?” I ask wanting to know more about her and Griffin grins 

“ Lena is just Lena she works hard and has big dreams she hasn't dated much since she and Will broke up.” I look over at Kraig and he shakes his head. 

They were sort of the it couple he loved, She adored him, but after the accident, his entire personality changed. He dropped out and abandoned her. As we enter, I nod while looking down because I am speechless. I take a seat next to Griffin and Kraig. If they want to tell me that it was their decision, I won't push to find out what could have happened to cause him to alter.

When the final bell rings, Jamie approaches me while I'm at my locker pulling out some of my books and listening to the thunder outside. "Hey, what are you up to?" I give her a long look before shaking my head no and closing my locker as she asks with a smile.

“ nope totally free why whats up.” she claps her hands together and smiles. 

“ good then come with me.” i follow her confused as we walk outside and the sky is dark thunder booms and the rain is coming down hard griffin and kraig smirk at me. 

“ thanks Jamie we will take it from here.” Jamie smiles and rushes towards her car i look at them confused. 

“ so whats going on?” i ask and they look at each other for a moment.

"You said you were new, so let's go. We're going to show you around town." I shrug and get into the back of griffin's car while they take me around the neighborhood. I suppose I underestimated just how little this town was.
