I sent Lena a text after she left for work and have not heard back. I asked the group if they wanted to meet up for dinner to surprise her and they agreed when we walk in we don't see Lena. I look around confused because I know she is supposed to be here till 8. We get seated and our waitress comes up. " Hey ally, where is Lena?" Jamie asks and she looks down and sighs.

" She left early. Will came and they had an argument and he slapped her so I let her go home early."

We all look at each other and I feel nothing but anger. Why would he slap her and where could she be? We get up and head outside my heart pounding "is she okay? "

"okay guys where could she be?" I ask and they all stand there quietly.

" Okay I have an idea Jamie says and we all get in the car and she drives us out to an overlook and she was right lena is here the sun is setting. I get out and rush over to her and she looks like she has been crying. I look at her and she shakes her head not looking at me.

" Go away guys, I want to be alone" she quivers. I sit down beside her and she looks up at me and her face is all red and puffy. I just pull her into a hug. She wraps her arms around me, holding onto me tight tears streaming down her face. I run my hand through her hair resting my head on top of hers.

"What happened Lena Ally said WIll slap you?" Jamie asks as she pulls away and takes a deep breath and nods her head yes.

"I stepped outside after a big rush and I was checking my phone when I heard Will was drunk and angry and I guess I made him mad because he slapped me! Why would he do that? He has never laid a hand on me."

I look up at the guys and they look angry Griffin clenches his fist "I swear if I see him im gonna kill him he should not have laid a hand on you Lena!" she gets up and shakes her head No.

"He is not worth he is not himself he has changed the William we knew and grew up with is gone guys but thank you for checking in on me I appreciate it I love you guys."

" hey let me drive you home okay ?" she nods and hands me her keys and gets in the passenger side." I look out at the town below us as it is lighting up the night sky and sigh. How can someone hit Lena? She is such a kind amazing person. I get in and she looks up at me, calming down more and she smiles at me.

" Thank you for driving me home Theo." I reach over and hold her hand in mine.

" no need to thank me Lena if you ever need me just call i'm always a call away." I say and start driving. We pull up to her house and she smiles at me.

" How about I walk you home?" she asks and I grin and take her hand in mine again and we walk back to my house the night sky lit by the moon the crickets chirping owls whoo just her and I peaceful.

When we get to my house the living room light is still on which means my parents are still awake. I look down at her and she stands on her tippy toes and kisses me slowly. This time it is more passionate. I pull away and smile down at her and kiss her head again.

" Goodnight Lena, call me when you get home okay?" she nods

"Goodnight I will thank you again for everything."

I watch as she walks off. I walk inside and walk up to my room which is still half packed. I look over at the photo of me and Tatum and smile.I roll over and look at my phone waiting for her to text or call letting me know she got home safe.

LENA- hey just got home I will call as soon as I get out of the shower thank you for tonight 🩷" I smile and get up and slip into a pair of gray sweats and lay back down she calls I pick up and we talk all night I don't remember when I fell asleep.
