"You seem like a warrior." Jeongukk spoke while he swirls his hands as a magical sword appeared.

"You aren't that dumb I must say. I am! I am the royal warrior!" Lin shin spoke as he got his sword out too.

"So... You very well know that a warrior is bound to follow the rules of a battle."

"I do."

"Then you must stay away from Y/n! The battle is between us... You won't harm her."

"I am here to kill you both and show you the worst death ever!"

"Pfft. Until I am alive you won't touch her."

"Alright. Anyways you won't be alive for that long!"

"Whatever. Don't break this rule."

"Yeah yeah! The game is on."

They started to fight. Lin Shin threw blades at Jeongukk which were easily dodged. After attacking each other with blades, balls of blue fire, and dark auras.

Lin Shin attacked Jeongukk with his sword using all his force but Jeongukk easily blocked him with one hand, as his powers were uncontrollable because of his anger. He attacked Lin Shin who moved back and escaped it. Jeongukk started to constantly attack him because he lost it. Lin Shin protected himself and kept moving back until he reached the end of the path and his back touched the tree's trunk.

"Is that all you got. Poor little Oldie?"

He pushed Jeongukk which was of no use. Jeongukk smirked and rolled his eyes at Lin Shin's vague practices. He hit Lin Shin's sword for the last time which fell away from him.

"Now you see what this kiddo can do?" Jeongukk was about to stab Lin Shin. When he started to beg for his forgiveness.

"I lose! Don't kill me." He said tearing up. "I am doing this for someone. I am forced to do this!"

"Why should I trust you huh?" Jeongukk asked while tilting his head and placed his sword near Lin Shin's throat.

He blew off the fire down as according to the rules if someone shouts 'I lose'. The battle is immediately ended to avoid loss and chaos.

Y/n came close but Jeongukk actioned her to stay back.

"I-I had to kill you both as my duty! Please leave me! I did not do anything on purpose."

"Who sent you? You know if you lie I can slit your throat cut?"

"The light prince sent me! The light king asked me to kill you and your eomma."

"HOW DARE HE THINKS ABOUT EVEN TOUCHING MY EOMMA! THEY ARE GONNA REGRET THIS! CAN'T THEY MIND THEIR OWN F***ING KINGDOM? SUCKERS." Jeongukk's eyes started to turn darker as his powers overpowered his innocence.

"WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT MY FATHER AND BROTHER!" Jeongukk's voice now sounded bolder and deeper than his usual jolly and playful ones.

Lin Shin smirked at him.

"STOP SMIRKING YOU DORK OR I WILL MAKE SURE YOUR HEAD WILL BE OFF YOUR BODY SO DON'T CHALLENGE ME OR TEST MY PATIENCE"

"You have hence proved that you are the prince of darkness... Look at yourself.... All covered in blood, trying to kill innocent, unarmed people of light kingdom cause you want to take it over? Oh, look did you scare your love too? Look at her how scared she is of you. Guess this is why your father left you and you are not left out of the dark castle because you are an uncontrollable BEAST! A beast like you don't deserve to live."

Jeongukk looked at himself and the sword he was holding. He pulled the sword back and looked at Y/n who was actually terrified of Lin Shin's will to kill Jeongukk but because of Lin Shin's words, he thought it was because of him.

Jeongukk was always scared of his powers because this was not the first time he lost his control and whenever he did, he caused huge chaos. The only wish he asked from a shooting star expect having a happy family was to get rid of his powers. He thought of them as a curse. Deep inside he felt that everyone loved him for the tag of his tag of 'THE DARK PRINCE - SAVIOUR OF YIN.'

'He is a curse!!' 'He should be killed!' 'He is not a savior. He is the one from who everyone needs to be protected.' Jeongukk started to hear the voices again. The voices which kept killing him all these years. The voices which were memories he never knew but remembered till today.

"Seems like he remembers it all even if he was just a kid back then." Lin shin mumbled, followed by smirks.

"Y-Y/n d-do t-think of me as a c-curse too? Y-you think I-I shouldn't be a-alive too? Y-you th-hink I am a b-beast?" Jeongukk asked Y/n slowly walking towards her.

He just wanted to know from the love of his life if even she cared about him or not because if she didn't he had no reason to live. His heart was already broken by many things which he faced but he kept his smile on to run away from that part of his. Tears kept flowing down his eyes as he was vulnerably broken.

This was the first time ever Y/n saw him so vulnerable. The first time she saw actual tears in his eyes. She ran towards him and hugged him. Her face was in his chest.

"No. No gukkie!! Never! I love-"

Lin Shin stabbed Jeongukk from the back. Y/n looked at him and her red eyes which were already swollen widen. Jeongukk lost all his control.

"Y/N GET BACK."

"J-Jeongukk"

"GET BACK!"

Y/n flinched and moved back. Jeongukk turned to face Lin Shin.

"Guess what kiddo? This is just the beginning. The Beginning of your end!''

"No dork. You don't know me till now. This is nothing." Jeongukk punched Lin Shin in the face as he landed on the ground. He pulled out the sword from his back and threw it away.

Lin Shin got up trying to get back his sword but Jeongukk punched him hard. He kept punching him and Lin Shin's nose got disfigured. He was bleeding and wanted Jeongukk to stop so he grabbed a blade and threw it towards Y/n.

Y/n's leg got a slight cut which made her whimper in pain. Jeongukk's eyes widen and he left Lin Shin and ran towards Y/n.

"Are you hurt? Where did you get hurt? I'm sorry. He is hurting you because of me." He looked at Y/n worried scanning her for injuries.

"I am fine Gukkie! You are hurt. Let's go. Please!"

"Aww!! Your love got hurt??? Tsk tsk! Weak love. Weak lover!" Lin Shin laughed.

"Not before I teach him a lesson."

He turned towards Lin Shin who was standing armed with his sword. Lin Shin casted a spell and 'THE 3' magical swords appeared. Jeongukk's eyes widen because these were a special type of swords that only stopped after stabbing someone. He was worried that Y/n would get hurt due to them.

"Guess I found where your soul actually lies."

"NO! STOP!"

Lin Shin smirked before aiming it towards Y/n.

"Jeongukk!"

"Nothing can touch you till I am alive!"

Y/n cried out loud as the daggers which were meant to hit her, stabbed right through Jeongukk's hurt. He was in more pain because he was hurt at the same spot where he was already injured.

"Sh Sh. I am fine. It's just a little cut. Don't cry I am ok." He smiled at her.

"I dont like it when you cry! Don't cry please? See I'm not hurt. Hmm?" He smiled trying to reassure her as the blood from his wounds was dripping on Y/n, who was shielded by him.

"How can I not? I care for you stupid!" Y/n asked crying harder. Y/n touched his face.

"It hurts me more to see you cry than these swords and wounds. I'm alright as long as you are alright. You are my heart beat."
