Surprises 1 ~ Malcolm X Linda

Hey, here I am again. It's Mal X Linda again, because I kinda start liking it. Anyway, I'm so sorry, that my updates are so slow again. I'm working on it and I promise that I'll hurry with all the other requests too. Thank you for understanding.

Hope you'll enjoy it.

It was a quiet Wednesday evening when Malcolm Young was walking home from work. The new album was released two weeks ago and planning for the next tour was in full swing. The young man smiled as he held a bouquet of red roses and approached the house where he lived with his fiancee. He crossed the small garden and closed the garden gate behind him before unlocking the front door and taking off his shoes. Malcolm sneaked into the kitchen smiling and saw his girlfriend standing at the stove stirring something in a saucepan.

"Hey baby." He hummed as he wrapped his arms around her and stood behind her. Malcolm kissed her shoulder gently. "I have a present for you." He showed her the flowers, grinning.

"Ow. They're beautiful." She smiled and placed the flowers in a vase. "Thank you." Malcolm smiled as he sat down at the kitchen table and she placed a bowl of soup in front of him. Also a spoon and a basket of bread. Whenever Malcolm came home from work, he was really hungry. No wonder, he didn't eat anything all day. Linda sat down in the chair across from him and watched for a while as he wolfed down the soup. "Take your time." She chuckled softly. "Nobody takes it away from you." Malcolm blushed a little and looked at the floor in embarrassment. She giggled as she refilled his bowl and kissed his forehead gently. "I love you."

"I love you too." Malcolm smiled. Linda gently stroked his cheek.

"You're still so skinny, honey." Malcolm chuckled softly. "No matter what I feed you, you don't gain weight."

"It probably runs in the family. Look at Angus." Malcolm grinned and continued eating his soup. Linda smiled a little before it faded as she stood behind him and watched him. God, she loved this man so much. Short, but still taller than herself, very slender, thinner than her. Much thinner. Malcolm had lost weight over the past few weeks from not eating much because of all the work and now he really looked like skin and bones. His long, velvety soft brown hair, which she loved to feel between her fingers, glistened in the light of the kitchen lamp. She took a deep breath. Would he leave her if she told him the secret? Would he hate her? Yell at her? She just couldn't take all these thoughts anymore. Tears welled up in her eyes and rolled down her cheeks as she sat down across from him. Malcolm didn't notice any of this yet. He was too focused on the soup. But when he lifted his head to smile at her, he stopped. Tears rolled down her cheek. "Honey, what's wrong?" He asked worriedly, reaching out to take her hand. She sniffed and wiped her eyes.

"Nothing." She said softly.

"That's not true. What's happening? My girl doesn't just cry like that. She's too strong for that." Malcolm replied softly. She smiled weakly. "What's happening?"

"Eat your soup." She sniffed, wiping her eyes again before taking her hand from his. "You're too skinny." She whispered softly. Malcolm watched her worriedly.

"Baby what's up? Why are you crying? Have I done something wrong?" Linda could feel more tears welling up in her eyes. Why did he have to be so damn perfect? Why did he always have to look for the fault in himself? "You can tell me if I've done something wrong. It's OK. If there's a problem, then we should talk about it." She sniffled.

"Eat your soup, Mal."

"Treasure..."

"I carry your child inside me!" Linda screamed angrily. Tears were now streaming down her cheeks. Malcolm, shocked, dropped his spoon into the bowl, causing soup to splatter onto his shirt. His mouth was wide open and he looked like a fish out of water. "I've got your damn child in my stomach, Young!" Linda yelled. Her face was red with anger. "I found out today and I...I can't." She trailed off, only sobbing softly. Malcolm was still staring at her in shock. "Say something." She sobbed, looking at him pleadingly. "Yell at me. Beat me. Kick me out. Do something." Malcolm looked at her perplexed for a while before a stupid grin spread across his face.

"You're pregnant?" Linda didn't answer, just sobbed softly. The rhythm guitarist got up, walked around the table and hugged her. "Baby, stop crying. We're going to be parents!" Linda looked up and was shocked to see Malcolm beaming happily. "We will have a child! Damn Linds! I thought we'd wait until after the wedding but...but...damn, I'm so happy!" He pulled her into a tight hug and rubbed her back. She sobbed softly as her heart ached. Why was he happy? "Stop crying, honey." He pulled back and gently wiped the tears from her cheeks before kissing her hard. "I love you my sweetheart."

"Mal." She whimpered softly, her voice broken.

"What's wrong, honey?" He gently tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I don't want the baby." She whispered. Malcolm's smile faded and he looked at her in shock. "I don't want to be pregnant." She breathed softly, not daring to look at him. She knew that she was a woman and that in the times they were in, it wasn't her place to say such a thing to him.

"W...why not?" Malcolm asked softly. "Baby, I promise I will always love you. I will always take care of you and the child. And I don't care if it's a boy or a girl, okay? I'm not like those men who just want boys." Linda smiled a little and sniffled.

"It's not that, I...I just don't want to have a child. I...I don't feel ready for this I..." Malcolm looked at her sadly. His expression, which had so quickly brightened and been happy, had just as quickly changed to sadness.

"Is it me?" Malcolm asked quietly. "Did I do something wrong? Did I...did I hurt you?" Linda sobbed softly.

"Mal. Stop searching fault on yourself." She whimpered weakly. "You didn't do anything wrong." Malcolm bowed his head sadly. "I...I'll bring the baby into the world for you, okay? I...I'm sorry for what I said. It wasn't my place." Malcolm lifted his head and looked at her in shock.

"Baby, I...I love you. You don't have to give birth to a child if you don't want to. Damn, you think I'd make you do it? It's your body and you alone decide what happens to your body." He pulled her gently into his arms and rocked her a little while he kissed her head. "I love you. And I want you to be happy. If you want an abortion, I'll go there with you. I will pay for it. This is not a problem. If...if you really want that, then...then I'll support you, okay? I just want my girl to be happy." Linda gave him a weak smile and sniffed softly.

"I don't deserve you." He chuckled softly and kissed her hard.

"I love you. And you deserve a lot more than just me."

"I love you too, Malcolm."

Fifteen minutes later, the two were in the shower together. Malcolm had gotten pretty quiet since the conversation at the dinner table. He turned his back on Linda and looked at the wall. Linda stood behind him and gently stroked his shoulder-length, wet hair. She stroked the skin on his wet back, on which water kept pattering down from the shower head. She put her arms around him and rested her head on his shoulder. Why was he so sad? Malcolm turned his head and smiled weakly before looking down at his feet again. Linda sighed softly and kissed his shoulder tenderly.

"I love you." She whispered softly.

After the shower, they dried off and went to bed. Malcolm was wearing only panties, Linda was wearing a shirt and her underwear. He was lying on his back on his side of the bed, looking up at the ceiling. Linda watched him for a while.

"What's going on?" She asked softly.

"Nothing." He murmured, seeming lost in thought. Linda scooted towards him and rested her head on his chest. Normally he put his arms around her, but today he didn't move. She raised her hand and gently stroked the hair on his chest. She liked it very much. "The tour starts in three days." He then said. She looked at him questioningly. "For the new album. We're leaving in three days." Linda nodded. Malcolm turned his head and looked at her briefly with a pained look before said look quickly disappeared from his face and he kissed her on the forehead. "Good night." He closed his eyes, her head still on his chest.

"Good night, Mal." She whispered, making herself a little more comfortable. Was he mad at her?

When Linda woke up the next morning, Malcolm was out of bed. She yawned softly and snuggled into the sheets. The first rays of sun were already shining through the window, as Malcolm had opened the curtains, as well as the window itself. She rolled onto her back when she heard voices. Suddenly she wasn't tired anymore, but extremely curious. Linda got up and wrapped a robe around her body before she quietly crossed the bedroom and went down the hall. Soon she arrived at the stairs leading down to the first floor. Now she could hear the voices loud and clear. She could also see Angus and Malcolm sitting on the sofa. She crouched on a staircase and looked down to listen. Maybe I shouldn't do this, she thought briefly. But then she decided against it. Angus put an arm around his brother, causing Malcolm to rest his head on Angus' shoulder. It was quiet between the two of them for a while and Linda wondered why it looked like Angus was the big brother.

"You should tell her, Mal." Angus then said.

"I already have, Ang." Malcolm murmured softly. "But I can't force her to do it. And I don't want her to feel obligated." Malcolm's sad voice felt a pang in Linda's heart. Is it about me? She asked herself.

"Mal, you always wanted to have children." Angus said. "Just tell her you'd be the happiest man if you had a kid together."

"I...just...Ang, I was so happy. Damned. I thought she was just scared to tell me and that we would be happy to have a little kid, but...then she told me that she doesn't really want kids and I...I told her that it was fine with me. Even though it really hurt to say that because it... it makes me sad. But I just want her to be happy, you know." He mumbled the last part under his breath. Angus smiled a little and pulled Malcolm tighter against him.

"You didn't do anything wrong, Mal. She can be lucky to have a man like you." Linda sighed softly as she listened to the conversation. So Malcolm had lied. He wasn't happy with her decision. But then why did he say that he was?
