Third Person POV
Deep breathes, Felic. Deep breathes. The raven-haired woman caught herself in a predicament. Her nerves shot up from the abysmal and she was violently fiddling with her fingers. Felic 'rested' her body into the living room sofa, trying to calm herself down.
It was already 10:00 in the morning and she was the only resident awake in their humongous mansion. Of course, Felic had her own property, but at this point this glorious mansion of their's is like a second home to her. Most likely because Monika begs her to come over frequently when she is having one of her... episodes.
However, besides Monika, a certain someone also peeked her interest to visit the mansion regularly. The only problem was, she hasn't woken up yet for Felic to see her. The adrenaline from awaiting her presence sent the raven-haired woman over the edge. The sofa helped a bit, but she could still feel her hands shaking along with her fingers doing little dances with each other as she fiddled with them.
This feeling was both exciting and aggravating at the same time.
Moments later, Felic could hear foot steps trotting down the stairs. Judging from that speed, it was definitely not Monika's foot steps or Neil's, so it must of been—
"Fel!" The Gods have given Felic a breather on account of the nickname that was just said. Only one person calls her that and that person was... "E-Ella. G-Good morning," Felic mentally cursed herself for awaiting for so long only to reply with stutters.
"Mornin' to you too," Ella presented a toothy grin towards her girlfriend. Yes, they were officially dating for a couple weeks now. Surprisingly, Felic was the first one to confess their feelings because of the help of their friends. Everyone knew it would happen eventually, so they pitched in discreetly for the two hopelessly in love teenagers. If it wasn't for their bantering and motivation, Ella and Felic would be single right about now.
The blonde noticed Felic's apprehensive mannerisms very clearly, which concerned her. "Hey, are you okay? It looks like a ghost came up behind you and gave you a bear hug or... something," Ella quirked up one of her brows from her wording and for her girlfriend.
"I don't know any ghosts who can bear hug or... hug for that matter, but anyway—"
"Yes, Ella I'm okay. I was, uh, just nervous is all," the raven-hair stood up from the sofa, insisting she was walking towards the kitchen.
"Welll if you're suree... but what are you nervous about?" Before Felic could take one step, Ella swung her arm around her shoulder. At first, Felic assumed her girlfriend was initiating a comforting shoulder, until she saw a teasing look set across the blonde's face. Now, she assumed this would not end well.
"Were you waiting for little 'ol me to wake up? Is that whyy?" Ella said with smugness not leaving her pale face. She was hoping this got a reaction out of Felic; she definitely received what she was expecting.
The shorter teenager did not say a word, which made no difference because her face was doing all of the talking. Felic's face changed colors quicker than any other person Ella has seen before. What amused the blonde even more was how noticeably red her girlfriend can become; it was a magic trick to her.
Soon enough, the red-faced Felic did respond to Ella, well, she did her best at responding. "I mean... I don't know..."
Ella misunderstood what Felic meant by what she said, she thought the raven-hair was becoming uncomfortable with her teasing, so she let go of her. Well— that was not the responds I was expecting.
The blonde ended up apologizing to her girlfriend for her actions, it was a gut feeling to apologize to her. "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable," she wrapped her hand around her nape and began to rub it.
Felic settled down most of her face, which was in the process of cooling off still, but she gave Ella a bewildering expression. Why this all of a sudden?
"Hm? Uncomfortable? What do you mean?" The raven-haired woman asked with confusion. She was by no means uncomfortable by Ella's bantering, she was only having trouble giving a response.
"Oh... you seemed uncomfortable after a while... so... I thought..."
"What? No, no, not at all!" Felic waved her hands around, it looked much more adorable than what was intended.
"You weren't??"
"No, I was just having a hard time replying is all."
"Ohh! I thought— you—"
Both girls stared at each other for a few longing seconds. It felt awkward at first, but at some point the mood shifted erratically, following two girls laughing in sync.
"So— ha— I wasn't?" The blonde tried speaking again through her unpredictable giggles. Felic was no different from her, they were both in the same boat of laughter.
Once their giggling died down, both girls realized they needed to talk about the misunderstanding at hand. Another thing they realized was Ella was knocked onto the sofa, her body couldn't handle the laughter, so it plummeted towards the first possible object it could land on.
Felic stood pent-up on the floor with balance of steel. She was much more in control of her balance than her girlfriend.
The blonde softly let out another giggle. "I guess that was much more funnier than we thought, huh?" She easily picked up another smile on her face after the incident.
"Ha, yeah," Felic reciprocated a smile back, joining the blonde on the sofa; she completely forgot about the kitchen. "But hey, once again, you did not make me uncomfortable."
Ella turned her head Felic's way, so she could look at her. She nodded her head. "Good. That's good. So... my teasing hasn't been... bothering you has it?"
It was Felic's turn to gesture with her head, only she shook her's instead of nodding. "Not at all... to be honest I actually find your teasing to be... nice.
"Woahh. Really?" A glimmer of delight shined through Ella's eyes, causing a ball of warmth to seep through the raven-hair's stomach.
"Mhm! The only problem is... I'm bad at replying at certain times. Sometimes I don't know what to say at all..."
"Huh. Well that's nothing to worry about! Because..." Ella emphasizes her next word with hand gestures saying, "communicationnn!"
"Communication?"
"Yeah! I could always help out with your struggles around that area. If, ya know, you'll let me of course," a smile not leaving her face, Ella proudly gave Felic a I-wouldn't-mind-doing-this kind of look.
The raven-haired woman did a bit of thinking to that idea. She felt bad for not giving anything in return to Ella's help, so she wanted add onto the topic. "Yeah. That would be fine with me, but speaking of that..." Felic trailed off.
"Yeah?"
"Just know that if you do tease me, I won't be against it if I don't reply to it, if that makes sense? But, if it comes to a point where it does make me uncomfortable, I'll let you know," to Felic, it sounded like her words were twisted, but not to Ella. Ella understood her clearly.
"I got it! Yes, Ma'am!" The blonde held her hand against her forehead, showing off a little salute.
"Yes, Ma'am on the 'answer-better-possibly' thing too," the blonde done another salute right after.
The shorter teenager chuckled at her girlfriend's saluting. Felic already knew she needed to get used to having a partner, she already established that the first week they dated. Only being two weeks in, it is understandable at her age; both of their ages.
However, if she was going to allow herself to develop with anyone... she wanted it to be with Ella. Felic had a feeling; Ella had a feeling; they both had a great feelings about their relationship, so they were both going to do what they do best.
"Soo, can we communicate about you asking me out on a datee?" Ella leaned in a bit closer to the raven-hair, touching her from shoulder to shoulder contact.
In this moment, Felic was bursting with confidence after their talk, so she thought of a response immediately this time. She was not necessarily expecting it to be the best response in the world, but at least she was trying; that is all that matters to her former partner.
"Hmm... how about I make you lunch first, then we'll communicate. Maybe," the shorter woman pent-up from the sofa, a slight smile spread across her face.
"Aww! Alright fine," Ella pouted her lips, standing up from the sofa as well.
Both girls finally made it to the kitchen after an hour of talking to one another. It was unbelievable that an hour has gone by already. Either way, both girls felt satisfied from the talk they had, no matter the length.
No matter how long the talk is or what it is you're communicating about... at the end of the day...
Feelings are weird...
