The Attack and Isuke's Possession

Miu's POV

Sasuke did a couple of back flips and jumped towards the ball behind him. I watched as he did a few hand signs and a small charge of lightning appeared in his hand. What kind of jutsu is that? Sasuke ran down the wall and charged towards Gaara. He's fast.

"Excellent." Lord Kazekage murmured. I looked at him, then back at Sasuke. I noticed there was an eyeball near Gaara's sand dome. I closed my eyes and looked through the eye. When I did, I found Gaara with his eyes closed.

I looked at the mark near his eye, reading the word 'love'. The sand spikes emerged from the sand dome and towards Sasuke, attempting to injure or at least, stop him. But Sasuke dodged the sand spikes and was able to penetrate through Gaara's defense.

"Incredible." I murmured. I looked at Gaara's sand dome. It was silent. Nothing was happening. Is Gaara even alive in there? "Gaara..." I whispered. "AHH! BLOOD! IT'S MY BLOOD!" Gaara screamed. "Gaara!" I said out of worry.

Sasuke used his lightning technique again and pulled his arm out of the dome. But when he did, something came out with him. It's looked like an arm. It retreated, heading back inside the dome. Then, the sand started to crumble away and reveal Gaara.

He gripped his shoulder, which was bleeding. That must be where Sasuke hit him. Wait a second. Why does everything feel... quiet? I looked towards the audience. Everyone was asleep. "Lord Hokage, what's going on?" I asked as I looked at him.

I looked at him and saw him glancing at Lord Kazekage. I gasped when a smoke bomb went off. I quickly stood to my feet. "What's going on?" I repeated. "Lord Kazekage, what is this?" Lord Hokage demanded. "Lord Hokage," A jonin was by his side to see if he was all right.

My eyes widened when two kunai knives hit him near his shoulder, making cover my mouth in shock. I went over to Lord Hokage. "Lord Third, why is this happening?" I asked. "I'm sorry about this, Miu." Lord Kazekage said. "Huh- Oof!" He kicked me in the chest, making fall down into the arena.

I landed on my back with a thud as my eyes closed from the impact. "Miu!" I felt someone help me sit up. "Are you all right?" I heard Sasuke asked. I opened my eyes and blinked them a few times. "Lord Hokage... Lord Hokage!" I looked towards balcony.

I couldn't see anything due to the smoke. "Princess, are you all right?" Isuke appeared by my side and helped me to my feet. "Who're you?" Sasuke asked him. "No time to explain. Princess, are you unharmed?" Isuke asked, avoiding Sasuke's question.

"I'm fine. We need to get to Lord Hokage." I said as I stood up. "Argh!" I looked at Isuke as he gripped his head. "Isuke, what's wrong?" I asked, worriedly. "P... Princess... please... get back." Isuke grunted. "Miu, get away from him!" Sasori pulled me away from Isuke.

"What's wrong with him? What's happening? Isuke!" I called to him. Isuke let out a cry before falling to his knees. His hands feel to his sides as he kept his head lowered. "Isuke?" I took a step forward. Isuke lifted his head to look at me, his face emotionless.

His eyes weren't pink anymore. They were blood red. "Isuke?" I repeated. "Stay away from him, Miu." Sasori said. "But Isuke-"

"That's not Isuke anymore. He's under someone's control now." Sasori explained. "But... who's controlling him?" I asked. "I think I have an idea." He looked where Lord Hokage and Lord Kazekage were at. Isuke jumped towards that area, disappearing into the smoke.

"Isuke, wait!" I called as I attempted to chase after him. "Miu, stop!" Sasuke grabbed my arm, stopping me. "Let me go! Isuke!" I yanked my arm out of his hold and leaped towards the area Isuke went. "Isuke!" I said, then gasped.

I saw him land behind Orochimaru just as a purple rectangle-like dome protected them. I noticed Orochimaru had a hold of Lord Third while holding a kunai knife to his neck. "Orochimaru-san? No... it can't be. This... This isn't right." I said in disbelief.

I turned my attention back to Isuke. "Isuke, what are you doing? Stop this now!" I ordered him. He didn't respond as he just glared at me. Why isn't he listening to me?  "Miu, get away from here." Lord Third ordered. I ignored him and took a small step forward.

"Orochimaru-san. Why? Why would you do this?" I asked. "Oh, my poor Miu. If only you'd understand." Orochimaru said. "Understand what?" I said, taking another step forward. When I did, Isuke took a step forward too.

"Isuke, please. It's me. Miu. I'm your friend, remember?" I said. All Isuke did was frown at me as his eyes glowed red. "Please, you must remember me, Isuke. Please remember me," I took another step forward.

"I already lost my parents. Please, don't let me lose you too." I begged. "Why won't you answer me! Please, snap out of it, Isuke!" I shouted desperately. Isuke just stared at me with a frown. "Please... Isuke. Please come back. You and Sasori are the only family I have left." I pleaded.

"Miu," Sasori appeared behind me. "What did I say? I told you to-!"

"Just shut up, Sasori! Let me handle this!" I snapped. Sasori was taken aback from my tone and took a small step back. "Please, I want to get him back on my own," I looked towards Isuke with a sad smile. "It's funny, y'know? All this time, I thought I was alone and had no one. But that changed when I met you, Isuke." I said, taking small steps forward.

"I thought my life was over. First, I lost my parents. Then, I lost my house. I thought I had nothing left. But you changed that. You made me feel that I wasn't alone anymore. Then, my life was getting better when I found out I had a cousin. You and Sasori were the only ones who understood my pain, my misery. Please come back, Isuke. I... I love you." I confessed, smiling gently as tears began to fall down my cheeks.

I didn't want to lose Isuke. I want him by my side again, just like how he was by my side. Isuke's frown softened as he looked at me. He grunted and gripped his head again. "Prin... cess." He managed to say. "Isuke!" I said, hoping he snapped out of it.

I gasped as a pink wave surrounded him. Isuke fell to his knees as he screamed, his eyes squeezed shut. Was he in pain? "Shut up... Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" Isuke yelled as he held his head. "It appears Isuke can't handle the curse mark as well as I thought." Orochimaru said with a smirk.

"Curse mark?" Sasori repeated. "But when? How?" I asked. I gasped when I thought back to our training session a few weeks back. Isuke and I took a break and we took a small nap in the field. Sasori went away for a bit to get new weapons for his puppets.

While I was asleep, I felt someone else with us, but I didn't know it was Orochimaru. "You're doing this to Isuke?" I asked Orochimaru. "Indeed. Up until now, I've been watching you through Isuke's eyes." Orochimaru explained.

I slowly shook my head in disbelief. "No... You're lying. You're lying! You're lying! You're lying!" I screamed. "Am I, Miu?" He said with a smirk. "Give him back! Give him back to me! Return Isuke, Orochimaru! Stop hurting him!" I ordered.

I attempted to punch the shield that was protecting them until Sasori stopped me. "Miu, don't touch that! You'll burst into flames if any part of your body touches that shield." He warned. I looked back at Isuke. "Isuke..." I whispered as he continued to scream in pain.

"Orochimaru, what did you promise Miu? How do you even know her?" Lord Third demanded. "I've known Miu for a long time. I promised her something that you could never offer the poor girl." He replied. I looked at Isuke as he continued to grunt.

I frowned slightly and pushed Sasori away. "Miu, what are you-!"

"He should remember me, right?" I asked, my bangs covering my eyes. "What?" Sasori asked. "You told me, if I hugged someone from our family, they're sure to remember me. You said that, right?" I asked.

(Flashback)

"Sasori?" I asked. He hummed in response as he fixed his puppet. "Are you my only family member?" I asked. "I doubt it. Actually, now that I think about it, you do have a grandmother." Sasori said as he worked on his puppets. "I have a grandmother?" I repeated.

"Yes. Granny Chiyo. She's my grandmother too. She also helped me how to make and control my own puppets." He explained. "That's amazing." I said with a smile.

"Ne, Sasori."

"Hmm?"

"Do you think Granny Chiyo would recognize me when I meet her in person?"

"She should. You are her granddaughter, after all."

"But how will she recognize me?"

Sasori paused and thought for a second. "If you hug her..." I looked at him, interested in what he had to say. "Maybe if you hug her, she'll recognize you." Sasori said. "Are you sure?" I asked. "Yeah. It might work with any family member. That's how they are." He said.

I smiled and gave a small nod. "Let's get back to work. You still have a lot to learn, Miu." Sasori  said as he added the finishing touches on his puppet. "Hai."

(End of Flashback)

"You said it could work, right?" I said as I glanced back at him. "Are you insane? Isuke might kill you! Don't do it, Miu!" Sasori said. I ignored him and began to walk towards Isuke. I used my mind to penetrate through the shield and approached Isuke.

Orochimaru's eyes widened in shock when I broke through his defense. The pink wave blast towards me, making the ribbon that was holding my hair back to fly off. When I got close to Isuke, I fell to my knees and wrapped my arms around his neck, hugging him.

I closed my eyes as I hugged him. "Please come back to me, Isuke." I whispered. I felt Isuke's body relax a little. "Princess," I heard Isuke whisper. I gasped and opened my eyes before glancing at him. "Isuke." I whispered as I hugged him tighter.

As Isuke relaxed, the pink, mist-like wave faded. I pulled away and looked at Isuke. "Princess," Isuke repeated with a small smile. His eyes were back to their original, pink color. I gently placed my hand on the right side of his cheek as a tear threatened to escape my eye.

Isuke closed his eyes as he placed his hand over mine before reopening his eyes to look at me. "Princess, I lov- Argh!" Isuke's sentence was cut off when he cried out slightly. My eyes widened when he burst into small, pink dust, gently floating into the air.

My hand fell to my side as a kunai knife fell to the ground. It didn't take me long to realize it was thrown to Isuke's back. "Aww, did your precious Isuke disappear? What a shame." Orochimaru said with a chuckle. My eyes widened even more as tears ran down my cheeks. That's it. I can't do it. I just can't do it anymore. I'm just so goddamn tired of all of it. I'm just so... tired.
