Sasuke's POV

It's been three hours since Miu's been in the hospital. No one would tell me anything. I didn't know what to do. "Sasuke," I looked up as Kakashi stood in front of me. "I heard about what happened to Miu. I'm sorry." He said, placing his hand on my shoulder.

I lowered my head. "I should've been there with her. I should've stopped those guys from hurting her." I said as I covered my face with my hands. "It's all my fault. All of it." I said. "No, it's not. You didn't know."

"No, but I should've been there. I should've followed her." I said. A nurse came over to us after I said that. "How is she?" I asked as I quickly stood up. She was hesitant to speak. "How is she?!" I repeated. "Sasuke," Kakashi put his hand on my shoulder.

"Miu is in a coma," The nurse said. My eyes widened. "Her skull is fractured and three of her ribs are broken. She has a broken arm, a twisted ankle, and her eye is swollen shut. Does Miu have any enemies?" The nurse asked.

"Not that I know of." I said. "Why do you ask?" Kakashi questioned. "Because her eye shouldn't be swollen from a fall. Someone tried to beat her to death." She said. My hands balled into tight fists. "Can I see her?" I asked.

She nodded her head and lead me and Kakashi to her room. I saw Miu lying in bed with an oxygen mask over her mouth and nose. Her head was wrapped in a bandage as her arm was in a cast. The monitor next to her beeped continuously.

"She's stable, but I'm afraid the condition she's in, she won't last much longer." The nurse informed. I ran out of the room. "Sasuke!" Kakashi called after me. I ran towards the training grounds and charged my Chidori.

I screamed as I destroyed a tree and a few more. I was angry. No, I was pissed off. I'm going to kill them. I'm going to kill those guys who hurt her. I'm going to kill them all.

3rd Person's POV

Isuke was curled up by Miu's side, tears spilling over his cheeks. His Princess was injured and he believed it was his fault. "Princess... Gomen. Gomen, gomen... Gomen!" Isuke apologized. He froze in place when Tsunade walked in.

Luckily, Tsunade couldn't see him. "Shizune, where does Miu live?" Tsunade asked. "Well, she's living with Sasuke Uchiha at the moment. Her house burned down and the Third Hokage had workers constructing her a new house. It's almost done actually. It will take about three months until it's finished." Shizune answered.

Tsunade rested a hand over Miu's forehead as her hand started to turn green; She was healing Miu's fractured skull.

When Miu's skull was healed, Tsunade removed her hand from her head. "Find the boys who beat her up. I want to have a long talk with them." Tsunade said in a low voice. She was angry that a innocent girl like Miu would end up like this.

No child should suffer this much. When Tsunade left, Isuke went near Miu's head.

"Princess, if you can hear me, I'm so, so sorry. I was meant to be your guardian and I've failed to do my duty. I'm at fault. When you wake up, I wish for you to punish me. I deserve a proper punishment for failing my duty as your guardian. Once you've awoken, I'm going to make it up to you and make things right. I promise. And this time, this promise shall not be broken or mislead." Isuke said through mind communication.

He hoped Miu heard him well.

As time passed, Miu's friends visited her and left her Get Well Soon cards and flowers. Even Sakura left roses near her bedside. She felt awful that Miu was in condition and felt guilty of the way she's even treating her. Hinata left her a stuffed animal because she knew how much Miu loved them.

When nightfall arrived, the half moon shined down through Miu's window. Isuke was still by Miu's side, refusing to leave her. "My Princess... Please wake up soon." Isuke begged as he stayed curled up near her side.

The next day, Sasuke was in Miu's room, gently grasping her hand. Sasuke couldn't help but let a few tears escape his eyes as he saw his beloved like this. "Miu... I'm so sorry this had to happen. I'm so sorry." Sasuke whispered.

He spent the whole day by Miu's beside, not leaving to go eat. He couldn't eat becasue he didn't want to leave Miu's side.

"Sir, visiting hours are over." The nurse said as he walked in the room. Sasuke gave a nod, saying he understood. He kissed Miu's forehead, then left the hospital. As he was walking home, he gazed at the Hokage Mountain, remembering someone mentioned that Miu had jumped from there.

Sasuke went to the Hokage Mountain and stood at the spot where Miu stood when she jumped. He stood there for a while until he spotted a journal. Miu's journal. He picked it up and opened it. 'Why did she have it up here?' Sasuke thought.

Did Miu plan on jumping off the cliff with this? If so, she must've have accidentally dropped it when she fell. He opened the journal and noticed there were journal entries on the inside. He began to read it.

Day 1

My parents left me today. My mother was convinced I was a demon. It hurt me. But I'm okay because Daddy told me to smile through pain. So today, I'm going to try that. Wish me luck.

Sasuke flipped to the next page and read it.

Day 2

I tried smiling through pain today, but I failed miserably. My classmates beat me up today. I don't know why, but they said it was fun and planned to beat me up again tomorrow. Should I even go to the academy tomorrow? I don't want to. I'm scared. I think I'll skip and do some shopping. I'm running low on food. I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Sasuke fornwed at the part where it said Miu was beat up. Curious, he flipped to Day 3.

Day 3

My body is sore. I tried skipping class today, but my classmates found me and beat me to the point I blacked out. I woke up and found a puppy licking my face. I wanted to take it home, but I was afraid my classmates would kill it for their entertainment. So, I left the puppy. I'm thinking about running away. But where would I go? I have to leave now. I have to clean my wounds before they get infected. Hopefully tomorrow, things will be different. Bye.

Sasuke skipped over a few pages and read on Day 7.

Day 7

I can't believe my luck. Today, I had so much fun. I met a kind man named Orochimaru. He's really sweet and helped me learn new stuff. He asked me about my bruises, but I wasn't sure if I should tell him. Somehow, he knew my abuse situation. Sadly, he had to leave. I hope to see him again tomorrow.

Sasuke flipped the page.

Day 8

Orochimaru came back today. We played together and had lunch together. Orochimaru was like a father to me. He even promised me that someday he'll take me away from the Leaf Village. But he said I had to wait until I turned thirteen. That really stinks because I'm 6. I can't wait til I turn thriteen. Someday, I'll be free from the place. Free from the bullying and free from everything. Goodbye.

Sasuke felt really guilty. He had no idea how much pain Miu was in. If he had known, he would have done something to help her.

(Next Day) Tsunade's POV

I frowned at teh four boys who stood in front of my desk. "Do you guys have any idea how much trouble you're in?" I demanded. "Hey, we didn't do anything wrong!" Mark said. "So, you didn't beat up an innocent girl who did nothing to you?!" I yelled at them.

"Lady Tsunade, please calm yourself." Shizune said. I frowned. "OK, so what? We beat her up! But that girl deserved it! She should've known her place!" Jun said. "And what was her place?" I demanded.

"Knowing when to cry like a baby. It was hilarious. You should've seen her face. The way she was begging to stop hurting her. Man, you should've seen the way she cried her eyes out." Kai said.

I gritted my teeth and punched the desk, breaking it in two. "Since the four of you enjoy beating up girls, all of you are going to be spend three months in Leaf Village Juvenile Detention. Actually, I think I'll make it five months." I said.

"What?! You can't do that! Our parents will kill us!" Jun yelled. "It's called crime and punishment. And you should've thought about that before you decided to beat up Miu Shimizu." I said.

Iruka took the boys away. I didn't know how long until Miu wakes up. I just hope it's soon. No child should have to go through that much suffering.
