In Love

It's been a few days and Itachi and Sasori have been training me to be stronger and to control my powers. So far, they told me that I catch on quickly and my skills were improving quickly. Almost too fast.

That was getting me worried because I wasn't supposed to be improving this quickly. Right now, Itachi and I were fighting each other, using everything we've got. I activated my wings and flew towards the ceiling so I dodged the kunai knives Itachi threw at me.

Itachi threw shuriken at me this time and I used my telekinetic powers to stop them. I made them burst into dust, then quickly did some hand signs. "Ninja Art: Flower Dance!" Small pink flower petals darted towards Itachi.

The petals were sharp like a kunai knife, so I was hoping it would do Itachi some damage. But Itachi, being the skilled and smart ninja he was, managed to dodge all the flower petals. I noticed his Sharingan was activated.

"I should've known." I mumbled to myself. I threw a smoke bomb to the ground, then swooped down to Itachi, preparing to attack him. "That's enough for now." Sasori said at the last moment.

I stopped in my tracks with a kunai knife near Itachi's throat while he had a knife near my throat as well. "Good thing I stopped you two just in time. It looked like you two were going for the kill." Sasori mentioned as Isuke was on his shoulder.

My wings disappeared, allowing me to hop on the floor. "You're an excellent fighter, Miu." Itachi commented. "So are you. I don't think anyone can beat you if they fought against you." I said, smiling. "Thank you." He smiled back.

"All right, enough with the compliments. We need to get you back to the Leaf Village before your friends think you got kidnapped or something." Sasori said. "Right. I hope we get to fight each other again, Itachi." I said, giving a bow.

"I wish the same." Itachi said back, bowing as well. "Let's go already. I don't like to be kept waiting." Sasori said impatiently. "Right. Sorry, Sasori." I said, jogging over to him. Isuke hopped off his shoulder and onto mine.

"Let's go. I want to get there before the sun sets." Sasori said. I gave a nod and followed him out the base.

After walking for a few hours, we were approaching the Leaf Village border. "This is about as far as I can take you. Use your wings to fly the rest of the way." Sasori advised. "Right. Ready, Isuke?" I asked him.

"Whenever you are, Princess." Isuke replied. "Okay, hold on tight." I activated my wings and dashed into the air. "You're getting better and better when using these wings, Princess. I'm very proud of you." Isuke praised.

I let out a soft giggled and flew towards the hospital to pay Sasuke a visit. When I spotted the hospital, I flew behind the building and made my wings disappear, jumping to the ground. I walked inside the hospital and towards the front desk.

"Excuse me, I'm looking for Sasuke Uchiha's room. Do you know where I can find it?" I asked the lady at the front desk. She smiled at me and told me the room number. I walked down the hallway until I reached Sasuke's room.

When I opened the door, I couldn't believe my eyes. Sasuke was awake and well. "Sasuke!" Sakura cheered, hugging him by the neck. I felt a sting of jealously stab my heart when she hugged him. I quickly left the room.

"Are you all right, Princess?" Isuke asked. "Yes, I'm fine." I confirmed. I walked down the hall, heading to Kakashi's room. "Kakashi, may I come in?" I asked, opening the door slightly. "Miu. Hey, there. Come on in." Kakashi said.

I let myself in and approached him. "How have you been?" He asked me. "Good. Sasuke's awake and he seems to be doing well. How are you feeling?" I asked him. "If you want the truth, I've been better." Kakashi said with a small chuckle.

I felt a little anxious to tell Kakashi about Sasori and the Akatsuki. But I didn't want to because he might get the wrong idea. "Kakashi, I... I feel like I need to tell you this. But I fear if I do, I'll get in trouble and... well, I don't know what might happen. But-"

Kakashi placed his hand on my head, petting it. "You don't have to tell me right now, Miu. You can tell me when you're ready. The choice is up to you." Kakashi said, smiling. I smiled back gently. "Thank you, Sensei." I said.

I left his room and walked down the hall to check on Sasuke until I heard soft singing. I stopped and turned around. "Hello?" I called. There was no one there. So, where did the singing come from? I decided to ignore it and kept walking.

When I got to Sasuke's room, Naruto and Sakura had left. "How are you feeling?" I asked Sasuke. "Better, thanks to that woman." He said. I smiled. "I'm glad." I replied. I sat down beside him. I didn't realize that he resembled a lot of Itachi until now.

"Miu, I want to know something." Sasuke said. "Sure." I said. "Your cousin, Sasori. Who was he talking about when he mentioned someone named Isuke?" He asked. My heart jumped when he mentioned Sasori and Isuke.

I definitely wasn't prepared for that question. "It's okay, Princess. You can tell him. It's better he knows now or he'll keep bugging you about it later." Isuke said. I took his advice and came out with it. "Isuke is my guardian. Well, he's my friend, someone who I created." I said.

Right when I said that, Isuke appeared. "This is him." I told him. "Good evening, Sasuke Uchiha." Isuke greeted. "To be honest, I never expected you to be some kind of creature." Sasuke admitted.

"You're surprisingly taking this well." I said. "Well, how'd you expect me to react?" Sasuke asked.

"Well, I kind of expected you to freak out, or get nervous about being around me."

"Hey, you're a mind reader. Weird stuff are going to happen, so I should get used to it."

"I don't know whether to take that as an insult or to be offended."

"I didn't mean it to make it sound like that."

"Hey!"

Sasuke grabbed my wrist and pulled me onto the hospital bed so both of us were lying down. "You're my girlfriend, Miu. So, I don't care what happens. Just as long as I have you, I'm happy." Sasuke said before kissing my cheek.

I smiled and rested my head on his chest. "I love you, Miu." Sasuke said, holding me close to him. "I love you, too, Sasuke." I said back, smiling. Sasuke gently grapsed my hand and kissed my knuckles, making me blush.

(The Next Day)

"A mission already?!" Naruto complained. "I don't think it's that bad." I said to him. Squad 7 was just informed that we're going to be sent to a small town to help some folks. I was actually quite surprised though. Because I didn't think we were gonna get a mission this early.

So, the five of us, me, Sasuke, Sakura, Naruto, and Kakashi, were in front of the new Hokage, Lady Tsunade. We were assigned a B-rank mission. Our mission was to go to a town called Shinaku. There's been many people disappearing late at night.

Some people from that town said that they had been put on a curse for refusing to help a little girl in need twenty years ago. So the five of us, me, Sasuke, Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi, were off to our destination.

"You seem quieter than usual today, Princess. Is something troubling you?" Isuke asked as he walked beside me. I didn't respond as I continued to walk forward. I couldn't sleep well last night. I heard someone's singing, but the strange part is it was coming from inside the house.

But there was no one inside. It was just me, Sasuke, and Isuke. The singing wasn't terrible or anything. It was actually soft like a lullaby. "Miu." Someone called my name. "Miu!" I blinked before looking at Sasuke, realizing he was the one who was calling me.

"Are you okay?" Sasuke asked.

"I'm fine." I lied. "Are you sure? Because it looks like you're-"

"I said, I'm fine." I stopped walking. "We're here." I informed. Kakashi looked ahead and spotted a town ahead.

"This place looks a little spooky." Naruto said as he hid behind me.

La, la, la, la~

La, la, la, la, la~

"Did you hear that?" I asked Naruto. "Hmm? Hear what?" He asked. "That singing. Someone was singing." I said. "Yeah, right. Get real, Miu." Sakura said. "I'm serious. I heard someone singing just now." I said.

Sasuke narrowed his eyes before looking around. I spotted some people from Shinaku walking around, but I couldn't find the person who was singing. "Let's keep moving." Kakashi suggested as he started to walk forward.

We were inside Shinaku Town, kind of looking for directions. Isuke hopped on my shoulder, making me smile and pet him. "Oi!" I looked down to see a little girl, around the age of seven, tugging on my sleeve. "Are you people from the Leaf Village?" She asked. "Yes, and you are?" Kakashi asked.

"My name's Kiki. Follow!" Kiki took off, heading into a house. The four of us looked at each other before following the little girl. "Mommy! Daddy! We have visitors!" The girl cheered as she ran to two figures sitting on a couch, then hugged the woman's waist.

"Welcome. Judging by your headbands, you're from the Leaf Village." The woman said with a gentle smile. "It's nice to meet you." The man sitting beside her said. "Likewise. Do you mind if we ask you a few questions?" Kakashi asked.

"What about?" The woman asked. "The disappearances in your town. We heard many people have been disappearing at night." Kakashi said. "Disappearances? There hasn't been any." The man said.

"None at all?" Kakashi asked.

"No. None."

"Did Grandma Tsunade make a mistake?" Naruto asked. I shrugged and noticed Kiki was staring at me with a wide smile. I raised a brow in confusion. Why is she so smiley? "Looks like we made a mistake. Sorry for wasting your time. We'll be leaving now." Kakashi said.

"No, don't leave!" Kiki said quickly. "Huh?" All of us asked in unison. "I mean, why do you have to leave now?" She asked. "Well, because we-" Kakashi started until a clap of thunder interrupted him.

"A storm? But it was sunny a few seconds ago." Sakura said. "Oh, my." The woman said. "You guys can't go out there in that storm. Why don't you spend the night here?" The man suggested. "No, we wouldn't want to trouble you." Kakashi said.

"It'd be no trouble at all. Please, stay the night." The woman insisted. Kakashi shrugged and gave in. "Yay! Stay the night! Stay the night!" Kiki sang, skipping around the room. I smiled. She seemed really happy.

Later that day, Kiki's parents cooked us dinner. When dinner was ready, they set the plates on the table. "Wow, this looks amazing!" Naruto commented. I think I saw him drooling. "Thank you. That means a lot to me." Kiki's mom said with a small bow.

"Kiki wants to sit next to Miu onee-chan!" Kiki said. I looked at her. "How do you know my name?" I asked. "Uh... Kiki guessed!" She said playfully. I tried reading her mind, but I got nothing. Were my powers starting to fade? Or maybe I'm not concentrating hard enough?

I didn't mind that Kiki was calling me 'onee-chan'. "I can't believe the storm hasn't eased up a little." Sakura said. I stared down at my food nervously. I was kind of afraid of thunderstorms. I jumped, startled, when lightning clashed near the window.

"You okay?" Sasuke asked me. "Not really. I'm scared of thunderstorms." I confessed as I fed most of my food to Isuke. He ate it happily, which told me he was enjoying the food. I blushed when Sasuke wrapped his arm around my waist.

"You'll be fine. After all, I'm here." Sasuke said, smiling. I smiled back and kissed his cheek. Though, I felt a little uncomfortable since Kiki was staring at us with a frown. Why was she upset?

After dinner, Kiki's parents had us sleep in two guests bedrooms; Kakashi, Sasuke, Naruto in one room and Sakura and I in the other. "Kiki brought Miu onee-chan new clothes!" Kiki said, handing me a pair of robes.

"Thank you. That's so nice of you." I said with a gentle smile. Kiki grinned before running down the hall and turning the corner. "I want a room with Miu." Sasuke said casually. I blushed.

"Sasuke, I know you're close to Miu, but I think I'd be more comfortable if you slept in the same room with Naruto and I." Kakashi said. "Why? I'm not gonna do anything to her. Well, she is my girlfriend, so I'm entitled." Sasuke said as he wrapped his arms around me from behind.

His chin rested on my shoulder as my face was very red. How is Sasuke saying this with a straight face? Well, he's an Uchiha, so I guess he has that confidence in him. I guess you could say Sasuke was in love.

"Sasuke, you're not sleeping in the same room with Miu, and that's that." Kakashi said. "Tch." Sasuke muttered as he let go of me. "I'll be right next door if you need me." He said to me. "Thanks, Sasuke." I replied with a small smile.

He pecked my lips before heading with Kakashi and Naruto to thier room. I blushed as I gently touched my lips. Sakura scoffed as she went to her side of the room. I sighed and changed into the robes Kiki gave me, preparing for bed.

"Oi!" I looked at the doorway where Kiki stood.

"Kiki wants to sleep with Miu onee-chan!" She announced. "Huh?" Sakura asked. "Kiki is sleeping with Miu onee-chan tonight!" She pointed at Sakura. "Leave now, mean lady!" She said. "HUH?!" I could tell Sakura was getting angry.

"Kiki," Kiki's mother came in the room. "I'm sorry about Kiki. She just loves it when guests stay at our house." She apologized. "It's not trouble at all." I said, trying to keep Kiki out of trouble. "Kiki wants to sleep with Miu!" Kiki started throwing a tantrum.

"I'm terribly sorry. Please, have a nice rest." Kiki's mom scooped her up and left, closing the door. "Wow, she must really like you." Isuke said. I nodded in agreement. "Man, it's raining like cats and dogs out there. I just hope the streets aren't flooded." Sakura said.

"Me, too." I agreed in a quiet voice. I turned out the light and Sakura and I went to bed. Isuke yawned and stretched before curling up beside me. I smiled and petted him one more time before falling asleep.

I woke up late in the middle of the night, feeling uneasy. I got out of bed and slid open the back door before sitting down on the deck. "Ne!" I looked over to my right, spotting Kiki. "I'm sorry. Did I wake you?" I asked.

Kiki shook her head. "Why are you up late?" She asked as she walked over to me, then sat down. "I couldn't sleep. I keep hearing this soft lullaby. But there's no one around singing it. It's weird." I said.

She hummed as she looked up towards the sky, staring at the half moon. "Miu onee-chan, why do you have a scar on your head?" Kiki asked out of the blue. I quickly tried covering the scar with my hair. "I know. It's horrible." I murmured.

"Kiki doesn't think so. But it looks like it hurts. How'd you get it?" She asked. "Well... This happened a long time ago." I answered. "Kiki wants to know if she can have your wooden mannequin." Kiki said. I held Sasori's wooden mannequin in my right hand.

"I'm sorry, but I can't give this to you."

"Give it to me."

"I can't."

"Gimme."

"No."

"Gimme."

"No."

"....Why not?"

I looked at the mannequin as Sasori came into my mind. "Because a very special person gave this to me." I said. I felt myself about to cry. "Crying shows what you've been through, so it's okay to cry." Sasori's words rang in my ears.

I covered my face as I started to cry silently so I wouldn't wake Sakura. "There, there, Miu onee-chan. Kiki will make it better. Kiki will make it all go away." Kiki said.

3rd Person's POV

Miu eventually went back to sleep that night. But little did she know that Kiki smirked when she said she'll make it go away. But make what go away?

Everyone was asleep as the thunderstorm continued. Until later that night, Miu woke up in the middle of the night again, her eyes dazed. She got out of bed and exited the house as her team was unware that she had left.

Miu had turned off her mind communication with Isuke so he wouldn't know that she had left. She walked through the small town, her mind blank. Ignoring the heavy rain, Miu walked through the woods, disappearing within the shadows.

 Where was Miu going???

Find out in the next chapter ;) I'll be sure to update tomorrow.
