Confessions
Naruto's POV
After I got Gaara to calm down, his siblings took him back to his home. I wonder where Miu went? The attack of Orochimaru died down. But why do I still hear screaming and destruction? I decided to head back tot he village and find out what was going on.
But when I got to the village, I didn't expect to see a dragon. "Whoa." I said as I stared at the dragon. I looked to my side and saw Sasuke staring at the dragon as well. "Sasuke, are you seeing this?" I called to him.
"Of course, I'm seeing this, you idiot." He said. "Oh, man! Where's Miu-chan? I need to go find her!" I said in a panic. "Naruto, that... that is Miu." Sasuke said. "Say what?" I looked at the dragon as it let out a roar.
"That thing... is Miu-chan?" I asked. "What should we do, Sasori?" Sasuke asked the red haired man. "There's nothing we can do. We're all done for." He said. The dragon let out another roar before breathing out a fireball towards the village.
"No! There has to be something that we can do! We just can't give up!" I said. Sasuke stared at the dragon as it stood on the Hokage Mountain. It roared again, but this time, it sounded more like a cry of pain.
I saw a few ANBU Black Ops throwing boulders at the dragon. "You all want to hurt me to?!" The dragon yelled. It sounded just like Miu! The dragon breathed a huge fireball at them, burning them alive.
"Miu-chan... why?" I asked. "There's no point in saving her now. It's just... pointless." Sasuke said. "What are you saying?! We can't give up on Miu-chan! She's our friend and our teammate!" I snapped at him.
"Naruto, wake up! She's not herself anymore! There's nothing we can do for her!" Sasuke snapped back. "You're angry." The man known as Sasori said. "What?" Sasuke demanded. "You're only saying that because you're angry about what Miu said to you." Sasori said.
Sasuke frowned at him. What did Miu say to him that makes him want to give up on her? "She was lying." Sasori said out of boredom. "What?" Sasuke asked.
"When Miu said she hated you. She was lying then. I know because I saw the look in her eyes. She doesn't hate you, Sasuke. She's just hurt and she's letting all that anger out. Trust me, I think she might have feelings for you and she doesn't want to admit it." Sasori explained.
"How do you know that?" Sasuke questioned. "Because I'm her cousin. I know her best, other than Isuke." He said. "Say what?! Miu-chan has a cousin?!" I shouted, my jaw dropping. "Is he always this loud?" Sasori asked, annoyed.
"You have no idea." Sasuke replied. I frowned and was about to object until another roar was released from the dragon's mouth. What are we gonna do? "I think I have an idea. But I need to get as close to Miu as possible." Sasuke said.
"Are you sure you know what you're doing, kid?" Sasori asked. "Yeah, I'm sure." Sasuke replied with confidence. I blinked in confusion. "Die!" Seven silver-like stakes darted at us until Sasori quickly used his puppet to block them.
All seven stakes turned into young women and frowned at us. "We won't let you interfere with Lady Miu's plans," One of them said. "Kill them!" They all turned into silver stakes again and darted at us.
Sasori used a his puppet again to shield them off. "Sasuke, get up there and stop Miu! Hurry!" Sasori called. "You better not hurt her, Sasuke!" I added. "I won't!" He called back. Just hang in there, Miu-chan. We're going to save you.
Miu's POV (Inside the Dragon)
"Miu, please stop this." I turned my head slightly, seeing Haku. "Why are you here?" I demanded coldly. "I wanted to check on you. But it appears I've come at a bad time." Haku said. "You're not real. You're only a memory inside my head. Besides..."
I began to tremble with sadness, not wanting to finish the rest of my sentence. "You're dead."
"That may be true, but I'm still here, Miu. In here." Haku said as he placed his hand over his heart. I shook my head. "It doesn't matter anymore. You're gone, and I can never get you back." I said as tears left my eyes.
"I can't get anyone back. Not you, not my Mom and Dad, not even Isuke. I won't get anyone back because they were taken from me." I said as I pressed my hands to my face. As I was crying, I felt Haku embrace me from behind.
"I understand your pain, Miu, but you can't hold onto grudges. The pain will only get worse from there. You need to let go." He said softly. "I can't! I just can't! It all hurts! No matter what I do, the pain keeps coming back!" I said.
"Miu, please. Don't you see what you're doing? You're hurting people who haven't done anything to you. You have to stop this, Miu. Let go." He said softly.
"I can't!"
"You can. You just don't want to."
"I can't!"
"You can."
"I CAN'T!!"
Haku's hug became for firm as he rested his forehead on my shoulder. "Let go, Miu. End this. I know you can." He said gently. My hands gently placed themselves on Haku's arms as I lowered my head.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Lord Hokage, Sasori, Isuke, Naruto... Sasuke... I'm sorry."
Sasuke's POV
I leaped off crumbled houses as I made my way towards the dragon, a.k.a., Miu. I used my wire to wrap around one of the dragon's horns and hoisted myself towards it. Once I was on, I managed to hold on. But I didn't expect the skin to be slippery and I ended up sliding down.
"Shit!" I grabbed onto the skin again, just above the dragon's eye. I used my wires again to attach it to the skin and hang onto the wire. The dragon noticed me and frowned. "Don't give me that look. I know you're in there, Miu. Come out. I just wanna talk to you." I said.
The dragon's eye glowed a gold color before Miu stepped out of the eye, revealing her original self; Pink hair with her matching pink eyes, but with the same clothes she had one when she was in her other form.
Her hair gently floated in the air, like she was an angel. "Miu..." I said gently. "You finally came." Miu said as her hands were behind her back. "Well, I still have to tease you some more." I joked. Miu gazed lowered a bit with a small frown.
"I see." Miu murmured. "I'm only joking!" I said quickly.
"Miu, listen. Whenever you're in trouble, I'll rush to your side. Always have... and always will." I said.
"Uso."
"I'm not lying!" I said, a little too persistently.
"Listen, I'm sorry about what happened to your friend, Isuke." I apologized. "No, it's okay," Miu shook her head with a sad smile. "He really did recognize me when I hugged him." She said softly. "Really?" I asked with small smile.
"Just like Sasori said." Miu said, looking at me. "You have a smart cousin there," I mentioned. Miu gave a gentle, closed eye smile. "Miu, this time, I'll make sure no one hurts you. No matter what, I will protect you." I said as her smile grew a bit bigger.
"I always want to be with you." I said, smiling gently. "Uso." Miu said with a small frown. "I'm not lying. Look at my eyes. Does it look like I'm lying?" I stared at her with a serious look on my face. Miu stared into my eyes, trying to read me.
I continued to stare back at her, my face still serious. Miu looked like she was about to cry until I smiled at her, telling her it was going to be okay. Then, I kissed her. Miu's eyes widened in shock until they slowly closed, kissing me back.
I closed my eyes as I kissed her. I felt Miu's hands gently place themselves on my cheeks, slightly deepening the kiss, before pulling away, her hands sliding away from my face. I opened my eyes, seeing Miu being pulled back towards the dragon's eye.
"Arigato, Sasuke..." Miu said softly as she disappeared within the eye.
3rd Person POV
Everyone in the village looked towards the dragon on the Hokage Mountain as it began to glow a golden color. Even Naruto, Sasori, and the Seven Sisters were looking at the dragon. The dragon raised its head as it burst into golden dust, gently falling on top of the village.
As the dust was gently scattering across the village, it was also healing the injured citizens of the Leaf Village. Even Iruka, who Miu had hurt, and the people who Miu had killed. When the dust fell on Chi's corpse, it swirled around it, then disappeared, showing that Chi was alive and whole again.
Sasuke had leaped into a tree once the dragon burst. He grunted when he landed on a branch, a bit rougher than he intended to. Sasuke looked towards the sky when a pink, almost shooting star-like, light flew past him, somewhere towards the woods.
When he saw the pink aura around it, he recognized it immediately. "Miu!" Sasuke jumped down from the branch and chased after the pink light. After Sasuke caught up to the pink light, he saw that it laid on the ground as it turned into a person.
Miu Shimizu laid on the ground, unconscious. "Miu!" Sasuke ran over to her and gently lifted her off the ground, and into his lap. "Miu! Miu!" Sasuke said as he lightly shook her. Miu's eyes slowly opened before blinking them a couple times.
Her gaze went to Sasuke, noticing that he was the one who was holding her. "Sasuke..." Miu murmured as she gazed at him. Sasuke embraced her before she could say anything else. "Miu... I love you." Sasuke told her.
Miu's eyes went wide with shock, not expecting him to say something like that. But she wasn't sure if she had heard that right. Miu would have thought Sasuke had the sin of Wrath or Pride. But at this moment, Sasuke has the sin of Lust.
"What... What did you say?" Miu asked, tears swelling up in her eyes. "I said, I love you. I love you, Miu." Sasuke confessed. Sasuke could say it over and over, or maybe a million times. But it wouldn't matter to him. He was in love with Miu Shimizu.
"Love?" Miu repeated. Tears began to spill over her cheeks as she hesitantly wrapped her arms around Sasuke. She buried her face in his shoulder as she began to cry softly. "It's okay, Miu. I'll always be here. I promise." Sasuke said as he gently stroked her hair.
Miu lifted her head slightly as she opened her eyes, spotting something in the distance. The Seven Sisters stared at Miu with a smile. "Lady Miu," Lucifer said gently. They all crossed their arms over their chest diagonally, bowing to her slightly.
"Until we meet again, Lady Miu, let's play again." The all said in sync before fading away. "Sayonara." Miu murmured, saying goodbye to her friends, or herself for that matter. "Miu/Miu-chan!" Naruto and Sasori came running towards them.
"Sasori. Naruto." Miu said. "Are you all right?" Sasori asked. "Hai. We're fine." She said, giving a small nod. "I'm glad you're all right." Naruto said with a grin. "Yeah... I'm happy... you're okay... too..." Miu fell unconscious in Sasuke's arms.
"Miu/Miu-chan!" Naruto and Sasuke said with panic in their voices. Sasori rushed over to his cousin and looked her over. "She only passed out. She'll be fine." Sasori informed. Sasori took Miu from Sasuke's arm and carried her to the infirmary.
Soon after, Naruto and Sasuke was also taken to the hospital so their injuries could be treated. Sasori sat in a chair as he watched over his little cousin. He knew he cousin was strong, but he had no idea he was capable of doing something like this.
A few hours later, Miu awoken from her deep slumber.
Miu's POV
I gazed at the white ceiling as I felt uncomfortable around my surroundings. "I'm glad you're awake. I was beginning to think you were in a coma." I glanced over at Sasori was he was casually leaning against the wall.
"Sasori..." I whispered. "Hey, Miu. How are you feeling?" He asked as he made his way over to me. "I... I don't know." I said, in a daze. I sat up and emotionlessly stared down at the white sheets. "Sasori..." He went over to me and hugged me.
"It's okay, Miu. I'm right here." He said softly. I blinked, realizing Isuke was gone. He was never coming back. "Isuke." I hugged myself as I felt myself beginning to tear up. "It's all my fault. If only I had saved you sooner." I said as tears ran down my cheeks.
"There's no need to cry, Princess. For I am still here." I opened my eyes with a gasp and looked towards the window. "Isuke!"
Isuke hopped down and ran towards me. He jumped in my lap and I hugged him close to my chest. "But how? You were..." I trailed off. "It was all thanks to you, Princess." He said, smiling his usual smile. "Thanks to me?" I repeated in confusion.
"I think what Isuke's trying to say is, it was because of the bond that is linked to you and him, he was able to revive himself." Sasori explained. "Exactly, Sasori of the Red Sand." Isuke smiled at him. I was happy again. I had Isuke, my cousin, Sasori, and I had Sasuke. I love them all and I will never let anything happen to them.
The next day, I wasn't in such a happy mood. I was informed the Hokage died and Sasori left the village, back to his organization. It's my fault. It's my fault the Hokage is dead. I got out of the hospital with Isuke on my shoulder, and met with my team for the funeral.
No one could see him because Isuke wasn't allowing them see him. I stood next to Sasuke as I gazed at a portrait of Lord Third. Lord Hokage, I will never forget the kindness you've showed me over the years, Lord Hokage.
You're always so nice to me. Whenever things got worse for me, you always made me smile. You always found a way to make me smile. I'm sorry, Lord Third. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.... I'm sorry. If it weren't for me, if I hadn't met Orochimaru, you would still be alive.
I closed my eyes and began to rub them as I started to cry. "It's all my fault. None of this would've happened if I had just killed Orochimaru when I had the chance." I murmured to myself. I glanced over at Konohamaru as he cried with Iruka there to comfort him. I'm sorry, Konohamru.
I'm sorry I took your grandfather away from you. I'm sorry for everything. I take full responsibility. I closed my eyes, then looked at the sky as I felt it raining. "Lord Hokage... Forgive me." I whispered. After the funeral, as the sky was clearing, I stared at a random spot through the fence as I thought of Sasori.
I closed my eyes and began to rub them as I started to cry. "It's all my fault. None of this would've happened if I had just killed Orochimaru when I had the chance." I said to myself. I felt a hand gently place itself on the top of my head.
I lifted my head slightly and gasped. I expected it to be Kakashi, but instead, I saw the Third Hokage, but he was a phantom. "Lord Hokage...?" I whispered. He gently smiled at me as he gently petted the top of my head.
I sniffed as I started crying again. "I'm sorry, Sir. I'm sorry. I never meant for you to get killed. I didn't mean what I said earlier. I'm so sorry." I said as I wiped my eyes, trying to stop the tears from falling.
But no matter how many times I tried, new tears would always fall down my cheeks. "I forgive you, Miu." Lord Third said gently. I shook my head. "I don't deserve forgiveness. I deserve to be behind bars, in a jail cell. I don't even deserve to be ninja." I said, sniffling.
The Hokage continued to smile gently at me before wiping a tear away with his thumb.
"It's okay, Miu. It wasn't your fault. It was the curse mark that took over you. But it's okay because I'm happy."
"Happy?"
"Yes, I'm happy because I was able to spend my time with you."
"You were?"
"Yes. Thank you, Miu."
A tear slipped down my cheek, but it was stopped halfway as Lord Hokage gently wiped it away with his thumb. "Farewell." He said softly as he started to move on. My hand gently rested over his hand as it slipped away until he was gone.
"Lord Third." I whispered sadly. "Miu,"
My eyes moved to the side, looking behind me. "Sasuke." I said emotionlessly. "Tell me the truth." He commanded. "About what?" I asked. "About everything." He said with a frown. I read his mind.
He wants to know how I was able to know his next move in our battle and if I knew Orochiamru. "All right. I'll tell you." I said. I wiped my eyes, then turned around to face him. "Sasuke, I have a confession to make." I said.
"A confession?" He repeated. I gave a small nod as my pink bangs covered my eyes. "I... I can read minds." I said softly. Sasuke stared at me with a confused look on his face.
"You can read minds?"
"That's right."
"Prove it. What am I thinking about right now?"
"You're thinking if what I'm saying is true. Now, you're shocked to the fact that I really can read minds."
Sasuke tensed a little. "Are you afraid of me now? It's okay to be afraid of me. I understand." I said. "No. I'm not afraid of you, and don't say I'm lying because I'm not." Sasuke said. I kept my mouth shut because I really was going to say that he was lying.
"Miu, what caused you to transform into... that other form?" He asked. "It was the curse mark. Orochimaru gave it to me for more power." I answered.
"Why did he give you the mark? Did he know you? Did you know him?"
"I did know Orochimaru."
"For how long?"
"Since I was a child. I met him when my parents abandoned me."
"Why would they do that?"
"Because I could read minds. They got so scared, they thought of me as a demon and I was making life worse for them. So, they packed up their stuff and left me. I was alone for a year until Orochimaru found me."
Sasuke stared at me, waiting for me to continue.
"Orochimaru was the first person who understood what I was going through. Every day, I would find the time and go to the woods to meet Orochimaru. He would listen to me and tell me how there was a place for me to get away from everyone at school." I said.
"Including me?" Sasuke asked. I shrugged. "I hardly knew you at the time, so I don't know." I said. "What did Orochimaru promise you?" Sasuke demanded.
"He promised me... that he would take me out of the village and go someplace to where I couldn't get hurt anymore. But now, I regret saying yes, because I realized Lord Third was the one person in this whole village who was nice to me." I said.
"Why would you agree to go with him? Was it to get away from me? From the village?" Sasuke said. I shook my head as I gazed down at the floor. "Then, why?" He repeated. "Because I was tired." I mumbled.
"What?" Sasuke asked. "Because I was tired, Sasuke! Because I was tired getting beaten up 24/7! I was tired having to cry myself to sleep every night because I knew everyday would be the same damn day!" Tears started to leave my eyes as I continued.
"I thought, maybe if I escaped this place with Orochimaru, I would actually be happy for once in my life. I wouldn't have to ask for a hug when I needed one. I wouldn't have to ask to be comforted whenever I felt like committed suicide! But you wouldn't know because you don't know what it's like to be picked on!" I snapped as tears ran down my cheeks, making me press my hands to my eyes.
I gasped and took my hands away from my face when I felt a warm embrace. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry I wasn't there. I won't let that happen to you again. Like I said before. I'm always going to be here for you. I love you, Miu." Sasuke said.
Sasuke's words made me want to cry. He pulled away and placed his hand on my cheek, gently stroking it with his thumb. My heart jumped when he kissed me. My eyes widened at the feel of his lips on mine.
"Wow. Didn't see that coming." Isuke said as he was still rested on my shoulder. My eyes closed as I kissed Sasuke back. He pulled away and smiled at me. I smiled back. "Let's go home." Sasuke said as he held out his hand to me.
I took his hand and we headed back to Sasuke's house. "Is it okay if I take a shower?" I asked him. "Go ahead." He replied with a smile. I went into the bathroom and stripped out of my semi-soaked clothing from the rain.
I turned on the shower and stepped in the tub. "I'm really surprised, Princess." Isuke said as he stood on the bathroom counter. "What about?" I asked. "I never would've thought Sasuke would confess his love to you." He explained.
I gazed at the floor of the tub, thinking to myself. "He was lying, wasn't he?" Isuke said. His voice sounded a bit dark, as if he was displeased if that statement was true. "No... He wasn't lying. I saw the look in his eye. He was telling the truth." I said softly.
When I finished up in the shower, I stepped out of the tub and got dressed in some casual clothes. I had a towel over my head to dry my hair as I stepped out of the bathroom. I didn't see Sasuke anywhere in the room.
"Sasuke?" I called. I found a note on the dresser, reading: "Went to get some food. Be back soon. Love, Sasuke."
I smiled at the note, then looked towards the bed, spotting a small green box with a red ribbon attached to it. A gift from Sasuke? I rested the towel around my neck and picked up the small box.
"Interesting. A small gift from Sasuke." Isuke said as he hopped on my shoulder. "No," Isuke looked at me. "This... isn't from Sasuke." I said. "It's not?" He asked. I shook my head and undid the ribbon on the box.
I took the lid off the box. Inside, were four small, white rabbit figurines holding instruments.
Little figurines? Who would send me this? "Princess, there's a note inside the box." Isuke informed. I placed the figurines next to the box and picked the small note.
It read: "You don't need a weapon to get even with your enemies. All it takes is a little help." I raised a brow at the message until it hit me. This was sent from Orochimaru. He telling me that these little figurines were actually weapons.
But how? What can they do? I read over the message again, then, for some reason, I smirked. A little help, huh? Let's just see what these things can do.
Phew. Sorry for the long chapter.
