New Friends
when mama left i took out a towel and my night clothes so i could take a shower and when i came out i didnt realise someone was in my room its only when i caught a glimpse of a girlfrom the corner of my eye did i turn to see her this girl was stunning she had dark skin with red cheeks and beautiful braided hair along with a heavy chest and slim figure she also had the derrier that i could only wish to have this girl was perfect and when she saw me she smiled at me before saying
"Hello my name is Rena and i am your room mate"
"How do you do? My name is Malaya Mikowski, and I am pleased to meet you."
Rena and I spoke more, and I discovered she was new to Enchantrios and lived in another supernatural area. I reassured her that I was also new here and had only recently learned about Enchantrios and my parents' true nature, as I grew up in the mortal realm. Rena was curious about the mortal realm, so I told her about our parks, ice cream, shops, and malls. I explained that every mortal owns cars and leads lives filled with mundane greed.
Rena mentioned that my description of the mortal realm was quite different from what she had seen on TV. I chuckled and explained that the portrayal of the supernatural on television differs greatly from reality, just as the depiction of mortals on TV often diverges from their true nature. Rena inquired about the differences in watching supernaturals on TV. I asked her if she had ever encountered vampires. She replied affirmatively, describing them as genuinely kind beings. When she questioned why I asked, I explained that mortals often see vampires on TV as bloodthirsty demons. Curious, I asked her what would happen if a vampire stepped into the sun. Without hesitation, she said they would turn to ash, which led me to clarify that, in mortal TV shows, vampires are depicted with sparkling skin.
Rena scoffed at the absurd idea of vampires sparkling in the sun. I explained to her that her assumptions about mortals were just as different as what mortals believed about the supernatural. It seemed to resonate with her, and she smiled, apologizing. I reassured her that it wasn't her fault; it was the TV's portrayal that led her to believe all mortals were good and jolly.
We talked more, and Rena inquired about how mortals perceive witches. Without hesitation, I told her that on mortal TV, witches melted when water was thrown at them and were considered evil and diabolical beings who hex people they despised. I mentioned that werewolves were seen as malevolent, meat-eating beasts, and wendigos as notorious killers, while fairies were depicted as ugly, winged little demons. Then she asked about Frankenstein; I explained that mortals view him as a mindless zombie afraid of fire. Rena cursed and declared that if she ever watched a TV show about mortals again, she wouldn't be naive enough to believe it.
After our serious conversation, Rena and I shifted to discussing boys. She inquired if I had a boyfriend in the mortal world. I confessed that I didn't have any boyfriends and was a virgin. She then asked if I had ever been kissed. I honestly admitted that I hadn't been kissed in the mortal world, where boys only sought me for their own twisted amusement. If not for my cousin Charlie, I would have been dishonored by them. I shared that, although I had never experienced romantic kisses in the mortal world, here in Enchantrios, I had been kissed by two different men and received a rose from a third. Rena nearly choked on her drink and excitedly pressed for the tea and all the juicy details.
I blushed as I recounted to her how the first man was a merman. I had bandaged up after finding him unconscious, half-submerged in the water. When I went to claim my reward, he seized me and planted a fervent kiss on my lips that left me speechless. Then Rena inquired about the second boy, and I described how he materialized while I was dancing in the ballroom of my family's castle, trying to get back into rhythm. I told her that I felt his gaze on me first, then his hand on my bare waist. Rena squealed, begging for more details. I told her that upon his appearance, he was the second most handsome man I had ever seen, with the merman being the first. and how guy number two tenderly lifted my chin with his finger, drawing my lips close to his, and delivered a passionate kiss that resonated to my core. Rena, fanning herself and speaking in a swooning tone, asked about the third boy. I recounted seeing him in the main hall downstairs; as I fled from my cousin, I stumbled over his suitcase, and he caught me before conjuring a red rose and speaking in a language I couldn't comprehend. Then I mentioned the second boy spoke to me in Italian, whilst cradling my face in his hands. Rena squealed with excitement.
"You're such a lucky girl, Mal; three guys are competing for your attention, and two have already kissed you, while a third is attempting to woo you. Geez, I'm jealous of your luck, and I wonder how many more guys will try to woo you."
"Don't be silly, Ren. That was just... well, I don't know what it was. And the kisses, they meant nothing. They probably thought I was gullible and kissed me for their own amusement. Rightfully so, I'm not attractive, and those kisses are probably the only ones I'll ever experience, because lets be honest who would actually want me?"
i began to cry and thats when i felt rena hug me and then she said
"Don't think like that, Mal. Have you looked in the mirror, babe? You're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. I love your golden skin and blonde hair, and your eyes are so captivating that through them, I can see your soul. It's as pure as you are. Those human guys were fools for not seeing the real you, for seeing you only as an object of pleasure. But the guys here have fantastic eyesight; they see you. They see your pure heart and soul, and they kissed you because they felt something for you, babe, not for their own pleasure. You're like a beacon of light among us all. And that boy who gave you the rose, he didn't do it just to mess with your head. He gave you a rose to try and win your affection."
"One thing to understand about supernatural men is that there are two types: those who are flirtatious with the sole intent of seduction, and those who are genuine about their feelings and don't engage in hit-and-run romance or offer flowers merely to toy with emotions. The latter are much more than just seekers of fleeting pleasures. Even those who seek fun are not necessarily bad; they act out of insecurities, and in their actions, they attempt to overcome these insecurities. What I'm trying to convey, Mal, is don't underestimate your worth. If truth be told, you are too valuable for those who don't recognize your worth, and they are the ones at a loss if they don't pursue a relationship with you.
I embraced Rena, expressing my gratitude for having a friend like her. I assured her that her words were etched in my mind and would always be remembered. Afterward, we fell asleep, and it was the most peaceful slumber I had ever experienced away from my parents' home.
