Chapter 19
A/N: For those of you who actually read the actual chapter. I quickly decided to rewrite it. It was pretty crappy. Anyway I hope this one is better. I completely redid it. Now it isn't stupid and sad.
5 Year time pass
Marinette's POV
I was in my car on the way to Paris. I was ecstatic to move back to my home. I got a designing job at Delaney's fashion. It took over the fashion industry just as the Agreste's fell apart. Adrien and I haven't been talking a lot lately. By lately I mean 3 years. I still missed him. I believed that he was still waiting for me. My ring was still securely on my finger. I was coming back for him.
I pulled up to the apartment building and brought all my boxes inside. I began unpacking things for my bedroom. I had a few things already here such as a white desk identical to the one that I had at the bakery, a bed, and bookshelf. I put my sheets and covers on the double bed. I put my sketchbooks and reading books on the bookshelf and my sewing machine on the desk. The floor was carpeted and the walls were white.
I walked into my closet and unboxed my three boxes of clothes. Dresses hung up on the left and everything else on the left. It was close to 7:00 PM so I decided to go out and get dinner.
I walked to a cafe close by. I ordered and got my food and sat down outside. I decided to call Alya. "Hey Alya! I'm finally here. I wish you were too." My best friend was out of town for the month for a family things.
"Me too! I am so excited to see you again! I miss you so much." My phone started buzzing.
"Hold on." I said. "I am getting a text." I put her on hold and tapped on the message. It came from an unknown number, and there weren't words but a picture of two people kissing. They were both blonde but the boy seemed familiar. My phone buzzed again. It was another picture of the two people holding hands but from the front. My eyes immediately darted to the male. Those green eyes. I could spot them from anywhere. Adrien. My phone dropped from my hand. I quickly picked it up so I didn't draw attention. I inspected it further. His body figure, his smile. He looked exactly like Adrien. How did this person get my number? Where did they get these pictures? I shook my head in disbelief. He wouldn't do this to me right? Sure we haven't talked in a while but he would keep our promise right? I walked back home talking to Alya. I didn't tell her not wanting her to worry.
It was late at night now as I entered my apartment. I knew exactly what I wanted to do. "Tikki," I smiled brightly at my kwami. "Spots on!!!" I missed the words I haven't used in 5 years. Red orbs consumed my body and formed my spandex suit. It was exactly the same as before. My hair was longer now causing my ribbons to match its length.
I jumped out the window and immediately felt the cool air touch my face. I swung from building to building just as well as I could before I left. I savored the feeling. I heard people yelling. "It's ladybug!!! She's back!" I waved at them smiling. I landed at my destination, the Effiel Tower. My partner was bound to show up. He had too. I gazed on the City of Love. How I missed looking at the captivating view. I heard movement behind me.
"Ladybug? Is it really you?" I turned around, and there was teary eyed Chat Noir. Tears came to my eyes as well.
I left out a quiet laugh. "Yes, Kitty. It's me, and I am here to stay." Chat ran at me and lifted me off my feet. He let me down and kissed me sweetly.
"You came back." He convinced himself. He smiled and repeated it. "You came back!!!" He laughed and kissed me again. "I missed you so much princess." He embraced me sweetly. I hugged back smiling. This was my Chat. He wouldn't break our promise.
"I missed you too, Chat. I'm never leaving again."
Adrien's POV
I smiled at her words. The love of my life was finally back. The light came back to me. I was miserable without her here but I managed to wait. I spotted the ring on her finger. I kissed it and smirked. "You kept it?" I asked skeptically.
"Of course I did. I have never taken it off." We both sat down at the edge of the tower letting our feet dangle beneath us. A peaceful silence set around us. "So how have you been for the last three years?" She said breaking the silence.
"I have been okay. I feel guilty for not talking to you." I stared at the ground. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay." She said setting her hand on top over hers. "Whatever the reason, it's okay. We are back together now." She sighed happily and then laid her head on my shoulder.
"You're right." I thought to myself. There is no way Marinette would betray me. Earlier I received two pictures of Marinette and another boy. One of them hugging and then holding hands. But now I am positive. That that couldn't have been Marinette. I put my arm around her shoulders
Then resting my head on hers then staring at the wondrous night sky.
A/N: much much better is what I say. For once!!! A chapter that Adrien is very very happy. I am kind of debating if this is the last chapter or not but I don't think it will be. Sorry it is a tad short. Thanks for reading guys. Love you all.
Remember live, love, learn!!!
Signing off, ~Epic❤️
