It was Monday. My first day back at school to be exact. I looked at the time. "Crap! I'm gonna be late on my first day back." I rushed to put my attire on. I put on a regular black t-shirt, blue jeans, and a pair of sneakers which were black and white. I grabbed my jacket on my way out.

I made it to the front door and saw Mari waiting for me. She looked wonderful today. She was wearing that Chat Noir themed outfit that we bought two days ago. She looked on both sides of me. "Uh...Adrien? Where is your backpack?" She pointed out.

I looked at my hands like an idiot and realized I left it in my room. "Darn it," I said face palming. I sprinted back to my room and grabbed my book bag. I met Mari at the door and ran to school together. Guess we both woke up late today. We tried tip-toeing into class but the teacher acknowledged both of us.

"Nice of you to join us, Marinette and Adrien." She turned to me and said, "Glad you could come back."
I sat next to Nino, and Marinette say in her respective seat next to Alya. The lesson was boring as usual, but I tried to pay attention nevertheless. My tutors pushed to teach me everything I need to know for this grade at the beginning him of the year. Everything from here on out was completely review. It didn't take much for me to get a good grades. It was just the projects that took more effort.

The first period was finally over, and we got a 10 minute break. Everyone started staring at me giving me odd looks. It was like everyone was staring down in me. I heard someone whisper,"That guy is such a loser." I heard other things like,"He is jut a puppet." "What is he wearing? That's so ugly." "Poor thing are you lost?" People only liked me when I was famous. I was belittled so much ok just five days. No one even tried to comfort me. Even Chloe didn't try to flirt with me. I was an outcast. Marinette stayed at my side comforting me. I offered her a small smile. It was going to be a long day.

Second period flew by as well. I went straight to my locker getting my books for the next class. The person next to me slammed their locker against me making me fall over on to the person next to me. "What the heck! Loser." He shoved me to the ground and kicked the books I was holding. One thing happened after the other. My books were scattered everywhere. Pages were ripped out of my notebook, and everyone laughed at me as I tried to gather them. I ran out if school into an alley way. I ran my hands threw my hair. I sank to the ground. I few tears hit the concrete. I sat there trying to compose myself. I could mask my feelings then, why not now? The world really was cruel. I imagined this was the beginning. It would probably get worse and worse as time goes on. I dried my tears.

"Adrian!!!" I heard a female voice call.

"Mari! Over here..." I yelled back. I heard her running footsteps on the pavement.

"Oh, thank goodness Adrien. You worried me." She cowered over me. "Are you alright?"

I nodded my head,"I just needed some air and a break." I lied.

"Adrien. It's okay. I saw what happened. They are all just jerks. They don't know how it feels. To loose a parent. Come on, let's go back." She offered her hand, and I took it. I felt the softness and warmth of her hand against mine. I embraced her and stayed like that for a few moments enjoying each other's warmth. We heard the bell ring and broke apart. We ran in together holding hands but as soon as we hit the doors we let go. I missed her touch. I sat through the period doing my homework while the teacher was talking. Thankfully after this period, was lunch.

Soon enough the bell rang, and we all dismissed to lunch. I ran out the door to the cafeteria. I grabbed my lunch on an orange tray and went outside. I didn't want people picking in me at lunch too. I went to the park across the street and ate my lunch peacefully on a picnic table.

I began eating while taking in the nature around me. I saw a lot of parents with their children. It hurt. I was thankful these kids had parents. I heard a voice interrupting my thought. "Adrien. You should have told us that you were going to eat outside." I turned around, and there was Nino, Alya, and Marinette.

"Oh hey guys!" I was glad to see them all. We don't all have the same classes together. We all have home room together but then I only saw Marinette during physics. "Thanks. I'll make sure to tell you all next time." They all sat down.

It felt different. The feeling in the air was tense and nervous. I looked at Alya and Nino. They looked uncomfortable. I excused myself, saying I had to use the bathroom. I went into and alleyway and transformed. I quietly climbed up the nearest tree to spy on them. My cat senses could hear everything they said. I glanced at them a few times. Now that I was gone, they looked more comfortable and natural. Their posture wasn't as stiff and smiles looked less fake. I sneaked my way out of the park and hopped on top of a building. I just looked at them, carefully watching them. I didn't want to disturb whatever they had going on. If I came back, it would be worse. I saw Marinette leave rushing into an alleyway herself. I saw her as Ladybug running towards me. I pretended not to see her and jumped away. I went as fast as possible trying to avoid her. Why did she come over here? She should have stayed with them. Besides I'm not worth it.

I stopped running and confronted her,"Why did you come here?"

"Why did you go away? Don't think I didn't see you in that tree watching us." She asked with her hands on her hips.

"You should have stayed there. Don't worry about me." I turned my back to her.

"Oh Chaton, what's wrong?" She hugged me from behind.

(Bad ending)

Marinette's POV
"I said don't worry about it!"he shrugged me off and attempted to run again. I grabbed his arm.

"Chat. Don't be like this. You have never acted like this before. I love you." I said.

"If you loved me, you wouldn't push me to tell you. If you loved me, you would have let me end it!" He screamed at me. His face was twisted with rage. "If you loved me, you would let me go." He whispered. He ran off, and I couldn't for the life of me stop him. That day I didn't return to school I looked day and night for Chat or Adrien. Almost for a straight week I didn't rest. I went school with bloodshot eyes and large dark circles. I cried every night. Some people said that Chat died. Others said that he ran away.

There hasn't been any akumas for nearly a month now. I still went in patrols, mostly to try to find Chat. I sat on top of the Eiffel Tower scanning the city. I saw a black figure in the distance. I could see his green eyes and blonde hair. I leaped towards him with a smile and tears dropping from my eyes.

"CHAT NOIR!" I yelled.

"Hi ladybug! I'm Chat noir!" I cringed at the sound of his voice. It was high pitched and squeaky. I stopped in my tracks.

"You aren't the Chat I know. I'm sorry." I ran away as fast as I could. My tears stung my cheeks as well as the cold breeze. Once I was far enough away, I began to stalk him. I had to know what happened to him. I need to talk to Plagg. He untransformed, and I took the opportunity to jump down.

"Plagg! Tell me what happened to him! You have to know." The poor boy was terrified. Plagg flew up to me with sad teary eyes.

"I'm sorry, Ladybug. He ran away to kill himself." He nearly choked on his words. "He didn't make it. I'm so sorry." A large tear came out of the the kawmis eye. I collapsed to the ground in agony.

"No. No. Please." I whispered. "I should have never let him go."

I turned around and hugged Ladybug back. "I'm sorry, M'Lady." I didn't cry thankfully. I think I shed enough tears for one day. "I just. I noticed that Alya and Nino are acting weird around me. When I left all the awkwardness dissapeared. So I thought I should disappear for a while. I hate this. Why can't it be normal? I'm still the same Adrien."

"The idea of you being hurt like that shocks them to death. They are just worried about you."

"You really think so?" I asked.

"Yes. Positive. Let's head back. They are probably wondering where we are." She broke the hug but grabbed my hand.

I pulled her hands so she was right in front of me. I looked into her purrfect blue eyes. I quickly pressed my lips to her then released saying,"I love you," and ran off.
