It's really hard to believe that Absolution is over. 

When I started writing Anomaly back in 2020, I didn't believe for a second that I would ever get this far with it. I have a bit of bad habit when it comes to Wattpad, of getting a new story idea and posting it, then not updating it as much as I should. When I started Anomaly, I'd been looking at all the different Gilbert twin fanfictions on Wattpad, and I really wanted to try creating my own. I'd tried in the past, and those books have long been taken down and deleted, but I stuck with Anomaly. 

I stuck with Audrey and completely fell in love with writing her character, and showing how she grew from chapter to chapter. The best friend bond she shares with Caroline, a friendship that is something I'm so glad that I created.  I fell in love with her relationship with Elijah, and the two of them together. The bond and friendship that Audrey shared with all the Mikaelson family. Audrey grew from this girl grieving the loss of her parents, fighting to just survive in this supernatural storm her sister had around her, to finding the family she didn't know was waiting for her. She fell in love with her soulmate, and found the family she didn't know was out there waiting for her. She died so many times, and each time she came back stronger, and embraced her new status when she became a vampire.

She became a mother to Mira, Grace, and Elliot, and in the end, she and Elijah got the happy ending I always wanted for them. I want to say thank you for all the love and support you've shown Anomaly and Absolution, and how invested you all got with Audrey. You dealt with my far from perfect updating schedule, and your comments and the way you enjoyed the stories have meant the world to me. 

While this is goodbye to Audrey, it isn't truly a full goodbye. I'm not done with this series just yet, as I honestly I don't know if I'll ever be able to let go of these characters. However, the next book in this series won't focus on Audrey. Instead, it is going to focus on Mira's life at the Salvatore School, alongside Grace, Elliot, and Hope. I wasn't certain if I was going to write a Legacies spin-off to this series, but after plotting out what I want to do, I'm excited to start writing it. Of course, appearances are going to made by  Audrey and Elijah in this book, they just won't be the main focus of it. 

At some point, I may also post an alternate ending for this story, going through what would have happened if I picked to write season five.

As for a story focus on Audrey, I will at some point be posting the prequel to this series, focusing on Audrey's life in season one of TVD and before that. I will be announcing very soon when both of these stories are going to be published, and I hope that you all read and enjoy them as much as you have Anomaly and Absolution.
