⭐️ 76. Your Witness, Charles ⭐️

Opening statements by Alana McCrary had Charles, Harry, Marcus and Lynn on the edge. It was very clear that she was going to do any and everything for the win. In the court of public opinion Marcus Johnson was already guilty. It was like he couldn't catch a break.

Before the Honorary Judge Harper Hills, she didn't waste any time painting Marcus out to be a savage career criminal.

"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury...I will prove to you that, beyond the shadow of a reasonable doubt, the defendant, Marcus, murdered Bob Grimes in cold blood. I'm not gonna waste your time and draw this out. Tax payer's money depends on it. Marcus is a man that was already incarcerated for allegedly killing his own father with his bare fists during his prom in high school. He has a history of violence."

After she concluded her opening remarks, Charles stood up and casually paced the room.

"Good morning, everyone. I'm Charles, but in a court of law I'm just like a member of the audience or the jury. Misinformed. There are two type of courts: court of public opinion and an actual court of law. One of those courts is irrelevant to this case. Marcus is a man that not only manned up to his error in judgement, but he was exonerated from his first conviction that led to it being overturned. It was proven by coroners that his father committed suicide. So the fact that he allegedly killed his father is false.

"I will prove that Marcus acted in self defense when Bob Grimes was killed, an action that saved Harry's life. That's all, that's it."

Square testified in Marcus's defense. The jury ate it up. Pissed off prosecutors.

A few days later a beautiful trans woman was called to the stand. "Sorry fellas, but Square sent me," said the transwoman.

"Why? We need to talk to him..." said Charles, confused.

Prosecution grinned from ear to ear. "This is gonna be EPILOGUE good! Hope you brought the popcorn."

Turned out the transwoman was a secret key witness for the prosecution. Miss Honey. Prison blues. "Marcus repeatedly assaulted me when we did time together. He sold my body. Abused me."

The jury was in utter shock.

Objection! screamed Charles, jumping up to his feet, enraged.

"Overruled," said Judge Harper.

"He allegedly beat me. Used me. Used his cell as an undecover pimp ring where a lot of inmates had their way with me." Miss Honey wept like the last of a morning's dew burned by the rising sun.

"Marcus never met the transsexual in his life!" Charles interjected. "And why wasn't I informed of this key witness?"

Judge Harper said, "Is this true, Alana?"

"Yes, your Honor. Out of fear, we chose to keep Miss Honey safe in order to ensure her testimony. "

"Granted. Continue, please."

"How long were you in prison?" the Prosecution asked Miss Honey.

"Twenty years."

"What's your sentence?"

"Life without for murder in the first degree."

"How did you and Marcus meet?"

"We met in prison when he beat his own father to death with his fists."

"Objection!" said Charles. "Marcus's father didn't die by said fists."

"Sustained. Jury. You will disregard that statement," ordered Judge Hills.

"Anyway. We were in a relationship," confessed Miss Honey.

Harry couldn't believe his ears. Hoe had to be lying. Some of those trannies were messy asf.

"Your witness, Charles."
