Holding the purse tightly in my hands and playing with my fingers, I could hardly wait for the elevator door to open. I rushed out into the street, making my way through the sea of ​​business people. When I finally got outside, I took a deep breath.

Oxygen slowly reached every cell of mine, filling me with serenity. When I opened my eyes, I saw the well known Rolls Royce Phantom parked in front of me and Jacob standing beside.

'' Good afternoon Miss Ocean. Shall we go? "

Jacob addressed me kindly and opened the car door for me. By the time I settled down comfortably and leaned my head against the glass, Jacob had already started the engine and we sailed through the gray asphalt.

All the way to Kaden, I was breaking my head about what to do. The matter became too complicated as the maze of secrets I hid from him.

I shook my head. I can't. Ian said he would hurt everyone whom I told about him. Kaden is not from the world of the mafia, he would not know how to react adequately, unlike Jaxon.

But. . . should I tell him that Jaxon is my brother. . . again it entails a ton of complicated mafia-related stories. I came to the conclusion that I would simply feel the moment when I think we are both ready for the truth. Stripping ourselves to the bottom.

My mental agitation was interrupted by stopping the car.

"Miss Ocean, we're here."

I stared blankly at Jacob, who had already arrived to open the door for me and reach out to get out of the car.

I just smiled politely at him and accepted his help.

'' Thank you Jacob. Goodbye.''

As I made my way to his house, the front door opened wide and revealed Kaden.

A wide smile that revealed perfectly white teeth and a short beard adorned his divine face. I have never seen him in such a relaxed edition before. He was wearing Nike tracksuits. The black lower part of the tracksuit perfectly accentuated the cream-gold sweatshirt under which the white T-shirt could be seen.

And I knew very well what was hiding under that shirt. Perfectly carved muscles that slide perfectly under my fingers.

Quite unexpectedly, he approached me and wrapped his arms around my waist, lifting me into the air and spinning me. I giggled and hugged him tightly, absorbing his toxic scent.

He dropped me to the floor, nuzzling his head in the crook of my neck.

''I've missed you.''

''I missed you too. More than you can imagine. "

We said not breaking the hug. We intertwined our fingers and headed to the living room. There was a man waiting for us, reclining comfortably in the sofa.

"Ocean, I want you to meet my best friend, Louis."

The sympathetic young guy stood up and wrapped me in his arms.

"Yo girl, I'm glad to finally meet the woman who managed to tame this beast."

I felt my cheeks blushed to farest extent. I looked at the floor, then at Kaden, who formed next to me and put his arm over my shoulders.

If only Louis knew that this whole taming process had actually begun with a contract between the two of us.

At that thought my heart sank a little, even though we made it clear to each other that the contract thing was now behind us. That our further relationship is  regulated  exclusively  by our feelings towards each other.

'' I thought it was a good idea for you to spend some time with people I cared about. That way we'll both relax a little. What do you think?''

I tilted my head up, since he was much taller than me. His eyes shone bright and I could get lost in their glow.

''Of course. I think that's a great idea. "

The truth is that I don't have a lot of friends and that every form of social interaction comes to me as a refreshment. Amber and Nathan were suddenly moved to a branch in another city and since then I haven't had a good casual conversation with someone.

The house keeper brought us a drink and although I was a little restrained at first, I quickly relaxed. Louis is a very charismatic and witty person. Our heated chatter suddenly stopped when Louis looked up and froze.

I narrowed my eyes, wondering at the sudden change in his behavior. Then I turned my head to where his gaze reached.

'' Little sis, come in, make yourself comfortable. I want to introduce you to someone. "

Kaden got up and approached me. My knees went week and I barely gathered the strength to stay on my feet. I swallowed a lump in my throat, not knowing how Aria would react, given our today's meeting at Jackson's office.

The look on her face is what confused me the most. She was visibly surprised to see me. Surprised that Kaden is so close to me, his arm wrapped around my waist. She knew what that meant.

But something else confused me. Her expression was a little frightened.

"I want to introduce you to my girlfriend, Ocean."

I tried to mount a smile, even though I was taken aback and a little scared. Afraid not to say anything to Kaden, on the basis of which he would conclude that Jaxon and I are in a love affair. But her fear also calmed me somewhat. Fear of what?

Hesitantly, I held out my hand as she stood motionless.

"I'm glad we met officially, since we've already seen each other. . . ''

Suddenly her ringing voice quickly interrupted me and her palm merged with mine.

''. . . since we saw each other the day Kaden and I came to a meeting with Jaxon. "

I narrowed my eyes. She didn't want Kaden to know she was with Jaxon today. So she was afraid he would find out. We are currently overlapping each other, creating another layer of lies that can be added to a bunch of mine.

Then we all sat down and started talking. After about fifteen minutes, Aria got up and headed in my direction.

"Kaden, I'd like to take a walk with Ocean in the garden, if that's not a problem."

''Of course.''

Following her acting, I got up without a word and started walking beside her. When we went outside and were at a safe distance from home, so that no one would hear us, she turned to me.

"Listen to me Ocean."

She said grabbing my elbow.

"I don't know what game you're playing, but I won't let you hurt my brother."

Surprised by my tone, she let go of my hand.

"If anyone is playing a game here, it's you. Why didn't you say we saw each other in Jaxon's office today? That way you could tell Kaden what YOU THINK that happened."

She just kept quiet and kept looking at me, so I continued.

''I'm not playing any game. I love your brother. What you think you saw today. . . that's absurd. "

'' Then why did you hug him? Crying for God's sake! "

"Because I found out he was my brother!"

With no intention of admitting it to her, those words simply left my lips. I immediately stuck my hand to my mouth. But in vain, it was too late. What has been said cannot be undone.

Her eyes wide, Aria looked at me and sat down on the bench next to us.

"Brother?"

At her words I only managed to nod my head.

I sat down slowly next to her and took her hand. She was ashamed.

"Everything is fine, Aria, any normal person would suspect something if he saw what you saw. But I wonder why you didn't tell him we saw each other in the office today? "

Suddenly she raised her head and from her crystal blue eyes, a tear flowed.

I looked at her and saw myself. Both she and I hide our relationship with Jaxon from Kaden. I know how he feels. I know her sense of guilt erodes every inch of her being.

'' Don't worry Aria, I know exactly how are you feeling. Kaden persistently wants me to quit my job because he doesn't like Jaxon. And he doesn't know he's my brother. Hey, I just found out too. And I'm terrified that I need to tell him that. "

Aria frowned and raised her eyebrows.

'' He doesn't like Jaxon? But why? He is our business partner. In addition, he is an honest and hard-working person. "

With a smile on our faces, we headed to the house and to hung out with Louis and Kaden. Aria addressed me in a low voice, right before we entered the living room.
