Chapter 4
"She is dead " said someone.
I turned around to look for the owner of the voice.
Hanamiya walked out of the shadows, smirking.
He slid his tongue over his lower lip, " You look pathetic." he stated.
It was him? Father trusted this man with everything he had.
" Why did you do this? " I asked.
" Why, you ask? Well well.. I really didn't want to kill her, I was just interested in the throne. But, would you and your father let me have it just like that? No. Of course you wouldn't. So I decided I would kill her " he pointed towards mother. He sighed.
" You were next on my list. But I didn't plan on killing you today. Now that you're already here, I guess I'll have to finish you too. " he rubbed his fingers over his forehead, as he spoke.
He killed mother just because he wanted to have the throne?
All my pain seemed to fade. All the ache and anguish turned into anger and violence.
It felt like I found my true self. It felt like I could destroy anything that stood in my way.
I slowly let go of mother's body. Yes, she was dead and I could do nothing to bring her back.
I got off her bed, and stood up.
" Ne.. Akashi San? How does it feel to see your mother dead and lifeless? " he laughed.
I closed my eyes without uttering a word. I wanted to kill him. Mother didn't deserve this. I shut my eyes tighter and gritted my teeth and clenched my fist.
I want to kill him! He killed her! I couldn't protect her! If only I stayed back, she would have been alive. Now.. Because of me.....she.... I... I..
My thoughts were ceased. I couldn't think.
The next thing I knew, I was under water. I was sinking deeper. My body felt lighter, and my mind felt empty. What's this feeling?
I couldn't hear anything except for my own breathing. I opened my eyes and my vision was monochrome. My left eye felt different. I felt like a different person. I could feel myself brimming with power. It felt good.
Hanamiya walked towards the door and unlocked it. He smirked at me once, before opening it.
There stood soldiers, butlers and maids. They were many in number. They were all well armed. They held knives and daggers. Two of them had swords and one of them was holding an axe.
Hanamiya turned around to face me. " Time to kill the Prince." he uttered and they charged at me, all at once.
I stood still, I felt so light headed. All I wanted to do right now, was kill and they just made the job easier. They all approached me and I drew out my sword.
I slayed them one after the other. They screamed in pain, which just fueled my desire to kill even more. I felt like a monster. Maybe I was one. So, this is my true potential.
A soldier swung his sword at me and I managed to dodge it with so much ease. I could read his moves. Before he prepared himself to attack me again, I forced my blade through his flesh and pulled it back out. He fell to the floor, dead.
The only person left, was Hanamiya. I looked up at him, as a smirk played on my lips.
Hanamiya's POV :
There was blood everywhere. It was all over the marble floors, the walls, the carpet, the pillars and everywhere.
Akashi slayed mercilessly. He seemed like a different person. There was a strange aura that surrounded him. He moved around at lightening speed that my eyes could barely keep up.
And, his...his eye. It was golden.
I was afraid. I wanted him dead. But, he is way too strong. Where did he get all this strength from?
Seijuro Akashi is a monster.
I widened my eyes in shock as he killed the last one of them, and he looked up at me. He smirked.
He took a step towards me.
I pulled out my sword, held it with both my hands and took a step back. In the next split second, he was right in front of me. I tried to parry with my blade, but he was way too fast.
I felt an excruciating pain, somewhere closer to my diaphragm. I looked into his eyes, and he smirked at me in response. I looked down at my body and I realized that a dagger was buried deep into my body. I pulled it out and threw it aside. I fell to the ground, the pain was unbearable. I brought my legs closer to my stomach and pressed my hands over the freshly formed wound, hoping to lessen the bleeding and the pain.
Akashi walked closer, and looked down at me.
" Rest in peace, Makoto Hanamiya! " he said.
Third Person's POV:
Hanamiya squirmed in pain, while Akashi stood in front of him like a predator in front of its prey.
" Rest in peace, Makoto Hanamiya. " with that being said, Akashi slashed his blade to cut through Hanamiya's neck. Blood splattered over his clothes. Some of it was even sprinkled on his face.
The whole palace fell silent.
A cold breeze made its way in, through the lancet. Akashi's hair swayed, and he closed his eyes. When he opened them up, he was out of his zone.
He took a deep breath, and dropped the sword he was clinging on to. He walked out of the door and leaned against the adjacent wall.
He slid down the palisade, and sank to the floor.
He shut his eyes, and let his body relax.
He wasn't the same Akashi anymore.
