HEATHER WAS BEATING HERSELF UP FOR NOT TAKING EVERY PRECAUTION BUT ASTRID CALMED HER DOWN, TELLING HER THAT SHE WAS IN A VULNERABLE STATE AND NOT TO BLAME HERSELF. Alora was beyond pissed. It was so bad that she didn't even blink an eye when one of the twins flicked her ear (and in the process, broke their pinky finger).
They'd stayed awake until morning and Alora soaked in as much sun as she could, readying herself for a battle.
"Aly!" her boyfriend yelled.
"Yeah?!"
"I think it's time!"
"Time for what?!"
He pointed towards her eyes.
"Y-You're joking right?!" she said, floating down towards him.
"The Dragon Flyers are going to get ugly. We have to get uglier."
The Dragon Riders flew off of Berk only to be stopped by a fleet of Dragon Hunter boats. . . Or so they thought.
"Wait, that's. . ."
"Who's the bushy bearded viking?" Alora asked, using her vision.
"Alvin!"
"Who's the flying girl?!" Alvin asked.
"What brings you to the other side of the Archipelago?" Hiccup asked, landing on his ship.
"Heard old Stoick wasn't feeling his best. Figured you could use the extra hands, if you know what I mean."
Alora saw the other Vikings ready for combat. A sigh of relief left Hiccup as he felt safer knowing his dad was going to be protected.
"But seriously, who are you?" Alvin asked.
Alora smiled and looked at her boyfriend.

As they reached Vanaheim, Alora's face fell as she saw the once beautiful paradise had turned into a war zone. Fire and destruction was everywhere. Alora listened closely, hoping to hear a heartbeat. . .but nothing.
"I found them!" Snotlout yelled.
Alora covered her mouth as she saw the once glorious sentinels lie flat on the sandy beach.
"Aly?" Hiccup asked.
But the Kryptonian shook her head.
"None of them have a heartbeat, nor are they breathing."
Hiccup landed on the floor and looked around, suddenly saw him take out his fire sword. She flew towards him and saw he was going to kill.
"Hiccup, don't!"
He placed the sword in the sand, still giving the Hunter a dirty look.
Alora had dangled him upside down, allowing the Riders to gather all the information they needed.
"We have to stop those Flyers from reaching here," Hiccup said as Alora dropped the Hunter.
Unfortunately, Meatlug wouldn't budge. So Hiccup made the twins stay back with Fishlegs while he, Alora, Astrid, and Snotlout went after the remaining Flyers.
"Looks like they got a head start," Alora said.
"Or they didn't want to go through that terrible storm," Snotlout said.
"Snotlout, you genius!" Hiccup yelled.
"It's about time you noticed."
"Aly!"
The girl sat behind him as he flew towards the storm.
"Are you thinking what I think you're thinking?!" Snotlout said.
"We're going to meet them on the other side," Astrid said.
Mom.
Yes?
You and Dad are crazy, you know that right?
. . . Thank you Kara for your endearing compliment.
*whispers* That's her daughter all right.
She's yours too!
*wince* Right. Super hearing.
Alora tensed up seeing the lighting strike the seafloor.
"You're okay Aly," Hiccup said. "Remember, you're stronger now. A little bit of lighting can't hurt you!"
Hiccup grunted as they fought against the wind. Then, they had reached the end of the fog. They saw the Flyers, and of course Snotlout caused attention to them thus making the Flyers attack them.
"I've had just about enough!" Alora said, flying off of Toothless.
"Go get 'em babe!" Astrid yelled.
"'Babe'?!" Hiccup repeated.
Alora punched her way through and started single-handedly taking out each Flyer, leaving the Singetails untouched.
But suddenly she had lost the upper hand when they started going after her friends.
"Oh no."
And that was how Alora found herself flying through a storm with Flyers on their tail.
"You know, with every decision you've made, I have no doubt that you'll make a great chief one day!" Snotlout sarcastically exclaimed.
"Shut up Stark!" Alora yelled. "He'll be better than you!"
Just as he was going to remark, a lighting bolt shot them out of the sky. Hiccup went after Snotlout while Alora carried Hookfang on her back.
"Over here!" Astrid yelled.
They hid inside a shipwreck for the time being. Alora saw how distressed her boyfriend was.
"What was I thinking?!" Hiccup said, beating himself up. "This was a bad decision, Alora. A very bad decision."
"'Alora'?" Astrid and Snotlout repeated.
The Kryptonian sat down beside her best friend and sighed.
"At least they're not telling Johann about Vanaheim."
"That's true. . ."
"And you know what, you're right."
"Aly, you're not supposed to—"
"Hiccup you make one hundred decisions every day, so of course not all of them are going to be happy golden ones. Sometimes you need to fail. But what's important is that you keep moving forward and continue making those decisions."
A small smirk stretched across Hiccup's face.
"So did you have that speech planned out or was it off the top of your head?" Hiccup said, echoing her words.
"You know what Haddock, be glad I even took the time to give you a speech."
Hiccup stood up and looked at Hookfang's metal saddle.
"I have an idea."
Alora found herself flying straight towards the storm once again. Hiccup was on her tail.
"Where's Astrid and Snot?!"
"Astrid hanged back just in case. Snotlout says that Hookfang is in no condition to fight!"
"I guess it's just you and me again," Alora said.
"Always," Hiccup paused. "Was that too corny or. . .?"
"Yeah," Alora laughed. "But I like it!"
Hiccup smiled.
Corny pick-up lines always get your mother.
No they do not!
Oh really? *clears throat* Do you have a map? Because I keep getting lost in your eyes.
Hiccup. . .
I think I need to follow you, because I've been told that you always need to follow your dreams.
Hiccup.
. . . *laughs* Wow, you're so stunning that I just forgot my pickup line.
*blushes*
*whispers* Works every time.
The two separated and started throwing the metal bolas at the Flyers.
"Hopefully the lightning will do most of the work!"
He threw one up in the air and a chain of events occurred. One by one each Flyer was sent down, plummeting into the ocean.
The group headed back to Vanaheim where they saw. . .
"The sentinels!" Alora exclaimed. "They're alive! I can hear their heartbeats!"
They saw the twins and Fishlegs proudly hovering above the island. And in Fishlegs hand was a Dragon Eye lens.
To be more exact, a fifth Dragon Eye lens.
Alora and Hiccup smiled at each other.
Maybe everything was going to be okay.
Maybe.
