"She keeps crying if I'm not holding her stood up." Orla told Paul as she walked around the living room, bouncing the baby slightly as she did.

"D'you want me to have her?" Paul offered, Orla shook her head, she knew that the baby would end up crying, and Paul would give the baby back to Orla.

Paul poured them both a drink, himself a glass of wine, and Orla a cherry coke. "I have no clue, How Ivy's sleeping through it so easily." Paul chuckled dryly, Ivy had taken to having a baby sister quite well.

"She's always loved her sleep." Orla said with a small grin, she was evidently very tired, but Paul knew offering to take the baby was futile once she'd said no the first time. He also knew that he had to tell Orla about Freya soon.

"Are you glad it was a c-section this time around? Ivy's birth seemed like it was more traumatic for you than it was me." Orla asked, a soft chuckle at the end of her question.

Paul nodded. "As lovely as the natural process is, it was better for you and the baby, and the labour wasn't nearly as long as it was with Ivy."

Orla agreed, but didn't nod as she had to keep gently bouncing and moving so that the baby could settle.

The baby was generally a good sleeper, she just fussed if she wasn't held when she was awake, especially when she was tired, which meant anyone who held the baby would have to rock back and forth stood up.

"Are any of your brothers going to come visit?" Paul asked Orla, he would prefer for them to come before he told Orla.

"No, Adam's still busy, I don't really care anymore to be honest, He'll get back in contact eventually, they always do." Orla shrugged.

Paul nodded, it wasn't that he enjoyed Orla being distanced from the rest of her family, Orla's brothers were just .. characters. Adam was the tamest, Scott was an aspiring podcaster, which meant he was pretty much insufferable to hold a conversation with, and Ryan was a very argumentative person.

"Rhys is going to come see her when you're off to America, and then to Malta." Orla said, Rhys Ifans had been very close with Siobhan, Orla's mother ever since they lived in Primrose Hill on the same street, and as a result had been more of a father figure to Orla than her own.

"I'm sorry I've got to leave earlier." Paul said truthfully.

"Don't be, I get it, it's work." She told him softly. "We're gonna start filming again at the end of the month, Im hoping we can get a Christmas break, Ridley's not been too clear on that."

"She'll only be two months old, won't really notice, and Ivy's spent one without you before, so it won't cause too many issues if you don't." Orla said, Paul knew she didn't mean it like an accusation, or to offend him.

Paul nodded in agreement. "I'd like to be back, maybe we can go to my parents again"

"I can't ask that of your mam two years in a row, we can host it if you want" Orla offered. "You sure?" Paul asked, that would likely be a very stressful situation, with just Ivy in the picture, never mind a two month old. "I think, If we prep well, we should be able to get away with getting your parents and siblings here, and my mother" Orla nodded.

Paul wondered wether he should tell her now, reveal something that could ruin their relationship, or perhaps he should leave it until he left, He opened his mouth to speak when his phone rang, luckily for him, it was neither of the few men who knew, It was his younger brother.

"I'll speak to Donnacha and have a light outside" Paul said, before grabbing a carton of cigarettes from the counter and quickly going out the back door to the garden patio.
