That's a really hard question. I have 3 bands that I've listened to for a long time that speak to me. Keep in mind I consume a TON of music. I have a ton of favorite bands.

1. Celtic Woman. I've listened to this group (theatrical-style Celtic/traditional music) since I was 5. My parents were fans and when their first CD came out in 2005 they played it for 3 straight years. I've memorized that album and I love most of their other work.

2. Blackmore's Night. A group I've been listening to for about 5 years. Their last album was 4 years ago, probably because the guitarist is 74 and might be retiring (and he's the Blackmore in Blackmore's Night, so that's a pretty big deal). They sing folksy, fantasy-type music that hearkens to the Middle Ages. Though my hearing has declined and I can't hear the singer very well, I enjoy her deep voice. This group gives me nostalgia bigtime and I want them to keep making music.

3. Within Temptation. This group I've been listening to for 3-ish years. They're a symphonic rock group and most of their music (especially the older stuff) is clean. Great sound, great singer.

Other groups I enjoy are Evanescence, Starset, Audrey Assad, Lindsey Stirling, and Leaves' Eyes.
