Why Luccato-san Wears Glasses
I revealed some time ago that I tend to wear glasses more often than contacts. I have the freedoms to choose between the two options, but in the end, it's a matter of situation. I'll provide a little compare and contrast so that you guys can understand what I'm getting at.
Luccato-san Without Glasses:
I thought I looked relatively normal. Maybe it's because I'm Asian and I just happen to be tired almost everyday that my eyes seem slightly slanted. The following quotes were from my friends who commented upon my "glasses-less" face.
"You look like a delinquent who'll beat up a man for cake."
"With your hair like that and no glasses, you could be a pretty tan K-pop star."
"Don't hurt me please!"
"...I have unveiled something I shouldn't have."
"You look so freaking different! You could pass as a young adult if you went to the bar."
"Grow a goatee and you'll be a wonderful super villain."
"When you smile, you look like you just created a plan to set the school on fire."
"You look so serious."
Yeah... I think you can get the gist of it.
Luccato-san With Glasses:
Having glasses on is really convenient at times. If I stare at the board, people just assume that "Oh, the really smart looking kid with glasses is paying attention to the lesson."
In actually, I'm probably day dreaming.
Compared to not wearing my contacts, others find it easier to approach me- much easier. I scared off this one girl in class just by glancing sideways at her after she asked me a question without my glasses on... Then we became friends after a couple days of remedying the effects. It really is troublesome.
Quotes from others include:
"You look so docile with your glasses on."
"It's like a personality change of some sort- from Mr. Relaxed to Mr. You-Dead."
"Someone tape those glasses to his head."
And yeah there's that.
Conclusion:
Glasses make my life easier.
