2 - House of the Rising Son
Davina and I lived inside the attic of St. Anne's church for about eight months, and sometimes it got bored. Nothing interesting ever happened until the old ones came here.
"Do you think Marcel will allow us go into one of the festivals?" I asked Davina while looking at the opened coffin Marcel had brought the last time he came. It was of one of the old ones.
Davina chuckled, "I don't think so. Not even if we begged"
I opened my mouth to reply when I heard the knob of the door rattling. Davina and I exchanged a look. I stood up quickly and silently closing the lid of the coffin, hiding in the shadows. Davina doing the same
I saw Marcel entering, furrowing my eyebrows when I saw the blonde woman outside the door.
"Invite me in" The blonde woman told him when she tried to walk in and couldn't.
"Gotta ask the lady of the house" Marcel told her. Davina gave me a reassuring look seeing my frown. "Davina, come on out, sweetheart" Davina walked out of the shadows, standing at Marcel's side "Invite her in"
"Come in" Davina told her. The woman walked in, walking toward the coffin, opening it to see the old one, starting to pull out the dagger that kept him dead "I wouldn't do that"
Davina used magic to make the woman push the dagger back into the old one's heart.
The woman looked at Davina, "Who the bloody hell are you?"
"Davina" Davina answered. She looked at Marcel "She's an old one, isn't she?"
"Yeah" Marcel answered, "Rebekah is an Original, which means she can't be killed"
I raised a brow, looking at Rebekah from my hiding spot
Davina tilted her head aside, "She doesn't seem very nice"
"She can be..." Marcel trailed off, "But she hasn't been very nice to me tonight"
Davina looked at Rebekah "Then I'm afraid it's time for you to leave"
Davina magically, without moving a muscle, propelled Rebekah across the room, slamming her against walls several times before sending her through a door, which slammed shut behind her.
I walked out of hiding, clapping my hands "That's what I call a show"
Davina blinked, looking away from the window at me with a sheepish smile.

Later, we were still in the attic.
Davina was drawing at an easel.
I was reading a book, unfortunately one of witchcraft, -because it was the only here I could read-, sitting on the coffin, my legs crossed under me using them to keep my book from falling
Marcel walked inside. "I'm sorry about that unpleasantness" He told us. I looked up raising a brow. "And keeping you hidden, B. It was dangerous if she knew who you were"
"We're not scared of her" I told him "Who will after what Davina did to her?"
Davina shook her head, "Beth's right. None of them scares us. In fact, they should be scared of us, specially of what Beth can do"
I shrugged in agreement
"I didn't think they would, girls" Marcel told us. "But, the thing is, it seems like they're here to stay"
"They don't belong here" Davina told him
"Might be kinda tough to convince them of that" Marcel told us. He looked at the coffin "Which is why I need to ask you for a favor" He looked at us "I'm gonna need you to figure out how we kill an Original"
Davina and I exchanged a look
Well, that sounds fun.
