ARNIE:
[Entering the room with an unsure expression on his face, the boy cleared his throat to make his presence known.]

SCHOOL COUNSELLOR:
[Looking up at Arnie with a surprised look.] Arnold! Back so soon?

ARNIE:
[Looking embarrassed, Arnie scratched the back of his neck and sat down.] It's Arnie . . . . And, I think I have a problem.

SCHOOL COUNSELLOR:
[Grabbing both a pen and notepad, the School Counsellor clicked their pen at the ready.] What seems to be the issue, Arnie?

ARNIE:
[Wincing at how the School Counsellor pronounced his name, Arnie felt like she saw it as a uselessly boring chore to even say his name. Sighing, Arnie was hesitant in answering.] Well . . . . Strange things have been happening to me: like as if my body's changing in a weird way.

SCHOOL COUNSELLOR:
That's called Puberty, Arnie. Glad to see you caught yourself up in that department.

ARNIE:
What? ━ No, not like that! I mean . . . . I'm having feathers growing on my own body. I think, I'm turning into something else ━ like, an animal.

SCHOOL COUNSELLOR:
[Having had all that time to inhale in all of that information, the School Counsellor scribbled down something onto a piece of paper. Then, she was quick to tear it off and hand it over to Arnie.] Here, this person should be able to help.

ARNIE:
[Looking at the piece of paper, Arnie held a mildly offended look on his face.] This is all just an email, website name and phone number to a psychiatrist.

SCHOOL COUNSELLOR:
[Feigning a sarcastic smile, she was quick to wave off Arnie with an unbothered attitude.] Glad to see you're all the more familiar with them!

　　　　　　　　　　 　　It simply started with Arnie coughing up, sneezing out and having feathers fall out from his body. Arnie was only trying to get through school ━ as, the boy felt that he was finally about to actually fit in ( after moving houses and schools for what seemed to be the umpteenth time ). Nevertheless, it's utterly terrifying for teenage boy that thinks he's experiencing signs of being a late bloomer, once he sees the trail of feathers he leaves scattered behind.

　　　　　　　　　　 　　Arnie doesn't possibly think this could all even get any worse, but Fate seems to be keen on kicking him right, where it hurts. Because, his situation seemed to only get worse. As his whole body just appears to be swerved into a whirlpool of a complete change. His once━smooth skin grew to be calloused and harsh from the result of feathers growing on out of his skin, Arnie's way of laughing and speaking was soon overtaken by pathetic noises that can only be aligned to an animalistic quality held within the family tree of the entire bird species.

　　　　　　　　　　 　　Fearing what he could become, Arnie turned to the most unassuming of places for any answers on whatever could be happening to him. It wasn't like, he could tell his parents: they'd just think he was being immature and it wasn't like he could tell his friends, at school ━ he technically couldn't even manage to keep any around him for much longer, regardless. Having no one to turn to, the boy could only look to himself for his own help to find the answers to his own questions that he was yearning to know. But, if you were to question Arnie on what he discovered: the boy would simply look ashamed.

　　　　　　　　　　 　　For he came to discover that he was the very thing Arnie had hoped, prayed and wished he wasn't: a Peculiar. An overwhelming feeling of horror had struck him down, he couldn't even begin to comprehend this, at all. He felt that searching for that answer to his problem seemed to only be a mistake for Arnie, as he conspired the thought that he could never feel, like he could ever have a chance at being normal.

　　　　　　　　　　 　　Ever.

　　　　　　　　　　 　　But, why does one feel the need to blend in, when they were made to stand out? Arnie has yet to realise that, as he accidentally stumbles into Ms. Firefly's Home for Abnormals. A safe haven for peculiarly abnormal children that all happened to be ' gifted ' with superpowers of their own. They were just like Arnie: confused and frightened children that were taken under Ms. Firefly's wing to be nurtured, cared for and also taught how to adapt to their peculiarity.

　　　　　　　　　　 　　Arnie could have that: the feeling of belonging amongst Ms. Firefly and the other Peculiar Children. Despite that, the boy doesn't want that. Arnie Amadeus just wants to be normal. Nonetheless, he cannot worry about that ( for the time━being ), since strange things have started to befall onto the children ━ ever since the feathery teenager arrived. As inexplicable as the strange happenings are, and yet: that's not even the main issue, at hand.

　　　　　　　　　　 　　Eerie noises have been plaguing the children's minds, as suspicion arises that there may be something coming after them. That would be correct, indeed. As, their safe place, their sanctuary is soon invaded and everything they have ever known was bound to be destroyed in those mere seconds that contained the time it took for such indescribable beings to destroy their Home.

　　　　　　　　　　 　　Together, a reluctantly hesitant Arnie and a bundle of peculiar kids 'n teenagers have to band together to find a way to both: properly adapt to their powers that they seem to be still trying to understand and they are in desperate need of also, finding a way to eradicate the monsters that had destroyed their Home. For, it was prophesised that if those beasts were to go beyond with their destructive ways, then: they could possibly spread their maniacally harmful mannerisms across the World. That would prove to be catastrophic, if the children were not quick enough to stop the chaos from befalling them and the rest of the World ( that continues to shun them, for being different ).

━━━━━━━━　　　　　　Unordinary and peculiar children have no other choice , than to embrace their own peculiarities ( even though , they aren't exactly professionals at using their powers ) ━ when the only place they've come to ever know as their Home is endangered by unknown creatures and they are left with no choice, but to hunt those creatures down. In order, to stop them from going any further to savagely unfurl out havoc onto the Entire World.
