Around 4pm Abhimanyu  smiled to himself seen the way the condo was decorated for Akshara's birthday.

This was the condo which he would stay in when he didn't feel like going home during those early days when Akshara had gone away,

Birla mansion had all her memories since childhood and getting this condo was one of the reasons to keep Akshara away from his mind yet he knew he never succeeded in that But now he wanted this place to have Akshara's memories too..and not just her memories but both of their happy memories and this day was just perfect.

From decorating to even baking, Abhimanyu  wanted to do everything himself.
Akshara loves chocolate cake, a smile came onto his face thinking about how her reaction would be seeing all this, the timer went off making Abhimanyu  come back to present..walking  over to the kitchen he took out the cake from the oven.

Abhimanyu : Now this just has too cool down before I start making the cream. First we all will go to have dinner with everyone and then personally I’ll give Akshara this surpise,just me and her. he said to himself smiling

Meanwhile at the Birla mansion Akshara had reached home early to be greeted by mahima

Akshara: taiji.

Mahima: thank god you are here beta now chalo go and get ready and wear something good ok come on go.

Akshara: but where are we going.

Mahima: you will know soon today is your birthday right so be ready. Go now even harsh, anand and manjari have gone to get ready she said pushing Akshara towards the stairs who shook her head but then stopped.

Akshara: what about Neil and Parth bhai?

Mahima: they have too now you also go. Akshara chuckled the way Mahima was sending her away so quickly and headed upstairs.

Around 5pm

Akshara: i’m ready she said coming down in a beautiful simple gown.

Manjari: omg Akshara you are looking so beautiful

Akshara: thank you she said smiling

Mahima: manjari put a kala teeka on Akshara so that no evil eyes fall on her she said to which manjari nodded.

Akshara: come on taiji it’s only you all so no such thing will happen.

Neil: put it on akshu bhabhi otherwise kisi ki nazar lag gayi toh problem ho jayien gi he said teasingly.

Akshara: Neillll chup.

Mahima:Akshara tum chup she said and gesture manjari to go ahead.

manjari put a kala teeka behind Akshara ear. And till then the rest came down.

Manjari: Chalo now we all are ready and just have to wait

Akshara:Can you tell me what we have to wait for?

Manjari: for that you will have to wait to know what we are waiting for?

Akshara looked at all of them.

Mahima: wah manjari wah...  I’m impressed for the first time I understood what you said otherwise only you can understand what you actually say and mean she said winking at her sister

Manjari: thanks she said smiling happily making the rest chuckle when she realised what mahima said

Parth: Neil has Abhi left? He whispered so that Akshara doesn't hear him.

Neil: I hope he has. I tried to call him but his phone seemed out of reach as it kept going onto voicemail.

Back at the condo

Abhimanyu  had gotten his clothes at the condo already

He decided to freshen up and change. After chaging he made sure the decoration was done properly and then placed the cake in the fridge. Looking at the condo one last time with a huge smile he left to go to the Birla mansion

As he reached there around 5:50pm he saw the door closed and rang the bell but nobody answered...Abhimanyu  frowned and took his keys out after few secs, he unlocked the door and entered inside to see nobody around

Abhimanyu :taiji?....Mom?....Dad?....tauji, Akshara?...m Neil? Parth bhai? He said calling out to everyone but there was no response.

He then headed outside to see if they were in the garden but nobody was there too

Abhimanyu : where is everyone? I had told everyone  to be ready by 6pm and also make sure that Akshara is too so  where did they go without telling? Let me call Neil and find out.

He took out his phone to call Neil but in return he  got a call...he took  out his phone to see manjari calling and quickly answered

Abhimanyu :mom where are you all?

Manjari:Abhi we are at the Goenka mansion for Akshara birthday surprise that sahil had planned in which you agreed to help in...Sahil told us you might be late so he decided to pick us up

Abhimanyu  went still hearing that

Abhimanyu : The party that sahil planned? He repeated

Manjari: haan that is where you planned to take us right? Though Neil said you had planned something else but Sahil said you cancelled that plan of yours. You hadn't came and sahil said he thought of picking us up while you will meet us here  but it’s nearly 6pm and there is no sign of you

Abhimanyu :mom I’ll be there soon.

Manjari: But where are you? Wait are you getting a gift for Akshara?

Abhimanyu: Consider it something like that. I'll see you all at the Birla mansion ok. bye

Manjari: Bye Abhi she said ending the call

Abhimanyu placed his phone in his pocket as his jaws clenched, he threw the cushion on the floor as he looked on angrily.

Abhimanyu : Sahillllll he said gritting his teeth as he remembered Sahil word

Flashback

Sahil: Special will be mine only so I would say dont waste your time after all since the past 5 years I have been planning her birthday. But don't be sad you are surely INVITED from my side as I don't allow anyone to come if I haven't given any invitation.

Abhimanyu  looked at sahil and laughed sarcastically with his hands in his pocket shaking his head for a sec.

Abhimanyu : You may have planned Akshara birthday for the past few years but before you even came into her life I have been planning her birthay ...and it will be the same this year

Sahil:That we will see Abhimanyu  

Abhimanyu :We surely will he said

End of flashback

Abhimanyu rubbed the back of his neck as he walked back and forth.

Abhimanyu : Fine sahil you made Akshara attend that party that you organised but I’ll make sure that I make it more special in my own way he said and headed out to go to  Goenka mansion.

Meanwhile at the Goenka mansion Sahil walked over to Manjari

Sahil: aunty you called Abhimanyu  right?

Manjari: haan beta, he is coming she said

Sahil nodded while Manjari walked away

Sahil turned and looked at Akshara who was always the centre of attention for her family but today she is getting even more attention.

Sahil: Poor Abhimanyu  thought he can plan Akshara birthday but was too late he thought smirking to himself and went into flashback

Flashback
Around 5:10pm sahil reached outside Birla mansion and went in.

Manjari: Sahil beta you over here ? She asked as she saw him enter while the others turned their head to see Sahil walking towards to where they are sitting.

Sahil: You all seem to be ready

Harshvardan:haan woh Abhimanyu  told us to be ready by 6pm but we got ready before that he said.

Akshara was surprised to hear that as she thought abhi might have not planned anything.

Sahil:ohh I see well it’s good you are ready as I came to pick you all up?

Akshara: pick us up?

Sahil nodded

Manjari: but why?  I mean Abhi said he would come and pick us up

Akshara: Abhimanyu  said that?? But he didnt say anything to me she said frowning.

Sahil:actually aunty Abhimanyu  will be late so I thought I might and come pick you up to go to the Goenka mansion

Mahima: wait wait dont tell me there is going to be a party over there? So that is why Abhimanyu  told us to be ready...this guy she said shaking her head

Sahil: yes taiji that is why he said smiling with a small smirk.

Neil: Wait wait wait, but bhai said he wanted to do something simple for Akshu which I still won't reveal so how comes this party all of a sudden as bhai would have informed us.

Akshara: can someone please tell me who exactly planned what she said getting confused as she looked at everyone

Sahil: Akshara actually the thing is me and Abhimanyu  thought of organising a party for your birthday. While I did most of the work, Abhimanyu  was kind enough to give ideas and get all the required things...he was going to come and pick you up at 6pm but he probably might be late so here I am and Neil Abhimanyu did organise to do something  for Akshara but he changed his plan and joined hands with me he said looking at Akshara, Neil and the rest

Anand: so what are we waiting for let’s go then he said .

End of flashback

Sahil:Sorry Abhimanyu  but what can I do.i guess I’m just too good at winning challenges against you he said to himself.

Within 15 mins Abhimanyu  reached to the Goenka mansion and walked inside quickly and saw all busy talking with few other guests around.

Akshara was talking with few people who were wishing when her eyes fell on Abhimanyu to see him standing near the door. She excused herself and walked over to Abhimanyu  with a smile

Abhimanyu :Akshu woh... before he could say anything Akshara spoke as she held his hand

Akshara: Abhi. Thank you so much for planning this surpise.I honestly hadn't thought you would plan something beautiful like this. Sahil told us this was both of your idea. It really touched my heart that you both thought of doing something like this together.

Abhimanyu  listened as Akshara spoke. He so badly wanted to tell her that he didn't plan this but kept quiet by noticing her excitement.

Suddenly Sahil came to them and by looking at him, Abhimanyu  felt angry once again.

Sahil: Abhimanyu. Thanks for the help man. If you hadn't arranged for everything then it wouldn't have been possible without you and see I got Akshara and your family here on time just as you told me he said sarcastically

Akshara: I’m happy that you both are getting along she said

Sahil: That we surely are, by the way Akshara come with me dadi was calling you he said taking her with him

Abhimanyu  watched sahil take Akshara away.

After few mins Abhimanyu  felt a hand on his shoulder to see vidyut

Vidyut: Abhi  I thought you said you planned to take Akshara for dinner with everyone and then plan something for her at the condo so how comes a party over here suddenly?

Abhimanyu : Sahil planned the surprise vidyut.I actually have everything ready at the condo but he picked everyone up and got them here he said

Vidyut frowned

Vidyut: But why did Sahil do that? he said frowning

He looked at Abhimanyu  when his eyes widened

Vidyut: dont tell me that he...

Abhimanyu  nodded

Abhimanyu : You are guessing right...me and sahil are not on good terms and nobody knows about this especially Akshara ...I could have told her the truth but she was happy thinking me and sahil planned the party together.

Vidyut: so what about the special surpise at the condo?

Abhimanyu :My efforts won't go in waste. Sahil may planned Aksharas birthday here but her birthday will end in a special way at the condo itself he Said slowly smiling

Vidyut: what you going to do about sahil and when did you find out about his feelings for Akshara?

Abhimanyu : I’ll tell you all that later on he said to which vidyut nodded

After sometime Akshara was called forward for cake cutting

As she stood in the middle all started singing for her...she smiled as all sang and when she was about to blow the candles she saw Abhimanyu  standing in front of her, she closed her eyes and made a wish before blowing it as all clapped.

As Akshara cut the cake she moved towards sirat and ranveer followed by the rest of the Goenka family.and then gave some to the Birla family who made her have some cake.

She then moved towards the gang while some smeared the cake on her face a little and then to sahil who made Akshara take a bite of the cake and hugged her while he looked at Abhimanyu 

Akshara then lastly moved to Abhimanyu  and as she forward the cake towards his mouth Abhimanyu  took a small bite

Akshara : I wanted to feed you first Abhimanyu  but decided against it because then the rest would be having a bite of the cake... feeding you last gives me satisfaction that  after we both had taken a bite nobody else would have that piece...I know by doing this or just by feeling this way I might end up getting hurt but I dont want to think about all that because I myself wanted it to be this way and I’m happy with small moments of happiness with you. She thought to herself as she looked at Abhimanyu

Abhimanyu  raised his eyebrows to which Akshara smiled shaking her head.

Sahil walked to them, he  looked at Abhimanyu  and then turned to face Akshara.

Sahil: Akshara what if I ask you a tricky question

Abhimanyu  narrowed his eyes 

Akshara: tricky question? What sort of tricky question? She asked with a smile

Sahil: What if I say you have to choose between me and Abhimanyu 

The smile from Akshara face vanished while Abhimanyu  clenched his jaws

Akshara: sahil..why but she couldnt continue as sahil interrupted

Sahil: tell me Akshara... me or Abhimanyu ?  He said while Akshara looked at Sahil as he looked at her seriously.

Akshara then looked at Abhimanyu  to see anger clearly visible on his face

Akshara: Sahil what sort of question is this ?

Sahil: I'm asking a simple question me or Abhimanyu  ? Look if you choose Abhimanyu  for a dance first  I would be heartbroken

Akshara: what? She said trying to process what he just said while Abhimanyu  also looked at sahil as if he has lost it

Sahil: whattt? Come on I just asked a simple question what is that look for as if I have asked for your life

Akshara: the way you asked was just scary itself she said

Sahil: awww well how about a dance with me first  birthday girl since I deserve it for hosting such an amazing party  he said

Akshara smiled and looked at Abhimanyu  before heading of with sahil after placing the cake piece  down

As others were dancing too Abhimanyu  watched as Akshara and Sahil danced and how he would say something that would make her say something in return and both end up laughing

Not able to take it anymore he walked over to them

Abhimanyu :Can I borrow Akshara for sometime he said

Sahil: Of course you can borrow her for sometime Abhimanyu  he said putting pressure on the word “borrow”

Abhimanyu :correction sahil, not for sometime but for whole life he said smiling while looking at sahil

Akshara eyes widened at what Abhimanyu  said but composed herself when he turned towards her

Abhimanyu : dance?

Akshara nodded and placed her hand in his while the other hand rested on his shoulder and his on her waist with some distance between them too

Abhimanyu : i.forgot to say one thing Akshu

Akshara: what?

Abhimanyu : you look beautiful he said

Akshara heart fluttered with the way he said that..
Her cheeks giving away her reaction making boyish smile appear on his face

Abhimanyu : also another thing

Akshara:what she asked as he twirled her twice

Abhimanyu : you look cute with a little bit of cake on your nose he said

Akshara eyes widened and as she was about to lift her hand to wipe it of Abhimanyu  wiped it for her.

Akshara: thank you.i just dont know how I actually forgot

Abhimanyu : maybe you might have thought to leave it on so that you can have a little taste of it later he said

Akshara: Abhiiii she said smakcing his arm playfully as he laughed

Abhimanyu : what you love cake so maybe you might have planned to do that

Akshara:well seems like you do....that is why you got that  idea

Abhimanyu :I’m a  doctor   and I would never do that

Akshara: many of us are doctor here Mr birla and also a human so don't give me this I'm a doctor wala dialogue since you are not on duty right now and even if you was what’s the gurantee you wouldn't do that

Abhimanyu : Because  I’m innocent not crazy like you he said

Akshara: innocent my foot she said

Suhasini, swarna, sirat, Manjari and mahima watched from a distance seeing abhira dance and the smile playing on both their faces as they continued with their crazy sweet bickering

Suhasini: I’m so happy to see our kids like this again.

Swarna: you are right maaji... I had lost hope thinking few years of distance had broken their friendship but I was wrong and I’m happy to be proved wrong

Mahima: Akshara and Abhimanyu  friendship is such..
For 5 years they.had stayed away without communicating but their friendship was always alive in them, nothing can break this friendship not even distance she said

Later on as ranveer had decided to dance with Akshara,  sahil walked over to Abhimanyu 

Sahil: Sorry Abhimanyu ...I know you was waiting to speak to me, wait sorry let me correct that. You was waiting to shout at me, probably must have felt like beating me up as I won the challenge and got Akshara to the party that I arranged for her and trust me I was enjoying seeing your frustration but you see Abhimanyu  when I am opposite you na then it’s not easy for you to win. I know you must be very annoyed with me and I honestly don't care, but I’m not a bad person you see..
I actually felt pity for you so thought of giving you a small credit of helping out for the party. You know Abhimanyu  I have an advice when you have a challenge na have a backup plan especially when the challenge is between the both of us because chances of you winning are very less he said

Abhimanyu  looked at sahil seriously but than he  smiled after sahil finished speaking

Abhimanyu :You know sahil at first I was angry but then I thought why shall i be angry .infact you did something good .You told everyone that I helped you for this so called party of yours which made Akshara super happy and not only Akshara but even both of my family. Plus now I can end Akshara birthday with the beautiful surprise I have planned for her so thanks man for this beautiful party and allowing me to contribute and end her birthday beautifully he said with a smirk

The smile on sahil face started to lessen as he listened to what Abhimanyu  said

Abhimanyu :See you later as I don't want to delay the surprise I have planned for Akshara he said smiling leaving a frowning sahil

As the Birla family decided to leave  vidyut gave Abhimanyu  a wink as he got in the car with Akshara while mahima, Harshvardan, anand and manjari decided to leave in another car as before the came to the goenka mansion they had told the driver to come with a car since few of them came with sahil, wheras Parth and Neil left together. Abhimanyu  had informed  birla family  about taking Akshara to the condo for a small surprise

On the way the ride was quiet when Akshara decided to speak.

Akshara: Abhimanyu 

Abhimanyu : yh? He asksd looking at her for a sec and then concentrated on the road

Akshara: thank you for today...I enjoyed the party  she said smiling

Abhimanyu  tightened his fingers around the steering wheel and then looked at Akshara

Abhimanyu : dont thank me Akshara...it was mainly sahil who had organised the party so the credit does go to him. he said

Akshara: still...I’m just happy that you both did something together she said and looked out of the window

Abhimanyu  looked at Akshara for few sec and turned his head away

Abhimanyu : If situation would have been different we probably would have but we are on a path now where we only challenge each other he thought to himself

Suddenly Abhimanyu  came out of his thinking bubble when Akshara spoke

Akshara: Abhimanyu  I think by mistake you took another route as this isn't taking us to the Birla mansion

Abhimanyu : That is because we are not going to Birla mansion he said smiling

Akshara: What do you mean we are not? Where are we going then?

Abhimanyu : you will know soon...he said

Akshara: I thought only us ladies can plan a surpise party but you guys surely seem to have an upper hand she said shaking her head with a small smile

Abhimanyu  chuckled making Akshara smile even more

As they reached to the condo both got out

Akshara: Abhi . Who have we come to meet?

Abhimanyu :nobody he said

Before Akshara could turn to Abhimanyu  to ask more questions he put a blindfold around Akshara eyes

Akshara: Abhimanyu  what are you doing she said able to feel him tie the fold

Akshara took a deep breath when she felt Abhimanyu  whisper in her ears

Abhimanyu : get ready for the surprise Akshu...mainly planned by me only he said

His one hand went around her shoulder while he held her other hand with their fingers intertwined

As they reached outside the condo door Akshara felt  Abhimanyu  move away from her

Expecting him to speak he didnt say anything and as she coudlnt take the silence anymore she removed the blindfold and closed her eyes as she tried to adjust to the light...when she was able to see clearly she turned around to see if Abhimanyu  was behind her but he was nowhere

Akshara: where did Abhimanyu  go she said facing the same direction she was standing earlier when her lips parted seeing what was on the door

Precrap: Abhimanyu : may I have a dance with the birthday girl he said in a low voice

Akshara chuckled and nodded

Abhimanyu  slid his hand on her waist slowly making Akshara stiffen and as he pulled her closer her lips parted slowly
