"Rori, are you going to the Father's Day party with your dad tomorrow?" Jessie asked as we walked to our classes together. I looked over to meet her blue eyes with my brown ones and nodded.

"That's the plan, what about you?" I said and watched her as she tucked her brown hair behind her ear.

"Yup! So we can hang out while they talk business?" I laughed and swept my black hair over my shoulder to let the wind cool my neck off.

"Of course. Thank goodness someone will be there that I can stand." I said as I looked up to the building where Jessie's class was.

"I'll see you tomorrow night then!" She called as she ran off. I waved back at her before looking around the campus. It was pretty vacant as I walked on toward my building.

I have to go shopping tonight for a dress for tomorrow. Maybe I can do that after my class.

A hand clamped over my mouth from behind and an arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me back into someone's body. My heart leapt in my chest and I widened my eyes in surprise. I dropped my books and scratched at the person's arms. I kicked my legs as hard as I could, trying desperately to make contact with the person who grabbed me. They walked backwards as I screamed into their hand and then bit down on their skin. I felt them flinch from my attempts but they never lessened their grip. They threw me into a van and I quickly tried to jump back out towards them but before I could, the door slammed shut. I scrambled to open it back up but to no avail.

It's locked!

I looked around and saw that there was another door at the back of the van. I moved over to it quickly and tried to open it but it was locked as well. I turned around to see a small square metal grate that seemed to lead to the driver's seat. I ran to it and looked to see a man getting in the driver's seat.

"Let me out of here, you sick son of a bitch!" I screamed. I could see his brown head of hair ruffle slightly as he glanced at me. Dark piercing eyes looked at me for a moment before returning his attention back to the road and starting the vehicle. As the van started moving, I backed up and sat down on the metal floor. I checked my pocket for my cell phone.

It's gone!

I looked over to the metal grate, seeing the man's brown hair again.

Shit! He must have grabbed it!

I looked around the van again to find a way to escape. When I couldn't find a way out, I walked back up to the metal grate and looked out the windshield, trying to memorize the streets.

Jefferson st, take a right...102nd Ave...take a left...we're stopping?

I watched as the man pulled over to the side of the deserted road and got out. The landscape was dry and typical of Arizona weather. The door that I was thrown in from opened and I jumped away. The man's hair swayed slightly from the wind outside and his smokey eyes stared at me intensely. His lips were set into a thin line as I examined him. A plain black shirt and dark wash jeans with black combat boots. I saw a few tattoos peeking out from underneath his sleeves.

He certainly doesn't look like a kidnapper.

"You really thought I would let you see where we're going?" He asked and rose an eyebrow. Anger and adrenaline surged through me as I lunged at him, determined to take him down. He caught me easily in his arms, throwing me over his shoulder and walked to the passenger door. He opened it and seemed to be searching for something.

"Let me go!" I screamed. I thrashed against him, beating on his back and kicking against his stomach but soon realized that nothing was affecting him. Deterred by his strength, I started to feel defeated. My eyes watered as fear started to consume me.

Damn it! Why?! Why is this happening to me?!

"Please stop." I begged.

"I'm afraid I can't do that." He said as he set me down onto the dirt with my back against the van. I scrambled to get away but he grabbed me around the waist with one arm and shoved me back against the van. I winced from the impact as he took a rope to my wrists. I tried kicking him away but he kneeled on my ankles, making me cry out in pain.

"Just stop fighting me and I won't have to hurt you." He said calmly as he finished tying up my wrists.

"Why are you doing this?" He glanced up at me for a moment.

"Maybe if you're a good girl, I'll tell you." He said and then moved to my legs. He started tying them up, too. Helplessness came over me and I quit thrashing. I looked down at my tied hands and tears sprang from my eyes. He stopped for a moment when he saw that I was crying.

"Don't do that." He said with a sigh. When I didn't stop he put a hand on top of my head. I looked up through my tears to see him looking at me with conflict clear in his grey eyes.

"Just calm down. You're going to be fine. I'm not going to hurt you...unless you fight me too much." He took his hand away from my head and glanced away from me. He grabbed a cloth and started to put it across my eyes. He proceeded to tie it behind my head.

"What do you want with me?!" I cried.

"Just be quiet or I'm going to put a gag in your mouth." A newfound determination set in and my confidence returned.

"No! I will scream and fight you every second so just let me go!" I yelled, despite having no vision. I felt a cloth go into my mouth and then also tied behind my head. I tried screaming but was muted by the cloth.

Damn it!

"Alright, seriously. You have to calm down, now. We have a long drive ahead of us and if you act like this the whole time, you're going to have an anxiety attack. I can put down a blanket for you to lay on but only if you stop fighting me."

I sat motionless for a while before nodding reluctantly. I heard him open and slam a couple of doors before scooping me up into his arms and laying me down on what seemed to be a soft comforter. I heard the door slam shut again and then a few minutes later, I felt the vehicle moving. I wept into the cloth that covered my eyes until sleep took over my worn body.

*~*~*~*

I woke up to the door opening. I felt myself being lifted up and taken outside. He set me down against the van again and took off the blindfold and gag. I squinted as my eyes adjusted to the light. The man was kneeling in front of me, staring into my eyes. I looked around to see that we were on another deserted road.

Where are we?

"Here, have some water." He said as he held a water bottle up to my lips. I took a gulp and used my shoulder to wipe the trickles from my chin.

"I have to pee." I told him and his eyes narrowed.

"Well, hold it."

I stared at him with defiance.

"I can't. Do you want to clean it up if I pee myself?" I asked him seriously. My eyes trained on his, challenging him. He finally looked down and sighed.

"Fine." He took out a pocket knife and cut the rope around my ankles.

"I'm not untying your hands, though."

"How am I supposed to pull my pants down?" I asked with wide eyes.

"Figure it out. Go behind that rock over there. I will be right here so don't you dare try to run away." I glared at him for a moment before I walked behind the rock. I maneuvered myself until I finally got my pants down and did my business. After I got my pants back up, I peeked around the rock. He was staring up at the clouds with a bored look on his face. He seemed distracted enough for me to get away.

Now's my chance!

I turned in the opposite direction and took a deep breath. I readied myself and then ran as fast as my feet would take me. I was almost to the road when I was tackled to the ground with a face full of dirt.

"Are you fucking kidding me?! I told you not to run!" He yelled as he got off of me and picked me up.

"I'm not going to make it easy for you!" I screamed back at him. He sighed and shook his head. I closed my eyes tightly, trying not to cry. When I opened them, he was staring at me with soft eyes.

Why...is he looking at me like that?

"I don't expect you to." He said and then started walking back to the van. He set me down against the van and tried tying my ankles while I kicked at him. He stopped for a moment, seeming frustrated, and looked up at me.

"Do I have to knock you out?" He asked calmly. My eyes widened and turned nervous for a moment.

"I'm not going to just let you tie me up." I said, trying to sound confident. He sighed and glanced up at the sky before looking at me again.

"I don't want to hurt you but I will if I have to." His eyes were staring at me with intensity and my nervousness increased.

"Well you're going to have to then, I guess, because I'm not going to give up. I wont stop fighting you." I tried to ignore how scared I was as I stared back at him. He closed his eyes and shook his head. I took the opportunity to try to kick him over but he caught my leg with one hand and opened his eyes narrowly.

"I guess I don't have a choice then." He said as he let go of my leg. He kneeled in closer to me and reached his hand up. I closed my eyes tightly and braced myself for him to hit me. When I didn't feel an impact, I opened one eye cautiously. He had taken a step towards me and put his hand on his thigh. He sat down on my knees and I cringed in pain. He put a hand on my cheek and my eyes widened in surprise.

"Wh-what are you-?" He caressed my cheek as he moved his hand towards my ear. He took two fingers and pressed gently at first. I sat there in shock as he pressed harder and harder into my skin until my vision became blurry.

"That's it, go to sleep." He cooed as he pressed harder. My body became weak and my vision started to turn black. I collapsed into his arms and my entire world went dark.
