*Steve POV *
It's been a year since we adopted both Harley and Sarah Maria. A lot has happened since then. Nat and Bruce had their kid. It's a girl and they named her Vera Maddison. A couple months ago Bucky and Sam adopted a little boy who's five years old. His name is Mason chase. Tony and I have not adopted anymore kids but I can tell he wants to. He doesn't seem likes a family man but he is someone who wants to give someone else a better life. We apparently forgot to tell Harley that Peter is Spider-Man so six months ago Peter swung into a window again and when we let him in and Tony and I started scolding him using his first name we heard a thud. The thud was Harley passing out from finding out that Peter was Spider Man. MJ and Peter are still dating and Ned is still best friends with him. Harley isn't dating anyone yet but he's also good friends with Ned. Sarah Maria is only a year old but she and Vera are adorable together.

Okay. I think that is it. You are all caught up.

Oh, one more thing. Both Peter and Harley are going to take over Stark Industries one day. Until then they are going to learn about the business from Tony and Pepper, but also attend college online. They both are doing MIT.

"Stevie" Tony calls

"Yes" I call back

"Lunch is ready" he says

"Okay" I say

I look back down at my sketch book and take in the sketch that I'm working on. It's off our small family of five. I ignore Tony's call and continue working on the sketch. Five minutes later I start to hear footsteps so I close the sketch book. The door opens and Tony walks in.

"You okay" he asks

"Yeah. I'm fine. Why" I ask

"Well you've been spending a lot of time in our room. We're all starting to worry. Even Sarah Maria and she doesn't even understand what's going on" he says

"Everything is fine Tony. I was just working on something" I say

"Okay." He says

"I'm serious Tony. Is everyone on our floor for lunch today" I ask

"Yeah. They are all here. Happy and Pepper are also here" Tony says

"We better got out there before our boys make Happy leave" I say

"They aren't going to annoy him" Tony says

"Peter Benjamin and Harley Andrew get in here now" I yell

We hear running and soon they appear

"Yes pops" they ask

"How long" I ask

"They didn't do anything Steve" Tony stresses

"How long" I ask again

"3 minutes" Peter says

"2 minutes" Harley says

"Go to your room. Someone will bring lunch to you." I say

"Pops. Happy likes us bothering him" Peter whines

"Nope. Don't want to hear it Pete. Go to your room" I say

"I'm almost 18" he says

"Yes but you're still 17 and you Harley are still living under our roof so still have to listen to our rules" I say

"Dad" they say looking towards Tony

"Don't look at me. I didn't think you boys would bother Happy but since you did you gotta listen to the old man" Tony says

"Fine. Let's go Harley. We have school work to finish anyway" Peter says

"I thought we already finished" Harley says

Peter glares at him and he just nods.

The two walk off and I just shake my head.

"So lunch" Tony asks causing me to laugh

"Sure why not" I say

We go to the dining room and we take our seats next to each other and Sarah Maria on my other side.

"Pops" she giggles

"Hi monkey." I say

"Where are the trouble twins" Clint asks

"Their room" I say

"Want me to go and take them their lunch" Wanda asks

"Sure" I say

"Uncle Stevie" Mason says

"Yes" I ask

"You tell the story of you and papa again" he asks

"Why don't you get your papa to tell it" I ask

"He tell bad story" he says

"How so" I ask

"He goes one day there was me and Stevie and then there wasn't and then there was again. The end" He says

"Really Buck? You're leaving out all the good stuff" I say

"Well I don't tell a good story so I don't have to tell it again" Bucky says

"How about you Sam. You tell any good stories" I ask

"No. Daddy tells bad stories too. He just says the end now go to sleep" mason says

"Wow. I'm sorry you don't have good story tellers Mason. Uncle Tony isn't a good story teller either. He is as good as your daddy." I say

"Uncle Tony tell better stories" Mason says

"Yeah okay" Tony says

Nat goes to say something but my phone ringing stops her. I excuse myself from the table and go to the bedroom. I answer the call seeing that it is from Mrs. Gonzales.

S-hello
G-hello mr. Stark. This is mrs. Gonzales
S-yes. How are you
G-I am doing alright. I do have a question for you
S-go ahead
G-I know when I came to check in on you all a few months ago you were all talking about maybe adopting again
S-yes. This is true
G-well, would today be too soon
S-why? Is there a kid
G-yes. We got a call from a school. A little boy clover with his mom because his dad left a year after he was born. The little boy was then getting abused by his mom almost everyday until the mom left last night. The boy got himself to school and then told his teacher what happened during a class activity.
S-how old is this boy
G-he's only 4 but he's incredibly smart so he's ahead a few grades. That's also why I thought of your family. There are a few genius' in your family
S-yes well fine me one second please

I remove the phone from my ear and put it on mute. I then go out to the dining room.

"Tony we need to talk" I say

"Okay" he says

He gets up from the table and we go to the bedroom. We sit down on the bed and Tony looks at me probably trying to read my face.

"What's going on" he asks

"Mrs Gonzales is on the phone with me. There's a little boy who has been left by both his parents but also abused by his mother. She wants to know if we would adopt him. He is four years only but extremely intelligent. He's already in school probably first or second grade" I say

"Okay. Put the phone on speaker" Tony says

I nod and unmute the phone and put it on speaker.

T-mrs. Gonzales are you still there? Steve has the phone on speaker so that I can also listen
G-yes I am still here
T-what grade is this boy in and what's his name
G-well he should be in second grade. But they didn't want him that far ahead so they put him in first grade.
T-okay.
G-his name is Grant Edwards Thomas.
S-we'll adopt him
G-great. Thank you so much. I will be over later today with the forms and him if that is okay
S-yes it is perfect. Thank you

I hang up and smile.

"What was that" Tony asks

"His name is our two middle names. It's like he's meant to live with us Tony" I say

"True. Well, we better go tell the others and then get them to leave so they don't overwhelm the little guy" Tony says

"Yeah. Let's go tell Pete and Harley first" I say

"They probably already know." Tony says

"FRIDAY was the sound proof setting on" I ask

"Yes it was Captain Stark" FRIDAY says

"I don't get you Steven" Tony says

"What" I ask

"You don't understand a lot of the modern day let alone our technology but you know how all of Peter's stuff works and how Friday works" Tony says

"I don't know. Those are two things that you and Pete are interested so I took the time to understand them because I love you guys" I say

"Awe. You're so sweet" Tony says

"Whatever. Let's go" I say

We leave the room and go to the boys room. We knock on their door and then go in. When we open the door we see them each wearing a web slinger.

"Stop" Tony says

They turn and see us and quickly hide their wrists behind their backs

"I don't know why you're hiding them. We already saw it." I say

"Okay" they say

"So guys how do you feel about another younger sibling" I ask

"Why" Harley asks

"Well, Underoos social worker Mrs. Gonzales called us and there's this little boy who was abandoned and she asked if we'd adopt him" Tony says

"How old is he" Peter asks

"He's four and incredibly smart. He should be in second grade but they didn't want him to be that many grades ahead so they have him in 1st grade." Tony says

"Wow. I'm cool with it. What's his name and where's he gonna sleep" Harley asks

"His name is Grant and we thought he'd get your guys' room" I say

"There's a small problem" Harley says

"What's that" Tony asks

"This is our room. If he gets our room where are we going to sleep? Bet you didn't think of that" Harley says

"Oh shoot. You're right. We completely forgot about that. How dumb of us" I say

"Wow Steve they think so little of us. I'm actually hurt" Tony says

"I guess they don't want their surprise" I say

"Yeah. I guess not" Tony says

"Woah, what. What surprise" Peter asks

"Well, we have a present for the two of you for turning 18. We were gonna give it to you guys once both of you were 18 but this is rushing things so I guess we could show you now" I say

"Yes please" Peter says

"Okay. Let us go tell the others about Grant first though." Tony says

They nod and the four of us go out to the dining room where everyone is finishing up eating.

"Everyone we have an announcement" I say

"Steven I swear if you say you are leaving the tower I will destroy you" Bucky says

"I'm not leaving buck. Someone else is joining us at the tower" I say

"Who? Please don't say it's the guardians. That little tree freaks me out" Loki says

"No. The guardians are not coming and I don't blame you for not wanting them here. The tree freaks me out too" Tony says

"Who's joining us" Wanda asks

"Another Stark. We're adopting another kid" I say

"Another one? Who" Nat asks

"Grant. He is four years old and left by both his mom and dad. His mom also abused him. He is actually arriving soon. So please leave. We will have a movie night tonight and you all can meet him then" Tony says

"Okay" Sam says

They all leave the floor and it's only Tony, Peter, Harley, Sarah Maria, and me left.

"So the present" Peter asks

"Pops" Sarah Maria squeals

"Hey there monkey. Let's go show these boys their present" I say picking her up

"I don't like this" Tony grumbles

"What don't you like" I ask

"She says pops, har, and pider but not dad. Why not" Tony whines

"Because we're her favorites dad" Harley says

"Maybe you need a nickname for her" I say

"I do have one. It's smiley" Tony says

"That's so bad dad" Peter says

"Hey at least you two have nicknames. He doesn't have a nickname for me" Harley says

"Yes I do. It's annoyance. You know why" Tony asks

"Why" Harley asks

"Cause we're connected" Tony smirks

"Dad. You can't use that line. That's my line. How dare you use my line" Harley says

"All of you be quiet and get in the elevator" I say

They all nod and we get in the elevator.

"Floor 47 please FRIDAY" I say

The elevator starts moving and once it stops we step off. This floor is a living area floor. It's actually a floor we converted into an apartment type area for Peter and Harley.

"What's this" Harley asks

"You're new living space. We figured you're 18 so you can live on your own but you can't move out yet so you have your own floor inside the tower. There's a living room, kitchen, two bathrooms, three bedrooms, and a spare room for whatever you guys want it to be." Tony says

"Sir, Mrs. Gonzales is here" FRIDAY says

"Thank you FRIDAY. We will be to the main floor soon" Tony says

We get on to the elevator and it starts moving again.

"Thank you for the floor" Harley says

"Yeah. Thanks" Peter says

"You're welcome" I say

The elevator stops and the doors open. We step off the elevator and go to the living room. We get there and Mrs. Gonzales is waiting there with a little boy. I set Sarah Maria down in her play pen and then go over to the little boy. I kneel down in front of him and smile.

"Hi. I'm Captain America who are you" I ask

"I'm Grant Edward. Did you know we share a name. I share a name with Iron Man too" Grant says

"Really? That is so cool. How old are you Grant" I ask

"I'm 4. You're now 102 right? But you don't look that old. You look only 33" Grant says

"Yeah I'm 102 and I look young because I was frozen in time. What's your favorite school subject" I ask

"I love history. I loved learning about you and your friend Bucky Barnes. Along with the howling commandos" he says

"Wow. You are really smart. You sure you're only four" I ask

"Yes sir. I'm only four. I turned four seventeen days ago." Grant says

"Woah that is so cool. Do you have a favorite avenger" I ask

"I like Spider-Man, and Captain America, and Hawkeye, and Loki. I know he's not an avenger but I like him" Grant says

"Can I tell you a secret" I ask

"Yeah" he says

"One of your big brothers is Spider-Man" I whisper

He gasps and looks towards Peter and Harley. He then walks over to them and looks even closer.

"Him" he says pointing to Peter

"Yep." I say

"Hi" Grant waves

"Hi Grant. I'm Peter and this is Harley. We're your big brothers. You also have a little sister. Her name is Sarah Maria." Peter says

"What do you like to do" Harley asks

"I like to watch movies, and play with cars, and I like dinosaurs" Grant says

"It just so happens that I have a bunch of cars and Peter has a bunch of dinosaurs. Should we go play" Harley asks

"Yes. Can I go play with them" Grant asks looking at me

"Of course but first we need to introduce you to one more person" I say

"Who" Grant asks

"Me. Iron man" Tony says

"Hi. We share a name. Your middle name is my middle name. I think it's pretty cool how you became iron man. Can I go play now" Grant asks

"Of course you can buddy" Tony laughs

The three boys run off and Tony and I laugh.

"I think he'll do just fine here" Mrs Gonzales says

"I think so too" I say

"Okay you just need to sign some papers and then you are all set" she says

She gives us the papers and Tony and I sign them. We then bid her goodbye and she leaves. Tony goes to the play pen and picks Sarah Maria up and brings her over to the couch. He sits next to me and sets Sarah Maria on his lap. She then scoots over to my lap. Tony pouts so I pick her up and set her back on Tony's lap. She shakes her head and reaches for me. I shake my head and point to Tony.

"Come on Maria. Daddy loves you and wants to cuddle" Tony pleads

"No" Sarah Maria says

"What if I give you mnms" Tony asks

"No" she says

"Sit with pops" I ask

"No" she says

"Do you like no" I ask

"No" she says

"Captain Stark, Bucky is requesting you" FRIDAY says

"What for" I ask

"Mason is wanting a story from you" FRIDAY says

"Tell them they can come to our floor" I say

Ten minutes later the elevator opens and everyone is walking through them. They come to the living room and sit down.

"I did not say all of you could come" I say

"Oh well it's almost dinner time and then movie time" Sam says

"Where is man of spiders and mortal" Thor asks

"They're in their room" I say

"Can you actually go tell them it's time for dinner please. Wait, actually Clint go do it" Tony says

Clint nods and walks off.

"FRIDAY, pull up video of Peter's room" Tony says

The tv turns on and Peter's room shows on the screen. Grant is climbing all over Peter and Harley is pretending to chase him with a dinosaur. The door then opens and Clint walks in.

"What is happening here" Clint asks

"Hawkeye" Grant cheers

He gets off of Peter and runs over to Clint. He proceeds to hug his leg. Clint reached down and picks him up holding him on his hip.

"Hi little dude. Who are you" he asks

"I'm Grant Edward... Peter, Harley what's your last names" Grant asks

"Stark" they says

"I'm Grant Edward Stark. Captain America and Iron Man adopted me. Can you teach me how to shoot a bow" Grant asks

"You have to ask Steve and Tony" Clint says

"Hawkeye, I have a question" Grant says

"Yea" Clint asks

"A secret question" Grant says

"Oh we'll leave" Peter says

Peter and Harley leave the room and they come out her sitting next to me and Tony.

"What's your question" Clint asks

"Can I call you uncle Hawkeye" Grant asks

"Mm, how about uncle Clint? That's what Peter and Harley call me" Clint says

"Okay. What about Captain America and Iron Man. What can I call them? I'm so excited to have two daddy's. My first daddy left me" Grant says

"Well Tony is Dad and Steve is pops. I'm glad that you're excited. Their excited too. Now let's go and get some dinner" Clint says

"Okay" Grant says

We turn the tv to a random channel and Clint walks in with Grant. He set a him on the ground and Grant runs over to us. I pick him up and set him on my lap.

"I love you dad and pops" he says

"We love you too" we say

"Who's making dinner" Harley asks

"Rhodes and Vision are on dinner duty tonight" Tony says

"We ordered pizza" Rhodey says

"Pizza" Mason cheers

He wiggled out of Sam's arms and runs to the kitchen. On his way Bucky picks him up.

"Papa let me go. I want pizza" Mason struggles

"And you'll get pizza. Just calm down" Bucky says

"There's a lot of people here" Grant whispers

"I know. But they're all family" I say

"Do you know who they all are" Tony asks

"Yeah" Grant says

"I like this small being. I want to keep it. It will be mine" Loki says

"Loki, dear brother he belongs to captain America and man of iron" Thor says

"Loki you can't have our children. You are their uncle though" I say

"Why do you guys always get the pure ones" Loki asks

"I don't know. Now let's go eat and then watch a movie" I say

"Story first" Mason yells

"Okay okay. Story first and then movie" I say

"Uncle Tony tell story" Mason says

"It better be a good one dad" Peter says

"Yeah other wise Mason will be mad and you do not want a mad Mason" Sam says

"Alright. Let me eat first" Tony says

We all get our food and eat then head back to the living room. Grant is sitting on Tony's lap and Sarah Maria is back on my lap. Mason is laying on the floor with Peter and Harley. Nat, Bruce, and Vera are on a love seat. Buck and Sam are on the couch with Tony and I. Loki, Thor, and Clint are on the other couch. Wanda and vision are on the other love seat and Rhodey is in the recliner.

"Okay are we ready for the story" Tony asks

"Yes" Mason and Grant cheer

"Okay. This takes place six years ago." Tony says

"Not this story" I groan

"Yes this story Capsicle. Now zip it" Tony says

I groan but let Tony continue.

"Okay so six years ago I was in the living room of my tower and this guy came to see me. He had this folder with him and inside this folder was a bunch of papers with information about a bunch of different people. There was a pirate, a giant, an archer, widow, and a soldier. They were all different from each other but also similar in a way. We were all similar in a way. We were all abandoned and needed a family. When we all first met we hated each other. There was one guy that got on my nerves so much but I think he got on my nerves because I was jealous. He looked better than me, fought better than me, and my father loved him more than he loved me. In fact I loved him more than me. I didn't want to admit that though. So for the longest time I did everything I could to make the soldier mad but he never got mad. Well,
He might've got mad but I could never tell. He was always calm and tried to get stuff done. Eventually we both had enough of bothering each other and hiding how we felt. We talked to each other and bam next thing you know we're dating and getting married. That's how Captain America and Iron Man came to be one" Tony finishes

Mason and Grant clap and I lean over kissing Tony.

"That was beautiful tones" I say

"Thanks" he says

"Thank you uncle Tony. Now movie" Mason smiles

"You're welcome. FRIDAY play The Incredibles" Tony says

The movie starts and Tony and I lean into each other a bit more. As the movie is playing people start to fall asleep. By the time it's over I'm the only one awake. I reposition my self so that I'm leaning against Tony more and then drift off to sleep surrounded by all of those who were abandoned but became bonded together to form on huge and happy family.
