*Steve POV*
Once I know that Peter and Tony are sound asleep I get out of bed and take the stairs down a floor. I walk onto the floor and see Sam, Rhodey, and Bucky watching Golden Girls. I stand there for about ten minutes until I interrupt them.

"How late do you guys stay up watching this" I ask

They all jump and turn towards me.

"Oh my gosh Steve. How long have you been standing there" Bucky asks

"A good ten minutes" I say

"Why" Rhodey asks

"Just because" I say

"Alright well I'm going to head to bed. Good night" Rhodey says

He walks away and I go sit down.

"What's on your mind cap" Sam asks

"How do you know" I ask

"Why else would you come and bother us Steve" Bucky asks

"Okay fine. Not here though" I say

"Alright. Why don't we go to the theatre room" Sam suggests

"Okay" I say

We take the elevator to the theatre room and then sit down.

"So what's going on Steve" Bucky asks

"Uh earlier today when Tony and I almost fought" I start

"Tony said you were fine when he came back up from the lab" Sam says

"He didn't want you all bombarding me so he told you I was okay. I sort of faked it through Bucky's party because it was his day" I say

"What's going on here Steve? You're worrying me" Bucky says

"When Tony and I were talking. I admitted that I didn't want to be around anymore. I felt like there was no need for me and all of my past experiences were starting to haunt me. He told me I should talk to a therapist or go to your support group Sam, but I can't do that. I figured I could talk to you two though." I say

"Of course Cap. We're always here for you. You just say you need to talk and we'll listen" Sam says

"Is this about the Peggy nightmare" Bucky asks

"I think it's more than that. I just keep questioning myself with the what if's. What if I was still the scrawny kid from Brooklyn? What if I never got the serum, what if I walked away from the fights, what if I gave up trying to go to war? What if I never confessed my feelings to Tony?" I say

"You have stop focusing on the what if's Cap. If you focus on the past or the things that didn't happen you're going to miss out on what's actually happening" Sam says

"And what's happening is that you have me back in your life and I'm glad to be back. You have a family in all of us and especially Tony and Peter. You have to be around for them because they're around for you. None of us like seeing you upset or angry Steve. We don't think you are weak when that happens, we just want to help you become happy again. Just because you're a super soldier doesn't mean you aren't human. You have to be able to feel. You have to show emotion because it helps you connect with others and communicate" Bucky says

"How are you back to normal or semi-normal" I ask

"Because I was forced to talk with people. I was forced to become human and no longer act like a robot" Bucky says

"Nothing will ever be back to normal for people like us. We will just have to deal with the things that are thrown our way, but we won't have to deal with them alone. We are all here for each other. You always have the two of us to talk with, Tony to talk with, and even though you hate the idea, you have the support group I run" Sam says

"Yeah. Thank you" I say

"You're welcome. Now you should head back to bed before Tony comes looking for you" Sam says

"Tony's probably asleep" I say

"Steven" we hear

We turn towards the elevator and see Tony stepping off.

"Told ya so" Sam whispers

"Shut up" I whisper back

"What are you three doing up here" Tony asks

"We were just talking Tony. I couldn't sleep and didn't want to bother you or Pete so I went and bothered Sam and Bucky. We came up here so we didn't bother Rhodey" I say

"Yeah. Sam and I were just heading to bed. Goodnight Steve. Good night Tony" Bucky says

"Good night Buck and Sam" I say

They head out and Tony comes and sits down next to me. I change my position so I'm leaning against him and he wraps his arms around me.

"Is Pete still asleep" I ask

"Yeah. He's sound asleep" he says

"That's good" I say

"Are you okay" he asks

"I'm better" I say

"Okay. You wanna head back to bed" he asks

"I'm not going to be able to sleep but sure." I say

"Okay. Let's go." He says

I get up and then Tony does as well. We interlock our fingers and walk to the elevator. We ride it to our floor and step off. We start walking to our room and see the tv on in the living room. We walk over and see Peter laying on the couch barely awake. We go over and crouch down in front of him.

"Hey Pete you okay" I ask

"Yeah" he says

"What's the matter Underoos" Tony asks

"I woke up and saw that neither of you were there. I couldn't fall back asleep so I came out here" Peter says

"Well we were just talking and didn't want to wake you. Let's go back to bed." I say

"Ok" Peter says

He sits up and Tony and I both stand up. Peter then stands up as well and I throw my arm over his shoulders. We walk to Tony's room and we all crawl back into bed. Peter curls into me and falls asleep instantly.

"I love you Steve" Tony mumbles

"I love you too Tony" I say

He leans over Peter and we kiss. He lays back down and scoots closer to Peter so that I can wrap my arm around both of them. I look over and see that Tony is also asleep now. I lay in this position for four hours until Tony wakes up again.

"Good morning Anthony" I say

"Good morning Steven. Did you sleep at all" he asks

"No. I couldn't sleep. What time is it" I answer

"It is 7 in the morning" he responds

"Okay. We should get up. I'm going to go for a run or to the gym. You wake up Peter and the two of you can go work in the lab till I get back and we can go out for breakfast or you can just eat breakfast here" I say

"Okay. Is Nat making breakfast" Tony asks

"She should be. It's only Friday. She has to make all the meals until Monday. On Monday I'm back to cooking" I say

"I still don't know how you convinced Nat to cook for so many days" he laughs

I go to respond but Pete starts groaning and throws the blankets over himself more. I slowly rub his back and he opens his eyes and sits up some.

"Are you okay Pete" I ask

"Yeah" he mumbles

"Are you sure Peter." I ask

"No" he says

"What's the matter Underoos. Normally you're full of energy when you wake up." Tony says

"I don't feel good" Peter says

"Ah. Well do you wanna stay in here or do you wanna go to your room" I ask

"Can I stay in here? This bed is really comfy" Peter says

"Of course Pete. Either your dad or I will check on you through out the day just get some rest. Sorry that we woke you up with our talking" I say

"Uh huh" Peter says half asleep

"Alright bud" Tony says

We both get out of bed and leave the room. We go to the living room and see all of the others.

"Why do you guys always come to our floor before we are up and moving around for the day" Tony asks

"Um because we can. Where's Petey" Clint asks

"He's in Tony's room. He woke up not feeling well. Which reminds me I need to go get medicine for him unless you have something in the medbay Bruce" I ask

"I actually have nothing for a fever surprisingly" Bruce says

"Alright well I'll be back soon" I say

I kiss Tony and then head to the elevator. Before the door closes Sam and Bucky join me.

"Where are you two going" I ask

"We're coming with" Bucky says

"Why" I ask

"Why not" Sam asks

"Whatever" I say

We get to the garage and go to one of the cars. Before I can get in the drivers seat Sam takes it. Bucky climbs in back and I sit in the passenger seat.

"Did you and Tony talk much after we left" Sam asks

"No. Not really. He just asked if I was alright and then we went back down" I say

"And were you alright" Bucky asks

"I was better then I was in the morning thanks to the two of you" I say

"You're welcome. It was our pleasure" Bucky says

"You know Cap, you're gonna owe us big time" Sam says

"I could always kick the two of you out of the tower" I say

"You wouldn't dare" Sam says

"He might kick you out but he'd never kick me out" Bucky says

"You sure there Buck" I ask

"I'm positive" Bucky says

"Ok" I smirk

We get to the store and I go in, grab the medicine, pay for it and go back to the car.

"Where to now" Sam asks

"Burger King and then the tower" I say

"What do you need from Burger King" Sam asks

"Cheeseburgers for Tony" I say

"Isn't that sweet" Bucky comments

"It's revolting" Sam says

"You're just jealous" I retort

"Yeah yeah yeah" Sam says

We go through the Burger King drive thru and then return to the tower. We go to the main floor and I hand Tony the Burger King bag and then I go to Tony's room. I get in there and Pete is awake and on his phone.

"Hey Pete how are you feeling" I ask

"Hi pops. I'm feeling a bit better" he says

"Alright. Well I got you some medicine. So you need to take it and then why don't we go and get you something to eat" I say

"Ok" he says

He takes the medicine and then we walk out to the dining room where everyone is eating breakfast.

"Why is everyone eating breakfast so late" Peter asks

"Because I got a late start on breakfast. What do you want to eat baby spider" Nat asks

"Just some toast please aunt Nat" Peter says

"Alright" she says

Peter and I go to our usual seats and sit down.

"Thank you for the cheeseburgers" Tony says

"You're welcome. I figured you'd enjoy them" I say

"How are you feeling kiddo" Bruce asks

"Better. Sleeping more and the medicine I just took has helped" Peter answers

"How do you know how to take care of a sick child Steve" Bucky asks

"Um, because once I decided to foster and adopt Peter I read a few parenting books so I wouldn't mess up too badly" I say

"Oh gosh that makes you sound so old" Rhodey says

"What? Not wanting to mess up" I ask

"No. Reading parenting books" Rhodey says

"I read a few of them too" Tony says

"It means they care about me" Peter says

"We all care about you too pancake" Rhodey says

"Yeah but you are only my uncle. Not even my favorite uncle" Peter says

"Who's your favorite then Spidey?" Sam asks

"Don't make him choose. That's mean" Vision says

"You're just worried that it's not you" Clint says

"I am perfectly fine with not being Little Einstein's favorite. He does not know me very well" Vision says

"Let's be real here, Nat and I don't need to fight over favorite Aunt because we know his Aunt May was and always will be his favorite and we are tied for second" Wanda says

"That's true" Peter says

"Yes that might be true for you two, but what about us Bambi" Bucky asks

"Fine, Do you want to hear" Peter asks

"Yes" Clint says

"Fine. I'll go in order from favorite to least favorite" Peter says

"Okay" Sam says

"Uncle Bucky, Uncle Bruce, Uncle Thor, Uncle Falcon, Uncle Clint, Uncle Rhodey, Vision. Sorry Vision, but I do not know you well and you're a bit freaky" Peter says

"It's okay Little Einstein. I understand" Vision says

"How is Bruce and Thor above me" Sam asks

"Same here" Clint asks

"Uh because. Uncle Bruce loves science and I can talk to him about it when dad isn't around and Uncle Thor is hilarious when he does not understand Earth references and such" Peter says

"I know science" Clint says

"No you don't Clint. Just be okay with it" Tony says

"Fine" Clint grumbles

"Dad, How long does it take for adoption papers to go through" Peter asks

"It can take a while Underoos. Why?" Tony asks

"I'm just wondering. How long has it been since you've signed the papers" He asks

"It's only been three months Pete" I say

Peter is about to say something when my phone ringing interrupts him. I look and see it is Mrs. Gonzales, the social worker. I get up from the table and go to my room. I then answer the phone.
S-Hello
G-Hi, Mr. Rogers, it is Mrs. Gonzales the social worker for Peter Parker
S-Of course. How may I help you?
G-I am just calling to check in on Peter. It is just something I have to do every once in a while during the fostering process and then once more a month after he is officially adopted.
S-Oh okay. He is doing alright.
G-How was going back to school for him?
S-That was difficult. He didn't even make it to his first class without getting picked on. I picked him up and withdrew him from the school. I am actually going to start homeschooling him and his two friends on Monday with the help of Tony.
G-I see. Did Peter agree to this?
S-He did. He actually asked if we could homeschool him before he went back, but I told him he at least had to go for one day and see if it would be a good day. After I heard what happened I told him I'd homeschool him and he was relieved.
G-Very well. As long as it was something he wanted and you did not force it upon him. Now, I understand that you and Mr. Stark have to go on missions since you are the Avengers. What happens to Peter?
S-He usually stays with a friend of ours in the tower. Either Pepper Potts who is the CEO of Tony's business and his good friend, or Dr. Bruce Banner when we do not need him on the missions.
G-Good. Well it sounds like you are all doing really well and that Peter has a lot of people in his life that care about him.
S-He does. He really does.
G-Well I will let you go. Sorry for interrupting your day. The next time I check in will probably be an in person visit to see where he is living and such. Have a great rest of your day.
S-Same to you. Good bye.

I hang up and return to the others. I get there and the are just finishing up breakfast.

"Who was calling you Pops that you couldn't answer the phone here" Peter asks

"It was Mrs. Gonzales. I did not need her hearing any of you supposed adults acting like children" I say

"I am a child" Peter says

"I know you are. I'm talking about Sam, Clint, and Bucky, and Tony" I say

"I am not a child" Tony and Bucky both exclaim

"Yes. You both are" Nat says

"Oh I forgot to add Nat and Rhodey to that list" I say

"Not cool Steven" Nat glares

"You don't scare me Natasha." I glare back

"Which is extremely annoying" Nat says

"Get over it" I say

"And to think we're the children" Sam whispers

Nat and I both glare at him and he throws his hands up in surrender.

"You two are dangerous together" Bucky comments

"Can we watch a movie or something? We're all done breakfast" Peter asks

"Of course we can Pete. Rhodey and Clint will do the dishes and the rest of us will go watch a movie. Nat you get to choose the movie this time" I say

"Woah, Why us" Rhodey asks looking towards Tony

"Don't look at me. I don't make the rules. He is in charge. I just pay for everything" Tony says

"Whatever" Rhodey grumbles

Rhodey and Clint start doing the dishes and the rest of us go to the living room. Nat selects a movie and we all find somewhere to sit. I take a seat next to Tony on the couch and before we can cuddle Peter sits down between the two of us cuddles up next to me and puts his feet on Tony's lap.

"You comfortable there Underoos" Tony laughs

"Yup" Peter smiles

"You're lucky we love you Pete" I smile

"Love you guys too" He smiles

We spend the rest of the day and night watching movies and eating Pizza. Finally around 1 in the morning I call it quits. Everyone heads to their respective floors and only Tony, Peter, and I are left.

"Alright Pete, time for you to head to bed. You're in your own bed tonight." I say

"Why" Peter groans

"Because I am also going to be sleeping in my own room tonight as well. Your dad might not like that, but he will have to deal" I say

"Fine." Peter gives in

He heads off to bed and I turn the tv off. Before I can get up Tony wraps his arms around me.

"Tony it is time to sleep. get off of me" I say

"No. You're making me sleep alone" He whines

"That's because you are an adult and should be sleeping in your own room" I say

"But Steven we're together" He says

"But Anthony We are not married" I say

"You're such a capsicle" Tony says

"I also don't want to keep you awake if I can't sleep. I'm probably going to head to the lab to my art studio" I say

"I'll join you. I'm not tired anyways so I'll work on some stuff that Pepper needs me to get done" He says

"Fine, but one condition, no bothering me and trying to figure out what I am working on. If I want you to see it, I'll show you" I say

"Whatever you say. Now lets go" Tony says

We go to the elevator and ride it to the lab. Once it stops we step off and go to our respective places. After quite some time I finish with one of my sketches and walk out from where Tony has my studio set up. I walk over to tony and see that he is asleep at his desk. I grab his tablet from his hand and place it on his desk. I pick him up bridal style and carry him to the couch in the lab. I lay him down and put a blanket over him. I then go to the elevator and ride it to the main floor. I make myself a cup of coffee and go sit on the couch in the living room. I finish my coffee and grab my book from the coffee table. I then soon drift off to sleep in the middle of a chapter.
