*Steve POV*
Bang bang bang
I look out the window and see shots being fired at the plane I'm in.
"Headquarters do your read? It's captain America" I say
"Steve Steve are you okay" I hear
"Peggy" I ask
"Yeah Steve. Are you alright" she asks
"I'm fine. But I need to land the plane" I say
"Okay. I'll find a place what are your coordinates" she asks
"There's no time. I need to land in the water or I'm going to hit New York" I say
"Steve" she starts
"No Peggy. This is my choice I have no other options" I say
"Alright" she says
"I'm going to need a raincheck on that dance" I say
"Alright. Next Saturday" she says
"Okay. But I still don't know how to dance" I say
"If you'll be there I'll teach you" she says
"They're going to have to play a slow song or I'll step on your to-" I start but soon engulfed by water.
I try to get out of the plane but the glass won't break. I keep punching but soon I'm engulfed by darkness.

I shoot up from my bed and go to my bathroom. I hop in a cold shower and after thirty minutes I step out and get dressed. I pack a few things in a bag and then take the secret stairwell to the garage. I get in the Camaro and drive to the airport. Once there I buy a plane ticket to London. After some hours I'm in London and in a taxi on my way to my destination. Once I get there, I walk through it and find the spot. Once I do I sit down and place the flowers, that I bought on the way, on the ground.

"Hey Peggy. I'm really missing you. I'm missing you a lot. I had nightmares about the crash for two years. Then I confided in Tony and it helped. I just had another one today. I don't know why. I really wish we could've had that dance. Sharon gave me your dog tags. I know you never wore them but you still had them. I wear them on my wrist. It allows for me and you to have that dance together once I learn how to. Oh yeah, tony and I are dating now. I mean I'm his boyfriend but we haven't really gone on a date yet. I know him and I never really liked each other but now we do. We are each other's rock. We also are adopting a son together. His name is Peter. He's 15 but extremely smart. You would've liked him. Gosh I miss you Peggy" I say tears starting to fall

I just look at her grave and sit there in silence allowing myself to feel her presence again.

*Tony POV*
I wake up in the morning and look at the clock, 5 AM.

"FRIDAY is everyone still asleep" I ask

"Everyone but Captain Rogers and Daggers" she says

"Where are they at" I ask

"Daggers is in the gym and Captain Rogers left the building. He had what I presume is a nightmare" she answers

"Okay. Thank you" I say

I pull out my phone and call Steve but he doesn't pick up. I go to the gym and walk over to Nat.

"Nat do you know where Steve is" I ask

"No. Isn't he asleep" she asks

"No. FRIDAY said he had a nightmare. It's a little strange though because he hasn't had one since him and I got together and it's been a whole month." I say

"How long has he had the nightmares for" Nat asks

"You're not going to like the answer" I say

"Why" she asks

"He's been having them for two years. Since Peggy died" I say

"Why didn't he talk to anyone" she asks

"He said no one would've understood" I say

"Oh. Wait, their about Peggy and his crash? That's where he's at" Nat says

"What" I ask

"He probably went to London to Peggy's grave" she says

"I gotta go. Watch Peter for me" I say

"I don't think so Stark. Stop" Nat says

"Why" I ask

"Leave him alone. He needs his time to talk to Peggy again. He's okay. You can call him later tonight. Give him space" she says

Before I can say something FRIDAY interrupts, "sir, Peter seems to be having a nightmare"

"S***" I curse

"What" Nat asks

"Steve is the one who usually calms him down" I say

"Come on Tony, you can do this" she says

I walk out and go to Peter's room. I sit down next to him on his bed and rub his back gently.

"It's okay Peter, Its dad. Come on Underoos calm down, its just a dream. lets go buddy. Calm down and wake up. Everything will be okay" I say softly

Peter shoots up and then clings to me. I wrap my arms around him and let him cry.

"Hey underoos what's wrong" I ask

"where's pops" he asks

"Pops went on a trip. he'll be back later. What was the nightmare about" I ask

"It was Aunt May and Uncle Ben. They w-were tr-trapped. I w-was in my s-sp-spider man suit. I was s-supposed to save them b-but I di-didn't. It's my fault. M-my fault th-that they're dead" he stutters

"Hey Peter it's not your fault. Not your fault at all. I know exactly how you feel. My parents died when I was young, around your age. I blamed myself all the time. I blamed myself for not spending enough time with my mother. For not trying to get closer to my dad. Not only did I blame myself, but I also blamed your pops. I blamed him for taking my dad away. For me always getting compared to him. I finally realized that it wasn't my fault nor pops fault. They were killed by your Uncle Bucky and I blamed him. It then took me a while to realize it wasn't his fault either but HYDRA's. No one's death is your fault. You might think it for awhile but it's not. If you ever need reassuring you can always come talk to me, pops, or even any of your aunts and uncles. We all have felt like this." I say

"Okay. Thanks dad" he says

"You're welcome now you want to try and fall back asleep" I ask

"No. I don't think I'll be able to" he says

"Okay. Let's go down to the lab. We have a suit to make if I am recalling properly" I say

"yeah let's go" Peter smiles

"first you need to get checked out again and then eat some breakfast" we hear

We turn towards the door and see Nat.

"Really Aunt Nat?" Peter groans

"Yes baby spider. Medbay now. I'll make breakfast. What do you want" she asks

"Pancakes and bacon please" Peter says

"Alright now go" Nat says

Peter and I stand up and go to the elevator. We take it to the medbay. We go to the main room there and Bruce is already there.

"Hi Uncle Bruce. Sorry if me getting up early has you up early" Peter says

"It's okay kiddo. I was up already because of Natasha. She couldn't sleep and I woke up as she was leaving the room" Bruce says

"Ok" Peter says

Bruce checks him out, hands him some pills, then we all go to the main floor. We walk to the kitchen, but Nat quickly shoos us away so we go to the living room. Not too long later pretty much everyone is awake and in the living room.

"Uh Tony can I talk with you" Bucky asks

"Yeah. Lets go to the roof. None of you eavesdrop or I will send Steve after you and you know how he is when he's mad" I threaten

"chill Stank. None of us are going to eavesdrop. The only person who might is Clint" Rhodey says

"If he does we'll all destroy him" Sam says

"Geesh" Clint says

I shake my head at them all and Bucky and I go to the elevator. We ride it up to the roof. When we get there we go to where I have some chairs set up and we sit down.

"what's up" I ask

"first off, where's Steve" he asks

"I think he went to London. He had a nightmare again" I say

"And you didn't go after him" Bucky asks

"Nat told me not to and Nat scares me. The only one not scared of her is Steve" I say

"Oh. Well, I um heard what you said to Bambi" he says

"How" I ask

"Uh I couldn't sleep at all so I was in the living room on this floor because I was also getting some food. I heard screaming from Peter's room and as I got closer to his room I heard your voice. I listened for sometime and then when Nat also arrived I went to my room." He says

"Oh. I'm sorry for what I said" I say

"It's okay. I know I hurt you and your family and I'm sorry. I mean really sorry. I understand if you don't want me here and if you were only letting me stay here because of Steve. I can go and find somewhere else to live" He says

"Bucky, when I said I don't blame you anymore I mean it. I forgive you for what happened to my parents because it wasn't you. You were being controlled. You have changed. Honestly, I think this is the right place for you. You have someone you can relate to and understands you. You also have the opportunity to help people now. You are an Avenger now. You are part of this family and there's no escaping" I say

"Thank you Tony. That means a lot" Bucky says

"Of course. For a lot of us, this is the only family we have left and I know you were the only family Steve had for quite sometime so my boyfriends family is my family. Forever" I say

"Now let's get back to our family" Bucky smiles

"Yeah. Do you think I should go to Steve" I ask

"No. Nat's right. Let him be." Bucky says

"OK" I say

We stand up and bro-hug and then go back to the elevator. We ride it down to the main floor and go to the dining room where everyone is eating breakfast. we both sit down and everyone looks at us.

"What" Bucky asks

"Is everything okay" Sam asks

"Yeah. Everything is fine. Why wouldn't it be" I ask

"No reason" Rhodey says

"James Rhodes! Bucky is not dangerous and is family. I expect you to be kind and respectful to him or I am kicking you out of this tower" I say

"Okay, okay, Tony. I'm Sorry" Rhodey says

"Woah, Tony calm down. You haven't called him James in forever" Pepper says walking in

"Hi Pepper, you are here really early" I say

"It's 7. I am on time. FRIDAY told me that you were feeling tense so I came up here to make sure everything is okay" Pepper says

"Everything is just fine. No one slept very well so we're all a little on edge" I say

"Okay. Well I'm heading to my office. Cinnamon if you need somewhere to take a break from everyone you can always come to my office. It's on Floor 28." Pepper says

"Ok. Thank you" Peter says

She walks out and we all go back to eating.

"Wait, where is Captain Rogers" Vision asks

"He had to go to an art convention. I convinced him to sell a few pieces of his art and people were impressed so they asked him to go to an art convention and bring some of his favorite pieces" Nat says

"He went without me? I kept on trying to get him to sell his art and when he does he goes to a place without me" Sam asks

"Oh well so sad" Clint says

"Clint why are you so childish" Bucky asks

"because he is acting how Pietro acted to try and fill a whole" Wanda says

"I am not" Clint says

"Who's Pietro" Peter asks

"He was my brother bug. He died in a battle." Wanda says

"oh" Peter says

"Alright, what are the plans for today" Sam asks

"Well Peter and I were going to work in the lab" I say

"That's so boring" Nat says

"Well what were your thoughts? Remember, Underoos shouldn't be doing a lot of strenuous activity" I say

"Dad" Peter groans

"Oh come on Tony, let him live a little" Nat says

"You might want to ask your boyfriend. He is the one who gave the orders" I say

"Bruce?" Nat asks

"No Nat. I know you want him to train with you all but no" Bruce says

"No. I didn't want to train. I wanted to go to floor 40" Nat says

"Nat that is a lot of core exercising. No." Bruce says

"Ugh" Nat groans

"So Peter and I are going to the lab" I say

"No. Don't take my baby spider away from me" Nat whines

"Nat, get over it" I say

"Yo did you guys realize that Wanda, Bucky, Peter, Clint, and Sam disappeared" Rhodey says

"Where did they go" I ask

"They went to the elevator" Bruce says

"F.R.I.D.A.Y where did they go" Nat asks

"They have left the building" FRIDAY says

"Do you know where they're going" I ask

"No. None of them have a tracker" FRIDAY says

"Fine. Call Underoos" I say

"Calling Underoos" FRIDAY says

C-Hello, You have reached the phone of Peter Stark. He cannot get to the phone right now.
T-Give Peter the phone please Clint
C-He cannot get to the phone right now
T-Where are you all at?
P-Uncle Clint, give me my phone
C-ssh Petey.
B-Clint give Bambi his phone or so help me
P-Hi dad what's up
T-Where did you all go?
P-We went for a walk. We were getting bored.
T-Did you want to work in the lab still?
P-uh is it okay if I hang out with people?
T-what people?
P-dodo bird, bird brain, buccaneer, and Scarlet
T-Go ahead. How do you know what their names are on my AI?
P-I asked FRIDAY
T-Alright. Have fun, Stay safe, and listen to buccaneer. He's in-charge of you
P-Okay. Bye dad. Love you

I hang up and I go to the kitchen. As I get done washing dishes my phone rings. I look and see that it is Steve. I go to my room and answer.

T-hey Steve
S-Tony?
T-Steve what's wrong
S-I need you
T-alright. I'll be there soon. I need you to go to the settings in your phone and turn on your location so I can find you
S-okay

I end the call and go to the living room.

"Nat, Steve just called. I'm going to him. Peter is hanging with the others today. When they all get back you are in charge of him" I say

"Okay. Be safe. Both of you" she says

"Will do" I say

I rush to my lab and get one of my suits on and then let FRIDAY guide me to where Steve is. We arrive at a cemetery and I allow the suit to come off and collapse into a small container. I pick it up and place it in my pocket. I walk to where Steve is sitting and sit down next to him. I wrap my arm around him and he leans into me.

"What happened" I ask

"I had a nightmare about the crash again. my first thought was to see Peggy again. I wanted to feel her presence. I miss her Tony. I miss her a lot" he says

"I know you do. I know you will never forget her but this isn't healthy. I know I'm not the person to be telling you that, but it isn't. I think you should talk to a therapist" I say

"They won't understand Tony. No one will. No one has had to deal what I've dealt with. Not even Bucky" he says

"Alright. Come on" I say

"Where" he asks

"Somewhere. Now let's go" I say

We stand up and hold hands. We start walking down the sidewalk until we get to the location. We go in and I feel Steve's grip tighten.

"Steve, Cap, Capsicle, Steven" I say trying to grasp his attention

"Huh? What" he asks

"You okay" I ask

"Why are we at a club Tony? You know I can't get drunk" he says

"I know. It's not to get drinks. I'm pretty sure you and I had a date. Plus you also kinda owe Peggy a dance" I say

"No Tony. I can't do this" he says

"Do you have the dog tags" I ask

"Always. I never take them off unless we are fighting creatures and then they go in a pocket" he says

I let go of his hand and go over to the dj and request a slow song. He agrees and turns one on. I go back over to Steve and grab his hand. I then walk to a spot on the dance floor that is far from everyone. I place his arms around my waist and I place mine on his shoulders and we start swaying back and forth. I lean my head on his chest and as we dance I start feeling wetness on my head. I look up and Steve is crying. I wipe his tears away and pull him close to me.

"I love you Steven Grant. So does Peggy" I say

"I love you too Anthony Edward" he says

The song finishes and we share a kiss. We then leave the club and I call a taxi. We get in and I have it take us to a hotel. We walk in and I get a hotel room. We go to the room and go in. Steve goes to the bed and sits down. I sit behind him and start massaging him.

"You need to relax. You're really tense" I say

Steve doesn't say anything. I sigh and continue massaging him. After a while I stop and go and sit next to him. I look at his hands and he's fiddling with Peggy's dog tags. He takes them off his wrist and then takes his off from around his neck too. He puts them in his pocket and then lays back.

"What's wrong Steve" I ask

"The crash, it's not the only thing I have nightmares about" he says

"What do you mean" I ask

"The last time I heard Peggy is not the only thing that keeps me up at night" he says

"What else" I ask

"You. When I watched you fall from the wormhole in New York was when I confirmed my feelings for you. From that experience I have dreams where I'm tied up and someone tortured me to where I'm almost dead, makes me watch them kill you and then they leave" he says

"Oh Steve. I'm so sorry. I didn't know." I say

"No one did. Gosh. I'm such a mess." He stresses

I lay down as well and curl into him.

"Why don't we get some rest" I say

"I guess" he say

I play with his hair some and he soon fall asleep. Once I know that he is sound asleep I drift off to sleep as well.
