Miku's POV:

FLASHBACK:

"Miku! Wake up my little Miku!" Whispered my mom.

"Momma? What is it?"

"It's your birthday!" Cried mom.

I sat up in bed and rubbed my eyes. It was my birthday!

"But mommy...why is it still dark outside?" I asked

"Because I wanted to wake you up before the sun was awake." mom smiled. "And look at the morning stars."

"Okay!" I jumped up.

"Let's bring a snack and blankets." Mom suggested.

"YEAH!" I yelled hopping off my bed.

We snuck down to the pantry, grabbed a bag of popcorn and Oreos and went outside onto the porch. Mom sat down on the porch swing and I cuddled in next to her

We sat for a few hours before Mikuo came outside. 

"Mom what's for breakfast?" He asked.

"Whatever Miku wants!" My mom replied patting my head.

"I want PANCAKES!!!" I announced.

Mikuo rolled his eyes and re-entered the house

"Pancakes it is!" My mom laughed.

"Mommy?" I asked in a small voice.

"Yes my darling?"

"Why doesn't oni-chan like me?"

My mother's eyes looked sad, they seemed disturbed.

"Well...I think he may be a little jealous. You see...he used to be the baby and got all the attention. Now that your here you're the baby and get lots of attention."

"But I don't want atten...atten...atennon!!! Oni-chan can have it cause it will make him happy!" I declared.

"Look Miku!" My mom cried standing up and pointing.

I stood up on the porch swing and gazed towards the sky. 

"A falling star!" I voiced.

"Make a birthday wish Miku!" Momma said.

I closed my eyes and folded my hands and made a wish.

I wished that Mikuo would be happy and love me, and I wished that I could be friends with Len forever.

End Flashback.

"Stupid alarm clock." I grumbled hitting the "off" button. Time to get ready for school AGAIN.

I got up and brushed my hair/teeth.  Mikuo isn't home today, he had to leave early to go to some sort of sport practice.

I grabbed a piece of toast and ran out the door.

Len was waiting for me outside the school.

"Hi Len." I greeted him.

"Hi Miku! Happy Birthday!" Len shouted.

I smiled. "Thanks!"

Len's POV:

I need to keep my mouth shut, I might ruin the surprise at any minute.

Me and Rin have a whole plan. We're going to bring Miku home, my mom is making her a cake for our surprise party. She even said that she would give us money so we could all go to the theatre and watch a movie!

I had a hard time not telling her what was going on all day especially when school was out and we were gathering our things

"Hey Len?" She said.

"Y...yeah?" I replied nervously.

"Do you think you could come over today?" Miku asked.

Shoot! What do I say!?

"Um...actually Rin got some sort of special day off today so I think I actually have to go home..." I started.

"Oh! That's okay! Maybe some other time?" Miku gushed, if I hadn't had the party planned I would have felt guilty.

"Well, maybe you could come over my house?" 

Miku's face lit up a little. "Okay!"

We reached my house. I swung the gate open and we walked up the little path to the door. I paused a minute and then knocked waited two more seconds and then opened the door. Miku followed me into the kitchen and we put our stuff down.

Then my mom and Rin jumped out.

"Happy birthday!" They screamed.

Miku's hands flew to her mouth and she laughed happily.

Rin ran over to her and gave her a bear hug. "Surprise!" She cried.

"O my gosh!" Miku laughed again. "Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU!"

My mom got the cake out of the fridge. 

"I hope vanilla is okay?" She asked. She usually makes chocolate cakes but she told me Miku might be more of a vanilla person.

"Yes! You didn't have to make that!" Miku cried. She was absolutely delighted though. 

"Okay, what do we do first?" Rin asked aloud. "Go to the "place" or have cake?"

"The place!" I voted.

"Place? What place!?" Miku asked.

"Alright, here you go. Make sure you get as many snacks as possible!" My mom winked, handing us a bunch of money.

"Where are we going?" Miku asked, but we all completely ignored her question.

Then we walked out the door, dragging Miku behind us.

We were almost their and Rin asked a question I had been wondering myself.

"Should we blindfold her?" she whispered to me. 

"I don't know...She might be able to tell where we are going when we get close since its so big."

Miku looked at us. "What are you whispering about?" She asked slyly.

Rin and I looked at each other. Rin put her hand in her pocket and drew out the cloth. I nodded.

"What are you guys doing?" Miku inquired.

We jumped at Miku.

"Yaaaah!" I yelled.

Rin got the blindfold around her and we started walking her along the road.

"What is going on!" Miku cried.

"We can't let you ruin the surprise until we get their." Rin explained.

We walked arm in arm to the theatre and once we were inside, we undid the blindfold.

Miku's hands again flew to her mouth. "WHAAAAA!?"

"Pick a movie!" Rin laughed.

"Really!?" Miku's eyes were shining.

"Yeah it's your birthday!" I said. "Use your birthday powers!"

"Okay...um how about Dolittle? Or that Sonic movie?"

Not five minutes later we were in the room, watching the Sonic movie, and eating our weight in candy and popcorn. Not to mention we had HUGE sodas.

The movie was over and I liked it pretty well. I'm not going into details cause I don't want to spoil it.

(A/N: And also because I haven't even watched that movie. I just thought it would be funny for Miku to watch a movie with a SEGA character.)

I think Miku and Rin liked it a lot too.

"Okay now we better get home, my mom is dying to give you your cake." I rolled my eyes.

Miku laughed.

When we got home my mom had the cake on the counter with candles in it. She also had the presents Rin and I got Miku.

Miku didn't even notice the presents.

"Alright sit!" My mom cried. "Lets sing so we can eat the cake!"

We all sat down and sang Happy Birthday to Miku.

"Alright blow out the candles!" Rin squealed.

Miku closed her eyes and put her hands together. Then she opened her eyes, leaned really close to the cake and blew out the candles.

"YAY!" Rin yelled and clapped her hands. I just smiled.

My mom got out a knife and cut us each a piece of the cake.

"Let's do presents now too!" I announced.

"Presents!?" Miku cried looking up in astonishment.

"Of course silly!" Rin laughed. "You don't think we would throw you a party and not give you presents do you?" Rin jumped off the stool and grabbed her present. "Here this one's from me."

"Thank you!" Miku smiled, taking the bag.

"You haven't even opened it yet!" Rin laughed.

Miku opened her gift. First she pulled out a small box that had a bunch of bracelets in it. Then came a giant squishy and water bottle stickers. Rin had put her card at the bottom. Miku opened it and read it quickly.

"Awww thanks Rin!" She said as she gave Rin a big hug. "I DO want to be your friend too."

"Now mine!" I yelled grabbing the other bag.

Miku smiled and reached inside. She pulled out a cake mix. She smiled questioningly at me. I should probably mention my present was mostly a joke present. Then she pulled out cupcake wrappers and powdered sugar. The next time she put her hand in she smiled really wide, and then laughed. She laughed really hard. she almost dropped the bag and had to put her hands over her mouth to stifle her laughter.

I smiled.

"Len what did you get her!" Rin shouted. "What is it!"

Miku, still shaking a little from laughter, pulled a banana out of the bag. "Is...this...for...me...or...for...you?" She gasped.

"I had to make sure it would happen again soon." I shrugged.

Miku coughed and then started laughing again. 

"WHAT!?" Rin shouted.

"Banana...cupcakes..." Miku choked.

Rin stared at me for a minute. "LEN!!! WHY WOULD YOU GET HER A PRESENT THAT SHE HAS TO MAKE FOR YOU!!! WHAT KIND OF TERRIBLE FRIEND ARE YOU!!!"

"Hey it was a joke!" I defended myself. "And It's not all I got her."

Miku finally stopped laughing and peered into the bag. She reached in and pulled out a picture frame that had the leek from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 on the side.

"Why would you get her a picture frame without a picture!!!" Rin sighed exasperatedly.

"Because I didn't HAVE a picture." I retorted.

"I think its nice!" Miku chimed in, preventing another fight.

"There's one more thing." I said.

Miku reached into the bag one last time and pulled out my card. Inside was a gift card to the chocolate store we had went to before.

I had written a pretty simple birthday card:

Happy Birthday Miku! I hope you liked your party as much as I liked having it for you. I'm really glad you're my best friend and I hope we can stay close forever.

Miku read my card and smiled.

"I'm glad too. I think you and Rin and I will all be friends forever and ever!"

"Awwwww!" Rin threw her arms around Miku. "C'mon Len birthday group hug!" She yelled as she grabbed me and pulled me into their hug.

I heard a click.

"Whoops, must have left the sound on..." My mom mumbled as she put her phone away.

"Mom..." I whined.

"Well don't you want a picture?" She asked, indicating the empty frame.

"We should probably bring Miku home now..." Rin sighed sadly.

"Aw man!" I groaned.

"We don't want her family thinking we kidnapped the birthday girl!" My mom yelled.

Miku laughed happily and carefully put all her presents back into their bags.

We drove her home and just like last time, she stood on the steps and waved to us until we were out of sight.
