Phantom was running, he had to find somewhere to hide before he got caught, he hated it when this happened. Phantom ducked inside a decrepit building and he quietly sighed, he cursed his luck when his phone rang. He quickly took it out and looked at the caller ID, it was Robin, he answered it and put it to his ear.

He whispered, "Didn't you have a mission?"

Robin sounded confused, "Why are you whispering?"

"Doesn't matter, did something happen?"

"Yeah, the team and I are in a fight and we're losing, we need help."

Phantom looked around the corner and saw the Fentons, Sam, and Tucker getting closer to him. He hid again and spoke, "I'll be there as soon as I can." Phantom hung up and he moved around the corner again and shot at the ghost hunters, he managed to damage their equipment before they shot him.

Phantom ducked around the corner again before looking at his injuries, he had some cuts, a deep cut above his right eye, and his arm just got shot. He mentally sighed before he peaked around the corner, he smirked when he saw that he destroyed their tracker. Phantom got a text, Robin sent him his location, Phantom took a deep breath and teleported.

He was in a large warehouse, he didn't know nor care why the team was there, once he helped the team he was leaving. Phantom quickly spotted the team fighting a purple guy, Phantom recognized him, his name was Parasite. He saw Parasite try to attack the team by charging at them and Phantom moved, he appeared between Parasite and the team and he kicked Parasite in the chest.

The villain went flying backward before he caught himself and he looked at Phantom, the teen put his hands in his pockets. "Care to try that again?"

Parasite didn't look impressed, he was already injured and he didn't look like much of a threat. "Another annoying kid to get in my way, so what powers do you have?"

Phantom smirked, "Looks like you're about to find out." Parasite attacked Phantom and the halfa dodged his attack before punching him in the face.

Artemis shouted, "Don't let him touch you!"

"Yeah, because my plan was to just let him catch me." Phantom thought for a second, "Actually, that's not a bad idea." The young heroes looked absolutely stunned and before anyone could do anything Parasite managed to grab onto Phantom's wrist.

Parasite laughed a little, "Wow, you're actually pretty strong kid, and you've got some interesting powers." Phantom phased through Parasite to get away from him and Parasite seemed to be adjusting to the new powers he got. "I don't know what you are but I like it, beating all of you will be easy now."

The heroes looked worried but Phantom looked completely indifferent, "You sure about that?"

Parasite looked slightly confused before he started phasing through the floor, he started freaking out a little. "What is this, what did you do to me?"

"Are you kidding me, do you have any idea how hard it is to control my powers, did you seriously think it would be that easy? You could phase through the floor at any moment, you could drop out of the air mid flight, hell, you could literally freeze yourself if you aren't paying attention."

Parasite managed to pull himself out of the floor and he started to shiver as he looked at Phantom. "I should know how to use your powers, why don't I know how to use your powers?"

Phantom shrugged, "Probably because you have to be dead to use them, it's one of the down sides to having ghost powers."

Kid Flash looked shocked, "Wait, are you really a-."

Phantom cut him off, "Yes I'm a ghost, how have none of you figured that out yet?" The heroes were silent and Phantom rolled his eyes before he looked at Parasite, "You're in for one hell of a time."

Parasite looked at him, "I give up, I surrender, just make it stop."

Phantom didn't look impressed, "Doesn't work like that, ghost powers aren't exactly easy to control and you don't have enough time to learn how to use them."

Parasite continued to shiver and he started going through the floor again, "Make it stop, just make it stop."

Phantom shrugged, "Fine." Phantom appeared behind Parasite and knocked him out, "Ghost powers don't work too well if you're unconscious."

Phantom looked at the heroes and they were all just staring at him and he was way too tired to care. Artemis was the first to speak, "How did you do that?"

"I didn't do anything and it's not my fault that my powers aren't normal."

Phantom was starting to get dizzy now, whether from the blood loss or something else he didn't know. Superboy spoke, "But how can you be a ghost, I thought they didn't exist."

Phantom could tell he was starting to black out now, that wasn't good, "Long story, I don't think you want to know."

Miss Martian spoke, "Why wouldn't we want to know?"

Phantom could barely think anymore, his vision was swimming and he quickly lost the fight for consciousness. Phantom collapsed and Robin immediately ran to him, the injuries he had told the hero that something had happened. Parasite didn't exactly get many hits in while fighting Phantom and the blood had started to dry in some places.

Then it clicked, the reason Phantom was whispering when he called was because he was being hunted and he got the injuries at the same time. The team didn't hesitate to take Phantom back to the mountain, they just hoped he'd be okay.
