I heard her scream pierce through the air as she fell.

It seemed to crack the air around us as the sound of her hitting the ground was heard.

There was silence, then a scream.

Aaron's POV

"Sigherra! Listen to me! This is Ein! Your brother!" I desperately shrieked.

"Sigherra!" Lily's voice called from behind me. "You can fight the forever potion!"

Her eyes flashed back to their grey-blue for a moment, and I started to panic.

Normally, when a person with a forever potion on them has their eyes return to normal the potion is permanent.

I heard Lily take a sharp intake of air as she calmly walked towards Sigherra, her expression unreadable.

When she spoke her voice was loud and clear.

"Cameron sent you to kill your brother? How about you kill me in his place. I will sacrifice my life in exchange for the safety of my friends." Lily stated, slightly narrowing her eyes at Sigherra.

"You are an enemy. I do not make deals with the enemy. I destroy the enemy." Sigherra said and walked towards Lily, but still, Lily did not move.

"Go ahead." Lily stated firmly. "Kill me. Prove to everyone that you are stronger than your enemies." She said it like a challenge, but her expression was unreadable.

Sigherra continued walking towards Lily, knife in hand.

But Lily didn't look afraid.

"Kill me." She challenged.

Sigherra lunged at Lily with the knife and right before the knife could come in contact with Lily's skin, the knife was knocked from Sigherra's grasp.

"You really aren't trying, are you?" Lily asked. "If you wanted to do as Cameron ordered, I'd be dead by now."

"Shut up." Sigherra growled and grabbed the knife again. "You talk too much."

"Aaron." Ein's voice came weakly, and I saw that Cameron was right behind Ein, a knife to his throat.

"Don't you fucking dare!" I hissed, stepping towards Cameron and Ein.

"Don't move or he dies." Cameron warned, smiling like a clown.

"Aaron!" Lily shrieked, and I turned in time to see her slip off the edge of something that I swore wasn't there a moment before.

"Lily!" Sigherra screamed, running to the edge of whatever it is Lily slipped from.

I guess Lily falling made Sigherra snap back to reality.

"Oh, my Irene! Aaron, get over here!" Sigherra screeched.

I peered over the edge of what Lily had fallen from and saw her unconscious on the ground about 30-35 feet below.

There didn't seem to be too much blood, so I'm sure she's going to be okay.

I turned back to where Ein and Cameron were and saw Sasha flip Cameron over her shoulder and onto the ground, taking his knife.

"Zenix, Zane, Garroth." I said and they turned to look at me. "Get Ein to a doctor or something for his injuries.

"Sasha, Ivy." I said and they turned to look at me. "Look for Lola."

They nodded and ran off.

"Sigherra and I will get Lily and make sure she's okay." I said and the others ran off.

Sigherra was peering over the edge at where Lily lay on the ground motionless.

I hope she's okay.

Sigherra's POV

It was like I'd lost control of everything I said and did.

I could remember everything that had happened, including me knocking Lily off the edge of that cliff or whatever.

If she's dead because of me- I'll NEVER forgive myself.

Aaron motioned for me to follow him as he quietly and carefully climbed down to where Lily was.

I thought she was dead until I heard a whimper.

"Help me." She whispered, her eyes shut.

The images of me causing her to fall off the cliff flashed through my mind and I started to panic.

I had almost killed Aaron's girlfriend.

Lily's POV

It hurts too much to move.

It feels like I was hit by a train.

I can't open my eyes.

I'm scared.

What if I die?

"Help me." I managed to whisper before I started losing consciousness.

If I fall asleep, I might never wake up.

I might die here, at the bottom of the cliff.

"Lily!" A voice said, but it took me a moment to register who it was.

Aaron.

Aaron...

AARON!

Aaron's POV

I picked Lily up as carefully as I could and started walking back towards the school, where she can rest in the nurse's office until we can get her to a doctor.

My phone started ringing and I almost jumped out of my skin.

My phone fell and Sigherra picked it up, showing me the screen.

Sylvanna?

Why is she calling me?

"Hello?" Sigherra answered as she put my phone on speaker.

"Aaron? You sound like a girl." Sylvanna said. "Nevermind. Just get over here, now!"

"We can't get over there. Lily is hurt."

"This is about Aphmau!" Sylvanna all but screeched.

Aph? It's been two years since people have spoken about her.

"I'll get over there as soon as I can. Do you mind if I bring my friends that are with me?" I asked.

"Of course I don't mind. Now hurry up!" Sylvanna said and ended the call with a BEEP!

We hurried over to Sylvanna's house and my heart ached from the memory of Aph attempting suicide there.

But she ended up dying anyway.

"Aaron?" Sylvanna shrieked, but there was no sign of tears.

"Can we please help Lily first?" I asked, and Sylvanna seemed to notice Lily unconscious in my arms and Sigherra walking up to the doorstep behind me.

"Sigh! It's been forever since we've spoken!" Sylvanna hugged her, bending down since Sigherra was so short.

"Hello, Mrs. Phoenix." Sigherra said, and her eyes flickered over to Lily before looking at the ground.

I can't imagine what that must've been like.

The guilt she must feel.

"Get inside! I have to tell you something!" Sylvanna said and pulled us inside.

Sigherra sat on the edge of her chair, refusing to make eye contact with anyone.

Sylvanna called Zoey over to help Lily in the living room while she spoke to Sigherra and I in her kitchen.

"So, as I said before- the reason I called you here is about Aphmau." Sylvanna said.

"What about her?" Sigherra whispered, her head down.

"She's alive. Not in her original body, of course, but I have reason to believe that Aphmau is alive. Her spirit left her body when she died physically, but she has magick in her blood and she might've been able to find a new host for her spirit. The host she chose looks remarkably like her, and has all of my Mija's memories." Sylvanna said.

Sigherra stood up and clenched her fists.

"Your lying! This has to he a joke! Aphmau died two years ago! Cameron murdered her! She died in Aaron's arms! This is cruel, Sylvanna! Joking about your daughter who DIED!" Sigherra said and ran off, her eyes flashing red.

But my mind was still wrapped around what Sylvanna said.

"Prove it." I said.

"Okay." Sylvanna replied. "Follow me."
