Chapter 16 Armen

They all stared at me. "Did I interrupt something?"

"Yes," Mia said. "You kind of did."

"Ok, you all can finish."

They all sat there, looking at each other. Mia was looking at Drake and Grayson like they were going to say something. They looked at Mia the same way.

"Aren't you going to ask me something?" she said.

"No," Drake said. "We're waiting for you to say something."

"Oh. Then I guess you didn't interrupt anything."

I looked at them for a moment before continuing. What were they talking about before I walked in?

"Alright," I said as I put a map of the school on the table. "Let's begin."

"What's this?" Mia asked.

"A map of the school," I said. "You need to know where you need to go."

I handed them all a smaller map of the school and their class schedules. "Most of the 7th grade classes are in this hallway." I pointed to the 7th grade area. "But there are a few in other areas." I pointed to a room that was outside the 7th grade hallway. "This is the band room. All of you have band. Somehow you have to figure out a years worth of band tonight."

"Why do we have to do that?" Grayson asked.

"So your teacher doesn't get upset with you," I told, beginning to get frustrated. "You all need a crash course in all classes. This is going to be harder than I thought."

"We need a plan for the plan," Drake said. "But what?"

I started to think. Somehow I needed to explain enough for them to get caught up in there classes. I didn't even know what they needed to know.

"Mia," I said as the lightbulb went off.

"What?" she asked.

"Who was that girl you talked to before we left the classroom?"

"You mean April?"

"Yes, her. What is her last name?"

"I have no idea. I barely even know her."

Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. I couldn't start to get somewhere without getting stopped. "I'll be back. I need to do some more stuff."

I left the room and ventured back to the world.

"Excuse me," I told to Vice Principal Luisse Duncan.

"Yes," she said.

"I need a kid. She was apart of the incident."

"What is her name?"

"Her name is April. We aren't-"

"You all aren't what?"

"Hang on, I'll be right back. Sorry."

I went back to the kids. I didn't bother saying everything because I was going to be in there for a short period of time. I found my clipboard and took the class roster. April wasn't in my first class.

"Mia," I said to her again.

"What?" she asked.

"Where did April go before you came to my class?"

"The room across from the one you were in."

"Thank you."

I swept out of the room in a blur again. I ran to Luisse.

"Yes," she said as I approached her.

"I need to see Mrs. Krysral's first period roster. I'm trying to figure out that girl's last name."

"Ok, I'll pull up on the computer in here."

I followed her to her office and she started searching on her computer. "Alright," she said. "I got it."

I leaned in front of the computer and looked. I found the only April in the class. April Anderson.

"Ok, her name is April Anderson. Can you call her down here?"

"Yes, I can. But are you sure you don't need somebody else to take care of this? It is you first day you know."

"I really need to take care of it. It's kind of personal. I'm kinda on the Internet. And I'm kinda popular on the Internet." None of that was a lie. I loved it when I could lie without actually lying. And I was kinda popular. I had a little over 12 million subscribers on YouTube.

"Oh, understand," Luisse said as she took the assumption she was supposed to take. "I'll get her right in there. Just get back to what you guys were doing."

"Thank you," I told her as I rushed back to the room. When I walked in they all stared at me.

"Are you going to spend more time in here or who knows where?" Mia asked. She was starting to get on my nerves. But she reminded me of a girl I knew from middle school, although they looked nothing alike.

"I'm trying to get everything sorted out," I told her. "I'm under a lot of stress right now. There is so much going on."

There was a knock on the door and as I opened it, April walked in. Thank goodness. "I need you to get them caught up with what they need to know for school right now." She stared at me, this was going to be way harder than I thought.
