Chapter 14 Grayson
"What do you mean?" I asked. "How would I be easier to get? Why don't you just take us away and hide from our families?"
"It's not that easy," Armen said. "You can't just take a child without suffering consequences."
"Still, we should be able to do whatever we want. If they understood everything they would have to let us go."
"Grayson, nobody would believe you."
"How do you know?"
"I just do."
"How do you know?"
"I just do."
"But how?!"
"Because when I told my own mother she laughed at me and said that I have some crazy dreams! That's why!"
Everybody was quiet for a long time. Mia looked like she was about to cry. Armen did too. I shouldn't have asked. I should have just let it go. Drake looked like he wanted to say something, but it just wouldn't come out.
"What if," he managed to say. "What if our parents won't let you have us? What if we have to live with their torture until we are old enough to leave them?"
Armen looked at Drake for a long time. "I've been waiting for a long time to see you guys again," he said. "And I am definitely not going to let those people torture you. I'm going to get you kids whether they like it or not."
There was a knock at the door and Armen got up to answer it.
"Is everything ok in here?" the man asked.
"Yah," Armen said. "Everything is fine. We just needed to have a discussion."
"Is somebody covering your class?"
"Oh crud. I forgot to get somebody to check on them."
"It's ok, everybody makes mistakes on their first day. I'll get somebody to take care of it. Just keep on doing what you were doing."
The man left and Armen closed the door. He looked very tense and stressed.
"Are you ok?" Drake asked.
"I'm fine," Armen said. "I just can't believe that I found you guys."
I wanted to say something but I didn't. I didn't know Armen anywhere near as much as Drake did. Why did he even really care about all of us. He hardly even knew me, let alone even spoken to Mia. "Why do you even care about us so much if you don't even know us that well?" I bit my tongue as hard as I could. I didn't mean to let it slip out. "I mean, never mind. Forget it. I didn't mean to ask."
"I also got memories from my controlled past. I'm sorry for everything I've done to you guys." Armen looked like he was going to cry again.
Mia got up from her chair and gave Armen a hug. Drake followed her and so did I.
"It's ok," Mia said. "You weren't yourself then. You are only yourself now."
"I gotta find a way to get you kids out of school today. But I don't know how." Amen said.
"Please don't call us kids," Drake said. "We are really just adults trapped in a child's body."
"Ok, I won't." Armen sighed. "Will Blake and Mason ever believe me though?"
"Who are they?" I asked.
"They are some of my friends. They were apart of the Haunted that we made."
"Why did you call it the Haunted?"
"Well, I was haunted by Herobrine."
Drake had another headache. He pushed his head into his hands. If he was standing up he would have fallen down, luckily he was sitting.
"Let's all agree," Drake said, pausing to take a deep breathe. "Let's all agree to ever say His name again. It's painful for me."
"Sorry Drake," Armen told him. "I shouldn't have said it again after what happened the first time."
Drake was just sitting there, he looked confused. "I got another memory," he said. "But this is one of a 13th birthday party. It seems to be mine. But my parents are being nice to me. There is also other people, maybe relatives."
Drake was still confused. I knew the answer, but I didn't want to tell him. His parents must not have wanted the relatives to get themselves in trouble. They didn't want the punishment of child abuse.
-I'm sorry this chapter took so long. I have had extreme writers block and it just set me free. Hopefully this won't happen again, but it could. Just hang in there whenever a chapter is late. It just means that I have writers block again.
