Sakura's POV

Tamaki and Hanna left in a hurry. Probably to avoid any rage I might spit out on accident. I changed out of the beautiful dress she let me barrow and walked out the door in a rush. Of course, I made sure everything was picked up and cleaned before I left.

As I hurried out the doors, the twins ran out after me, still in their white suits. Honestly, I really liked what the hosts were wearing today. "Sakura!" They yelled in unison. I turned my head sideways, but kept walking. "Sakura, wait!" Kaoru yelled.

"What? I'm trying to walk home, here." I said, aggravation lingering in my tone. "Shouldn't you be riding in your limo?"

"Wanna talk?" They said together, one coming up on either side of me. I took off my glasses and hung them on the collar of my jacket, staring at the ground to avoid eye contact. I always took off my glasses when I was stressed.

"No."

"Aw, c'mon. Pretty please?"

"No. There's nothing to talk about."

"Well that's a lie." Hikaru said. I opened my mouth to speak, but tripped on my Converse shoelaces that had somehow come undone. I always double knotted.

I pretty much face planted the sidewalk. A sickening shatter filled my ears. I quickly got on all fours and looked at my glasses. Shattered. Both lenses were cracked like spiderwebs. Even a few tiny shards had fallen out onto the sidewalk. I tried to hold back tears. Not of physical pain, but mental and emotional. "Sakura? Are you alright?" Hikaru asked. As soon as they saw my glasses they froze.

"Does Tamaki think he can just leave like that and expect us to be okay with it? You guys are my only friends! Without the club, I don't think I'd be able to make it through this school..." I said to no one in particular, momentarily forgetting about my glasses. Right then, I sat up, criss-crossed my legs, and burst into tears.

"Sakura..." Kaoru whispered and knelt down next to me. "Even if we do split up, we will always be your friends-"

"With the exception of maybe Kyoya." Hikaru finished. A weak smile spread across my mouth. Well, it was probably true.

"I guess..." I said. I wiped my tear-stained cheeks and the twins helped me to my feet. I turned around and started walking again, but Hikaru stopped me.

"Sakura, look at me." He said, holding my chin.

"If this is one of your host things... No... Just, no." I chuckled and pulled away, blushing slightly. He grabbed me again by my chin and tilted my face to the side.

"No, it's not that... Unless you want it to be..." He said, pulling me close. I blushed even harder.

"What is it Hikaru?!" I said loudly. He sneered.

"Well, it's just that your left eye is black-"

"WHAT!?" I yelled and pulled away again. I felt the area around my left eye. It wasn't swollen, just bruised. "Ah GREAT. Now I can't even do TOMORROW because I've got this ugly thing now!" I yelled. I walked down the street in the direction of my apartment once more, but quicker. I tried not to look at the boys for fear they would think badly about my bruise. That I was ugly.

"Would you stop doing that?" Hikaru said and grabbed me. I stopped and froze. His hand on my clenched fist.

"But-"

"Oh no no no no no. Let's get you home and see what we can do about that nasty thing." They quickly said. They grabbed my arms and ran with me all the way back to my apartment. Once there, I stopped right in front of the door with my keys in my hand.

"On second thought, you'd better not. Not only did that rhyme, but I don't like having other people over." I said, standing against the outside of the door.

"Why not?" They asked.

"Well, you guys have very large mansions and maids to clean up after everyone. I don't. It is only my sister and I, and our rooms aren't exactly organized all the time..." I said sheepishly.

"So? We know you can't afford a maid, silly!" They said, pinching my cheeks like I was five. I waved off their hands and put the key in the lock. Damn these rich people...

"Alright... Don't say I didn't warn ya." I said and shrugged. I opened the front door and the twins followed in like ducklings, amazed at every little normal thing like the kettle or the kitchen appliances. "Sorry. Wasn't exactly expecting guests. Want something to drink? You can put your jackets on the hanger if you want to." I said, tossing my keys on the coffee table and walking into the kitchen. The twins hung up their white jackets and started poking their noses around the tiny living room, looking through movies and magazines. They shook their heads no. "Hey! This isn't your house! Don't look in other people's things!" I snatched a scrapbook of me as a baby from the two and placed it back where they had gotten it.

"You were an adorable baby-" They started

"Who wasn't? Almost every baby is cute." I said, blushing.

"-I wonder what happened." They said with a snicker. My blush heated to anger. I clenched my fists.

"Oh... Shut up... Don't remind me..." I said. My self-hatred growing by the second. I never thought of myself as attractive in the first place. My self esteem was already really crappy. I hated when someone else lowered it.

"... We're sorry." They said, coming up behind me. "It was just a joke-" Kaoru started.

"-we didn't mean to hurt your feelings." Hikaru finished. I sighed a breath of partial defeat and stress.

"I know. You wouldn't be the first to make comments about it." I said with a huff. "I'm used to it." They went silent for a minute.

"Where is your room?" They asked.

"I'd prefer not to take you there." I said as I walked around the counter into the living room. They followed.

"Why?"

"Because it's a mess... And it's kinda weird."

"Please?" They asked with puppy dog eyes.

"You know puppy eyes don't work on me." I said, crossing my arms across my chest. They kept doing it and begging and asking.

After a few minutes, I gave in. "FINE. But give me, like, two minutes to straighten it up." I said. They sat on the couch and I ran to my room. It wasn't as bad as I thought. I tossed the clothes that were on the ground in the hamper, made my bed, straightened up my desk, and closed my closet door. When I closed my closet, I caught sight of the roses. All that was left of Kaoru's was a black stem. Hikaru's was the same as it was a few weeks ago. Barely withered and the color only slightly faded. I quickly just tossed Kaoru's stem in the trash and finished up. For a final touch, I quickly sprayed my favorite scent lightly around my room. Just then, I noticed my eye starting to swell. When I told them I was done, they dashed in without hesitation. I sat down at the foot of my bed.

They oohed and awed at my family photos, knicks knacks and other little cool things around my room. As they looked, each of them at different times would look at me with a grin. I don't know why, but they did. After their curiosity was drained they got antsy. "So, where's your makeup?" They asked.

"I don't have any makeup." I said. They both looked shocked.

"You don't own any makeup at all?"

"Well, do you ever see me wearing makeup?" I asked.

"Your skin looked so smooth, I assumed you did." Kaoru said.

"Hell no. I hate makeup." I said and rolled my eyes. "I don't care how bad I look, and I know it's bad, but I am so bad at it that owning it would be pointless. My hands are too shaky." I held out my hand loosely. It was noticeable how shaky my hands were. It was natural. I wasn't scared, I just had shaky hands.

"Alright then. We'll have to go back to basics. Kaoru, ice." Hikaru held out his hand, waiting for ice. Kaoru handed him an ice pack out of nowhere, which he held to my face for twenty minutes. He wouldn't let me touch it because he said that they were 'getting me fixed up.' I giggled at the thought.

After about an hour, the swelling quickly went down and all that was there was just a bruise. "Wait, why did you ask to see if I had makeup?" I asked.

"We need to practice for tomorrow." They said.

"You're good with makeup?" I asked, trying to hold in a laugh. They didn't seem amused. I finally burst into a short amount of laughter. "I'm sorry. But it just doesn't seem like your personalities."

"Well I mean if you want that black eye tomorrow to show we don't care." They said and started towards my door. Well, I really didn't want it tomorrow. It was ugly and people would probably ask what happened and I'd have to answer it forty different times.

"Wait." I said. The stopped in my doorway and turned their heads towards me. "Please practice. I don't want people to know I have it..." I said sheepishly. They immediately grabbed makeup that also came out of nowhere and began working. I had no idea what they were do to me. "Don't make me look like a clown! Just something subtle!"

"Don't worry! We won't make you look ridiculous." They said. After about twenty minutes, they were done. Well, it was quicker than I expected. They handed me a mirror.

"Hikaru... Kaoru... It's... I..." I was at a complete loss of words. Never had I ever been this speechless to them. The only word I could use to describe it was beautiful.

"Whatcha think?" They said. I didn't know what to think. I was wearing medium pink lipstick, light blush, natural eyeshadow shades and a small eyeliner wing. The black eye seemed to vanish under their art.

"It's... I didn't know you worked so well with makeup." I said, blushing. Of course, it was blended with the blush they had already put on me, so it wasn't too noticeable. I put down the mirror. They both grinned from ear to ear, glanced at each other, than back at me. Hikaru placed his hands on the bed on either side of me and leaned in extremely close to me. He seemed to be studying me.

"How else do you think we pull off cosplay evenings?" He said, mischief lingering in his tone. His eyes scanned my petite body. An evil, sly grin spread across my face as a thought popped into my head. I quickly glanced at Kaoru, and he seemed to understand.

"Well, now it makes sense." I said, leaning towards him. "So I guess that means you work well with your hands, huh?" I said. I gazed into his amber orbs as our foreheads touched. He grinned.

"I guess you could say that." He said. He tilted his head just right to where if he or I moved any closer, we would kiss. Time to put that idea into actions. His lips seemed to pucker slightly and he closed his eyes, waiting for my lips to hug his.

I copied his actions and puckered slightly, lifting my hand up like I was going to gently grab his face, but stopped right before we completely kissed. "Well, Mr. Handyman, if you work so well with your hands, why is your tie tied wrong?" I said, undoing his tie and re-tieing it. He froze, dumbfounded at what had just happened. I could just see in his eyes the gears slowly roaring to life in his brain, and him slowly realizing what I had done and said. Kaoru began laughing so hard I thought he was gonna explode. I started giggling.

"Oh man! That was the best! We've trained her well, huh Hikaru?" Kaoru said, placing his hand on his brother's shoulder for support. I started laughing so hard I laid back onto my bed and held my stomach. It was so funny it hurt. Hikaru's face burned with embarrassment. He stood up straight.

"Seriously? That was funny to you?!" Hikaru said. I sat up and wiped a laughter tear.

"Well, duh. That's why I'm laughing!" I said. He looked at the wall in embarrassment. I rolled my eyes with a smile.

"Hikaru. Don't be mad. It was just a little prank." Kaoru said, also wiping a tear of joy. Hikaru didn't say anything. I smiled again. I grabbed Hikaru's tie and pulled him to where his lips were just millimeters from mine.

"If it makes you feel better, I wanted to. So now I will. No strings attached." I whispered and yanked on his tie ever so slightly. His eyes went wide with surprise, but softened after about a second. Our lips stayed connected to each other's for what seemed like forever, but in reality, was only about five seconds. My heart burst with happiness and excitement and relief. This is what my heart has been wanting ever since I met him. And the relief was from the fact that he hadn't pushed me away and called me creepy.

When I pulled away, Hikaru looked at me with a grin. "Sly, naughty girl." He said, waving his finger. Kaoru was still in shock. I noticed some of my lipstick had rubbed off onto his lips, leaving them lightly tinted pink. I giggled.

"Sakura! I'm home!" Tira's voice bellowed from the entrance. I froze and looked at the boys. All my happiness had suddenly vanished at the sound of her voice. I totally forgot. Tira was going to kill me. I had brought two teenage boys into MY ROOM. Not for bad reasons, they were just curious. And I COULD just leave out the whole kiss thing. Maybe I could talk some reasoning into her. "Sakura? Are you home?" She said again, walking down the hall. When she came into my room, she froze. Her eyes kept glancing from the boys to me and back to them. Hikaru's face was still very red, which thankfully hid the smeared lipstick.

"Hi-i T-Tira..." I said in shaky voice. Her eyes drifted over to me.

"Boys. A word with my sister, PLEASE." My sister said. The boys slowly walked into the living room and Tira gently closed the door behind them. As soon as she turned around, she started yelling. "SAKURA! What the hell are you doing with not one, but TWO boys over while I'm still at work!? That is unacceptable, young lady! I don't know what they could have done to you! For all I know, they could have kidnapped or even killed you! I know those are the boys from your club that would come and visit you in the hospital, but that is no excuse to break the rules!"

"They are my FRIENDS, Tira. I trust them with all my heart! They would never do anything to hurt me! They were just trying to help me out and do my makeup-"

"WHAT!? They were doing your MAKEUP!?" She screamed. "Not only is that weird, but couldn't they have done that at your FESTIVAL?"

"Well... No... Not exactly..." I said, starting to tear up.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'NOT EXACTLY?'"

"Well... On the w-way home... I tripped a-and got a black eye..." I was letting tears slip down my cheeks. "And... My lenses cracked..." My makeup was coming off. Their art was washing off my face, which made me mad. "Do you see what you've done, TIRA? Because of YOU, you made me FEEL TERRIBLE even though I SHOULDN'T. And now their WORK is all being WASHED AWAY." I yelled. I burst into tears and sat on my bed.

She didn't say a word. After a few minutes of crying, I looked up to see her grabbing one of my face wipes out of my desk drawer. She started wiping off my makeup slowly and lovingly, like a mother. She slowed down around my left eye. Once it was all off, she pulled me into a hug. "I just get worried with all the things you do nowadays. I never really know for sure what you're up to." She whispered.

"I know I know. But I'm not in middle school anymore, Tira. You need to let me grow up just a little." I said. I wiped my cheeks and stood up.

"Alright. You're right. I trust you. And if you say nothing happened, then nothing happened but your makeup." She said, opening my door. "Give me your glasses. I will go order new lenses right this second." I handed them to her and she looked at them with horror. I shrugged. We walked out and the twins were on the couch. Tira went right into her room. I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Did you...?" Hikaru whispered.

"Nope. And let's keep it that way." I whispered. "Alright guys, time for you to go. I'm sorry you were... here for that." They stood up and grabbed their coats, walking over to the door with me. They both hugged me at the same time, making me the middle of a hug sandwich.

"We're sorry we got you in trouble." They said, nuzzling my head.

"Yeah yeah whatever. Now, just go." I said teasingly. As I watched them walk to their car, a thought popped into my head. "Hikaru! Wait!" I yelled. They both stopped and looked back to me. I ran down the steps and up to the boys. I grabbed Hikaru's arm and pulled him down to my level to I could whisper in his ear. "I just have one question." He nodded his head, waiting for me to ask. "Why does your rose last longer than your brother's?" I asked. I let go of him and he stood up straight.

"Let's just say it was... nurtured." He said. I blushed. He grew it 'with love,' so to speak. They said their goodbyes and left, getting into their car. Right before they shut the door, I shouted to them.

"Hikaru! Look in the mirror! Your mouth is a little... pink..." I said. I saw him look in a mirror and quickly rub it off. With a smile, I ran inside as they drove off. I quickly pulled out my phone as I walked into my room and texted Tamaki. 'What was that at the festival? Who was that... person?' I waited about ten minutes before he answered.

'That is not important. Don't be upset. I must leave tomorrow to go to France.'

'Wait. FRANCE!? Why?'

'Because Lady Eclair and I are getting married.'

'But... The host club...'

'I am sorry Sakura.' I put my phone down and felt my heart sink. I can't believe him. He's not like that. Before I did anything I'd regret, I went straight to bed, without eating. I just wanted the day to end, but then again, never end. My heart can only handle so much. Roller coasters of emotions, switching from furious to sorrowful to lustful back to sorrowful is very bad for a heart that's been through surgery, you know.
