Sakura's POV

The school was huge. There was a wing for every subject it seemed. Everyone was rich and well-known. I wasn't though. My family's name was very unknown and their business was tiny. My family owned a candle store. Since it was so small there was only one store in the entire world. I worked there when I wasn't at school or was on break. I never had any time off.

I approached the huge front doors of Ouran High School. I'm lucky to even be here. They've made an exception for me to attend here because my entire family from all over the world offered to help pay for the fees. I really wanted to go here so they all chipped in. I wanted a decent business scholarship, and I knew this place could offer me a great one. My sister didn't care where I went just as long as I went somewhere.

Oh yeah I forgot to say; I live with my sister. She's 22 and doesn't really care what I do with my life. So, I gave myself a pixie cut and dyed my hair a pastel mess. Mint green, lavender and baby blue. Yes. I cut my own hair. My glasses were the typical black chic glasses, and I was pretty short, being only five foot one inch.

The doors were enormous, and it looked like they were lined with gold. I walked in and froze in my tracks. The halls were as big as my living room and kitchen combined, and the windows as tall as my apartment. I gazed up and down the halls to see if anyone was coming. They were empty and silent. You could hear a pin drop and it'd echo all throughout the halls. I look at my schedule. I had history first hour.

It took me forever but in about 20 minutes I finally found my class. I stopped outside the door with my hand on the handle. I found myself shaking so I took a deep breath and opened the door. Everyone froze and turned to look at me, so I froze out of fear. The teacher looked at me over her glasses. "Ah, you must be Miss Sakura Arai, the student they've made an exception for." I glanced around at the students' faces. There were about 24 or 25 of them in this class, but the two that caught my eye were identical twins. Their faces were both staring directly at me with a smirk. I could tell they were troublemakers. "If you could please take a seat next to Hikaru and Kaoru, they'll help you with notes." She turned back around and started talking about Pearl Harbor.

I looked to see if anyone was waving telling me that they're Hikaru or Kaoru, but the twins grabbed my arms and sat me in between them. The one to my right whispered in my ear "Hello, little lady. I'm Hikaru-"

"-And I'm Kaoru." the one to me left whispered. Then they spoke together "Try not to get us mixed up." They chuckled and Hikaru tossed his notes at me, all of it complete. "I got them online" he smiled an evil grin at me and I just sat there very confused. The bell rang and it was more of a tune than a bell. Damn these rich people...

I sighed and spoke to myself "Saved by the bell..." I stood up and handed Hikaru his notes, but he took them and shoved them into my binder. "Hey what are you doing!" I yelled.

"Keep them tonight. Just give them back tomorrow." They said together. Now I couldn't tell them apart. They snaked out the door laughing. I rolled my eyes. Next I had geometry which, coincidentally, I had with those twins. Since I had gotten there three minutes before the bell rang, I put my headphones on, started listening to my music and put my head down on the desk. It was only second hour on the first day and I already wished it was summer break. Great. It was going to be a long year...

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw someone in a boy uniform sit down next to me. I lifted my head to see who it was and guess what? It was Hikaru. Or Kaoru. I honestly couldn't tell the difference. I just groaned and put my head back down as they both grinned ear to ear. The bell rang so I turned my music off and put my headphones around my neck. The geometry teacher had me stand in the front of the class and introduced me. The twins were grinning at my embarrassment and mental pain. After I sat down, which was once again in between the twins, I didn't much care for what the teacher was actually teaching, but actually tried to find differences between the twins. I looked to my right and that twin looked at me. I opened my mouth to speak but the twin interrupted me and said "I'm Hikaru" then went back to looking at the whiteboard like he was actually paying attention.

I studied him hard to find any differences between him and Kaoru. I kept looking back and forth between the two before I finally found something different. "I got it! You two part your hair different ways!" I said a little too loudly. The teacher froze and turned around to look at me, along with all the students in the class.

"Miss Arai, are you done talking to yourself?" The teacher spoke. I melted in my seat and nodded my head slowly. He went back to teaching the class on how to prove triangles similar or something like that. I could feel my face burning bright red. I heard chuckling to either side of me, then saw a piece of paper fly onto my desk from the left. It was from Kaoru. 'Open your history notes. Read the first thing you see' It read. So I did as it said.

I opened my binder to find a blue sticky note on the front of the notes. 'Go to music room #3 after school.' I looked up at Kaoru in confusion and he just nodded at me. I looked over to Hikaru and he did the same. The bell rang and it was time for my next class which was English. The twins weren't in that class with me. That class and the next class went by quickly and before I knew it, it was time for lunch. My stomach grumbled and it was then I realized that I was so hungry. I had missed breakfast because I was nervous that everyone would make fun of my hair or how short I was. I hope lunch would go well.

I brought my own lunch because buying lunch here would be expensive. A sandwich and a bag of chips. Not much but just enough to get through the day. I sat down at a table in the corner of the humongous room by myself and put my headphones on. Out of nowhere, I felt breathing down my neck. I turned around to see Hikaru and Kaoru. "GAH! What the hell is wrong with you two?" I yelled, pulling my headphones down around my neck.

They laughed. "We just came over here to see if you were going to the music room after school." They spoke at the same time. They sat down on either side of my with their trays of lunch. I glared at both of them.

"I'll go if you quit asking me and leave me alone." I said. The twins grinned and walked away towards a group of boys. I sighed out of relief and put my headphones back on and ate my lunch in peace.

After lunch there were only four classes left before school let out, then I was to go to the music room. So, three out of four of those classes I had with the twins and I sat in the same spot as all the other ones I had with them: in between them. I was beginning to wonder why they wanted me to sit in between them in every class we had together. The release bell toned and everyone practically ran out to leave. I tried to look for the twins but they had disappeared into the crowd, so I had to find the music room myself. Before I knew it, the halls were empty once again as they were when I arrived. Silent.

I roamed the halls for what seemed like forever before I finally found music room #3 at the end of a long hall. To be honest, I was kind of nervous about going in. I had no idea what I was to expect. With a heavy sigh I reached for the handle and turned it, opening the door. As it slowly creaked open I felt a gust of wind rush past my face with rose petals riding it. I looked in to see the twins and four other boys standing with them. "Welcome to the host club, my dear." A tall blonde boy spoke with his arm outstretched towards me.
