Happy Reading!!!
After Liam and I showered together, which took us almost an hour, we finally got ready to go out and eat. Liam promised me that we would do all the things I wanted today and that he had a surprise for me later on. To say I was excited was an understatement. I wanted to do so much that I didn't even know where to start. But since it was already nearing noon by time we finished showering and getting dressed we wanted to eat lunch first then fit in as much as we could after. If not Liam said we had another 2 days to do things.
The reason it took us so long to get ready was every time I went to put something on Liam would just pull it from my hands and hide it or pull it off of me while kissing my bare skin. It was really distracting and made getting ready harder. I honestly didn't mind but after the 4th outfit being hid or taken off I wanted to slap Liam. If he had it his way we would be staying in the room all day not wearing any clothes but since I played the 'it's my birthday card' we were going out.
We walked towards the main part of the hotel hand in hand. His big hands fit perfectly with mine and I found myself wanting to pinch myself to make sure this was real. Liam finally let me get dressed so I was now in a pair of dark skinny jeans and a cute red flannel shirt that had a tank underneath in case it got hot. Since I had only packed the one pair of tall black heels I decided to wear them. I could have worn my flip flops or a pair of flats but I felt like looking somewhat good for Liam. Even with him dressed casually in a pair of blue jeans and a grey t-shirt that hugged his body he still looked like he just walked out of a magazine.
Coming to a stop in front of the same front desk of the restaurant Liam and I were suppose to eat at the night before. While we were being lead to our table I knew I needed Liam to explain where he was last night. I wanted a real explanation to not just a semi one. Smiling in thanks to the hostess girl I grabbed the menu. Glancing around I noticed the place just as busy as it was last night. Families sat randomly around, a cute young couple sat off in the corner grinning at one another.
"You know what sounds good?" Liam asked jerking my gaze back to him. He sat across from me in the booth holding his own menu.
"Don't say me." I said looking down at my menu trying to decide what I should order. Since it was practically noon I wasn't in the mood for breakfast anymore.
"Why can't I? You're mine I can say what I want." He smirked over at me. I found it sweet how he said that I was his, and it was kind of a turn on. I've never had someone say that about me and I was starting to like it a lot.
"No dirty thoughts. We are here to enjoy our lunch then go out to do some things." I stated sending him a pointed look.
"Who said you could tell me what to do?"
"It's my birthday I can say whatever I want." Our waiter came over then and thankfully it wasn't the same one from last night.
"Hello sir and ma'am. What can I get you to drink?" He asked. I scrunched up my nose at him calling me ma'am, it made me feel so old.
"I'll just have water." I said.
"Same."
"Are you ready to order?" The waiter asked.
" Yes I'll have steak, medium rare, steamed vegetables on the side as well as a baked potato." Liam rattled off. Without even writing anything down he now turned to me.
"I'll have the chicken fingers with fries. And BBQ sauce on the side please."
"I'll get that started right away for you. I'll bring your drinks out right away."
"Chicken fingers?" Liam asked amusement clear on his face as the waiter walked off.
"What? They are good." I said defensively. "I saw some people having them walking to our table and they looked good."
"You mean kids were eating them." He said smiling.
"Fine yes! Kids were eating them but I'm not taking it back. They sounded good." I said placing my hands on the table.
"Whatever the birthday girl wants." We sat there quietly for a few minutes but the silence wasn't uncomfortable. I looked out the window at the beach and saw people walking along the sand and a few kids placing in the water. The waiter came to drop off our waters but I didn't touch mine.
"Liam-" I said wanting to get this conversation over with sooner rather then later.
"Yes?" He asked but I knew he knew what I wanted to talk about. Playing with my fingers I gazed at them not wanting to look at Liam.
"I...I need to know what happened last night. Why were you late?" I spit out. Taking a glance up Liam took a sip of his water before nodding at me.
"You deserve to know what happened. And promise not to freak out on me, or accuse me of anything because nothing happened." He said calmly. Okay I can do that even though he is making it sound like something bad happened.
"Well first my meeting ended 15 minutes late. I thought it would have ended sooner but the dumb ass people kept talking about menial things. Anyways as I was heading into the elevator my ex-girlfriend appeared. She stopped the elevator trapping us both in it." At the sound of an ex-girlfriend I sat up straighter. I had almost forgotten then he had been with someone right before me. I remembered Julie saying something about him being with a girl named Carmen when we 'supposedly' were together.
"You don't need to know all of what she said but after making sure she wouldn't come near us I hit the elevator button to make it start again then went to find you. I tried here first but the hostess said you were gone so I figured you would be back at the room. You know the rest." He said staring straight at me. His blue eyes seemed sincere. I know I should be upset that his ex-girlfriend was here but I wasn't angry. I was last night when I sat here for 2 hours by myself now I'm not. Liam didn't mean to be late and if he really meant the things he said to me last night then I know he didn't want to see his ex either.
"Okay go ahead and yell now." He said.
"Liam I'm not mad." I said reaching over to place my hand on top of his. "You didn't mean to leave me here forever and I can tell you don't like your ex. I forgive you." I didn't have an ex that would do something that like but I know how i'd act if it was me in Liam's shoes. I wouldn't be happy at all that they were here when I was with someone else.
"You aren't?"
"No I'm not. I can't stay mad at you anyways." I said smiling.
"Get over here."
"What?" He sent me a look before he moved closer to me in the booth. Reaching a hand out he grabbed my arm and hauled me close to him. Our sides and legs were touching one another.
"That's better." He grinned down at me. Our waiter showed up just then with our food. As mine was placed in front of me my stomach rumbled. Having not ate at all last night I was starving. Not even caring Liam was right next to me and probably watching I dug into my chicken fingers like a little fat kid.
Eating my chicken fingers I felt like I was little again. I remembered while my mom was at work i'd always have them for dinner while being babysat. I don't remember too much of that time but the smell of them always jolted that memory.
"I never thought a girl eating was sexy until you." Liam whispered down in my ear teasingly. Swallowing I looked at him.
"Probably why is your past girlfriends only ever ate salads or air." I said before grabbing a fry and eating it.
"Ate air?" He questioned raising an eyebrow.
"Yes. While you eat they sit there eating in air as if it will feed them. I've seen it before." Liam just chuckled beside me.
After we finished eating and paid I grabbed Liam's hand and tugged him after me as I headed to the front doors. I wanted to go to the little shops along the beach and see what they had. I wanted to get something for Julie, Sophia, Candy, Lennon and Sky. Most importantly Sky I bet she would love a stuffed dolphin or something like that.
"Woah slow down. The shops aren't going to close for a long while." Liam said as we headed out of the hotel.
"So? We need to do some shopping. I want to get Sky something for sure and maybe a few others." As we got closer to the shops I slowed down and walked beside Liam instead of in front.
"Yeah we should get something for Sky." Liam mused.
"You liked her didn't you." I said sending him a wide grin.
"No I hate kids." He replied but I could tell he was lying. When he lied the corner of his lip twitched slightly. You wouldn't notice it unless you really watched his face.
"Yeah right. You were smitten with her when she was over. And she really liked you as well."
"She did?" His voice got a little higher and a excited expression covered his face. I bit back a laugh that wanted to burst free.
"Yeah. Maybe when we get back she can come over to play with you." I said it in a baby voice but he didn't seem to care or listen.
We were quiet as we walked hand and hand over to the boardwalk, well I was just going to call it the boardwalk. The sun was high in the sky and shining brightly down on us. There was a slight breeze that blew my curly blonde hair around my face. The humidity was more here in Barbados making my hair curl more then it usually does, something I didn't know my hair could do. Of course Liam's hair was perfectly fine looking great in his messed up sexy look. Stupid men who don't have to worry about how they look.
For the next 2 1/2 hours we drifted from store to store. You could tell we were in the touristy part of the island because of all the t-shirts saying "I love Barbados" or something cheesy like that. There were ton of people out and about today making us dodge around them. It was nice walking around with Liam and not having someone look at us weirdly or gawk at Liam. Everyone here seemed to mind their own business which I was thankful for. Although a few girls had stopped to openly check Liam out.
I had yet to find a present for Sky but had found a snow globe for Sophia because I knew she collected them, and I got a pretty necklace for Candy that had her birthstone and a real seashell along with it. I was going to get something for Liam's sister and Blake and Lennon but Liam said not too. Apparently they all had been here before when the hotel first opened.
We were now currently inside a cute boutique playing around with the sunglasses and hates. This store had so many different kinds of hats and most were funny. I had forced Liam to put one on and ended up laughing for a few minutes while he glared at me. Guess he didn't like big pink hats.
"How about this one?" I asked posing with a pair of big purple sunglasses and a white hat that belong at the horse races.
"You look stunning." Liam said taking out his phone. "Let me get a picture."
"No!" I ducked my head. I already looked terrible as it is.
"Yes Jenna! Put your head up and smile!" He instructed almost as if he was Leonardo from our engagement photos. Grumpily I lifted my head up staring at Liam. He put on a smile instructing me what to do. Sighing I put on a smile and did a little pose while Liam took a picture. "Beautiful."
"Let me see." I said taking off the glasses and hat.
"No cause you'll want to delete it."
"I won't. Give it." I stood in front of him reaching for the phone but he put it above his head, way out of my reach.
"Liam!"
"Nope sweet cheeks. You can see it if you promise not to delete it." He stared down at me, his blue eyes twinkling.
"Fine I won't delete it." I agreed. He brought his phone back down for me to see. It wasn't as bad as I thought. I didn't look half bad in the picture and the hat actually kind of matched.
"See not that bad." He slide it back in his pocket.
"Now your turn!" I exclaimed reaching for a gigantic hat that was an ugly pink with feather. "Here." I put it in his hands as I searched for the right pair of sunglasses. Seeing a pink pair that were cover his entire eyes I gave it to him. "Okay here."
Taking out my phone I switched it to camera. Looking up Liam was still standing there looking at the things in his hands.
"Come on put them on." I urged.
"No they are ugly." He said.
"That's the point. Hurry no one is looking right now." I lied not looking to see if anyone was.
"Fine." He slipped on the horrendous pink hat and the glasses. When he looked up at me I choked on my laughter. It looked terrible for once he didn't look good in everything he tried on. "Hurry and take the picture." He muttered.
"Okay, pose!" Bringing my phone up I bit my bottom lip rakes of laughter wanting to burst free. It became worse as he cocked his hip to the side and put his hands up on the air. Snapping a few photos I finally let myself laugh. That was too funny. I am definitely keeping this photo forever.
"Stop laughing!" He whined immediately taking the stuff off.
"You two are such a cute couple." An unfamiliar voice suddenly said. I turned to see an two older women standing there. They were definitely tourists like us because they were wearing "I love Barbados" shirts and those foam sun visors on their heads.
"My husband and I use to act the same way when we were younger." The same lady said smiling fondly at us.
"Tom and me too. Young love. You too make sure to tell one another everyday." The other one said. Liam and I stood there staring at them awkwardly.
"Have a good day you to love birds." They both said before turning and leaving the store. Looking back at Liam I gave him a confused look. He just shrugged back at me.
"But you know what they say 'you have to respect your elders' so I better do as they say." He said moving towards me.
"Huh?" I stared at him like a weirdo.
"I love you." He said coming close to me that our chests were touching. I blushed at his words. It was kind of weird hearing him say those 3 words to me. It has been along time since anyone told me they loved me, it made my heart grow in my chest.
"I love you too." I squeaked out.
"You better." He dipped his head and peaked my lips. "Lets get out of here." He said once he pulled back. Grabbing my arm he lead me out of the store. My lips were tingling as we walked out even though it was just a peck. It was now mid-afternoon as we walked a little further down the boardwalk.
"Want a drink?" Liam asked seeing a little cafe ahead.
"Sure." Going in I saw it was a cute little cafe and it smelled amazingly of coffee. It was kind of packed but not too bad. While waited I figured out what I wanted and tried to ignore Liam's fingers that were stroking my bare lower back. Once we had ordered and gotten our drinks we headed down to the beach. I sipped my frappuccino I held back a moan at how good it was, but unfortunately Liam still heard it.
"I can make you moan louder." He whispered in my ear. Blushing ferociously I shoved him away, dropping my shoes in the process. He let a loud laugh throwing his head back.
"You're a jerk." I said picking up my shoes.
"I could say I don't mean it babe but I do." He smiled cheekily at me. I rolled my eyes sipping my drink. The next few minutes were quiet the only sound being heard was the crashing of waves and a few little kids yells they chased one another. The slightly warm water lapped at our feet. Liam and I's shoulders brushed one another since our hands were full from our shoes and drinks. We were a little bit down the beach when I suddenly heard my name being called. Turning I saw a two figures heading our way. Beside me I felt Liam tense.
"Jenna!" A familiar voice said again as they got closer. Seeing who it was I grinned.
"Devon!" I set my shoes down on the dry sand.
"Hey." He said coming to hug me. I hugged his tall frame back but pulled back quickly after I heard Liam growl beside me.
"Devon." I new voice said. Wait I've heard that voice before. Looking over Devon's shoulder I saw Grayson Patterson, Liam's other best friend and his best man.
"Greyson?" Liam surprised voice said. Devon stepped away from me and went to stand next to Grayson who was now stopped in front of us.
"Liam, Jenna? What are you doing here?" He asked.
"Wait you know Jenna and Liam?" Devon asked looking between us three.
"Yes Liam is my best friend and Jenna is his fiance." Grayson said staring at us. I stood there confused as to why he was here and how he knew Devon.
"Jenna you are engaged?"
"Grayson why are you here?" Both Devon and Liam said at the same time.
"I'm here with um my uh boyfriend." Grayson answered a slight blush covering his cheeks as he brought a hand up to rub the back of his neck.
"Boyfriend?" Both Liam and I said in unison. Grayson is gay!?
"I should have told you Liam but I didn't know how. I thought i'd tell you about Devon after I got back and before the wedding." Grayson said staring only at Liam. I looked over at Liam surprised not to see him upset or more surprised.
Devon and I stood there confused and staring at Liam and Grayson.
"Grayson it's fine you didn't tell me you had a boyfriend. I was actually wondering if you would ever get one." Liam joked going to pat him on the shoulder.
"Wait. Hold up. Liam you knew Grayson was gay?" I asked putting a hand up.
"Of course he's one of my best friends. I just didn't know he was dating someone." Liam answered looking over at Devon.
"So you're the rich engaged friend." Devon said nodding at Liam. I stood there trying to take this all in.
"You're the boyfriend." Liam said back. He relaxed his stance and his face. Now he has no problem with Devon knowing that he is gay instead of straight.
"This is the guy you were talking about huh." I said to Devon once Liam was done staring at him.
"He is." Devon grinned over at Grayson and wrapped his arm around his. I had no problem that Grayson was gay. It was just a big surprise. I never would have thought he was, he didn't act gay but then again not all gays acted that way. Devon sure didn't. Looking at them I noticed they looked good together, they were both very handsome and around the same height.
"Good choice." I leaned in to whisper to Devon who in turned laughed. Suddenly a thought appeared in my head.
"Grayson you're gay!"
"I thought that was clear a minute ago?" He asked staring at me as if I was crazy. Liam and both Devon looked at me with raised eyebrows almost asking if I was okay.
"No I mean you are gay what about Julie." I thought about Liam's sister and how she liked Grayson.
"What about Julie?" Grayson and Liam asked.
"She has a crush on you."
