Chapter Thirty-Seven:
I knew the names to all of my pups in a matter of hours. I decided the call the black male with the white tipped tail Twisted Fate, Fate for short. The second female, the runt, with the brown fur, black paws and black stripe down the tail, Azrael. The fourth pup, the last male, with the white underbelly and white paw is BlackOut. And of course, the one with the brown-ish ear was Blood Angel.
I had grown hungry a few hours ago. I had asked Ryan if he'd go and catch a hare for me, and he agreed.
It was taking him a while, and I was starting to get worried to what may be out there..

I sniffed around the Plains, trying to find the scent of at least a scrap of something. I was starting to get frustrated after a few hours. It was windy, the early spring breeze cold against my face. Spring was always my favorite season. I loved to see the flowers blooming, the green buds on the trees, the blue, clear skies. I was sad whenever it had ended, but also meant Summer was close ahead. Once I thought of that, I would always be happy again.
As I continued on my search for a hare, I heard something rustling in the trees of the forest. I looked up, ears perked, curious. A low, warning snarl escaped from my throat.
I slowly crept forward, ready to pounce any second.
When I had gotten about three feet away, the rustling stopped. I froze in place, letting another warning growl escape my lips. I sniffed the air once again, and it smelt of blood. An animal injured maybe?
When I heard nothing more, I pounced into the trees, ready to strike.
I hit the ground perfectly, landing on all fours. I looked in front of where I landed, and at my feet lay a bloody animal. At first I thought it was a fairly large hare, but when I looked closer, I saw what it really was. And what it really was, is something I'll never forget. It will haunt me in my dreams forever. For the rest of eternity..
