(Ryan's POV)

I slowly looked up from the ending footprints as I heard a low, deep snarl. My heart skipped a beat as I met eyes with a huge wolf, even bigger than I. He had snow white fur, and golden liquid eyes. I've seen those eyes before.. I thought, as I realized who'se eyes those were. Overrated. But Over's back at the den with the pups! And she doesn't have white fur.. Wait, Shane said her brother had white fur. Could this be Kahitra? I returned a growl and crouched low to the ground, looking up at Overrated's lost brother.

"What are you doing in my territory?!" He spat in my face and looked back at the bloody footprints I had been following, narrowing his eyes.

"I was just searching for a hare for my mate. She just gave birth a few days ago, and she's starving. I didn't mean to come into your territory, but I smelt the blood and thought it may be a hare. I'm sorry for my mistake Kahitra." I explained as I met his eyes once again.

His eyes widen when he heard me speak his name. "How do you know my name? And who is your mate you speak so kindly of?" He questioned and looked me up and down quickly.

I slowly turned my head so I wasn't looking him in the eye. I spoke slowly. "I know your name because I ran into Shane. And he told me about you, because my mate is your sister. My mate is Overrated an-"

He inturrupted me with exploding shock. "Your mate is Overrated?! My sister? Since when did she survive leaving our parents? Wow, brave wolf.." He chuckled, surprised.

"Well, yes. I'm not quite sure how she escaped, but she did." I looked down and sighed sadly.

"Why are you sad? Did I say something?" He asked politly.

"No.." I grumbled. "It's just, why didn't she tell me she had a brother?"

"Well, she may have forgotten about me. We were not very close to each other, but we got along when we needed each other. I am not sure why she decided to stay with our parents, either. I thought that was very strange."

We were both quiet for a very long time, trying to figure out the truth. The truth to all the lies. The truth to their past. The truth to the future. The truth to how I fell for such a wolf..
