"You what?!" Ryan said, shocked. "You're actually thinking I will believe all this? Serously?" He started to take steps closer to the wolf. "You little idiot..." He narrowed his eye and crept even closer.

"Well, Ry-"

"DON'T! Just shut up!! SHUT UP!" He screamed full of rage. "Just get out of here! I don't ever want to see your face again!" He lunged toward the wolf and pinned him to the ground by his neck. The wolf let him do what Ryan wanted. "Tell me your name..." Ryan growled in his ear.

"Shane..." The wolf growled. At least I knew his name. "I know her brother too. We were friends... His name is Kahitra.. Please, don't kill me. I will tell you everything I know about Overrated and her brother and her family. Just please, don't kill me.."

I had a brother?! I never knew about this! I decided this may be a good time to get up and try to get the truth out of Shane.

I silently rolled onto my stomach, digged my paws into the soft soil and struggled onto my feet noisly. And of course they noticed. When I got up, my joints made a loud cracking sound from staying in one postion for too long. They looked over at me, shocked to see me up so fast.

"Overrated.. I have finally met you.." Shane said formally.

"Shut up!" Ryan snapped and nipped at his neck as a warning.

"Get away from me.." I whispered and noticed I was out of breath as if I'd been running for a long time at full speed. But the only one who had heard me was Ryan.

"What..?" Ryan's eyes went wide with shock.

"Not you, him." I jerked my chin over to Shane who was still pinned by Ryan.

"Why beautiful?" Shane asked politly. But under the politness, I knew there was something dark and twisted about him, but I just couldn't figure out what it was.

I ignored his asking me why and replied, "You said I had a brother," I said coldly as I crept slowly over to Shane. I stared him down, eyes narrowed. "His name, Kahitra. Tell me about him, and I will make Ryan get off of you, and not kill you.." I lied smoothly and smiled widely, showing my fangs.

"All right, I'll tell you about him. But promise not to kill me?"

"Promise." I glanced over to Ryan and he let him go.
