I sat there, thinking for about five minutes. Nothing changed. I kept breathing, slow, deep, steading breaths.

"Oh, well, ok then," Ryan replied to the female. "So, you didn't kill it?!"

"Nah, we weren't even close.. But we chased it away!" The female sounded excited.

At that moment, i got the feeling in my paws a little. Underneth them, I felt something soft but very jagged. I thought it was grass, or either a bush. And I could feel that I was laying on my side. I smiled in my mind. At least I can feel something now.. I thought.

"Ok. Well thats good then." I could hear a smile in his voice. "Say, Ginger, could you possibly catch me up a hare or two?! I'm a little hungery, and I don't want to leave Overrated alone.." His voice trailed off.

"Oh, sure thing Ryan!! Be right back!!" She said happily and trotted off to go and find a hare. She looked like a Ginger. I like the name Ginger.. Its pretty.

"Hey Overrated," Ryan whispered in my ear now. "I don't know if you can hear me, but Ginger is gonna fetch us up some tasty hares, so when you wake up, you can eat. You look pretty beat up, too, sweetie."

That was the first time he called me sweetie. Cute.

I was fed up with not being able to move, so I tried to move my left paw a little. It was very hard, but I managed to lift it up a little, and I heard a excited gasp come from Ryan.

"Overrated!!! Overrated, can you hear me?!? Honey, your ok, your alive!!" He got up, and I could feel the breeze from his wagging tail on my hind legs. I wanted to just jump up on my legs and run around like crazy, but of course I couldn't.

All the sudden, the breeze stopped, and I heard deep, deadly snarls. It wasn't only one wolf, it was multiple wolves..
